B.A.P's Origins

Dirty Little Secret

We came from different backgrounds, but all gathered for the same reason. Our parents were killed for unjust reasons. Betrayed by the ones they worked for. He found all of us and brought us together. He took us in when we had no one and could trust no one. No other motives but to save the ones that were still alive after being destroyed by that monster.

We weren’t force into any of this.

In fact…B.A.P was YongGookie-hyung’s idea.

We all grew up together, losing our parents at such a young age; it’s no surprise that we got along so well, creating our own family between the five of us. We were happy with just that.

But YongGookie-hyung and HimChannie-hyung were determined.

Despite their young age, their experiences instigated their mental development much faster than normal. They felt all the horrible feelings that we felt and more.

They were going to bring justice to the world. To our world.

So no one had to feel what we all felt.

“We’re going to bring him down,” he growled, fire burning brightly with rage in the 13-year-old’s eyes. JunHongie and I didn’t know what YongGookie-hyung was talking about at the time but YoungJae seemed to understand.

And that’s how B.A.P was formed.

~

I grabbed his leg and jumped on his back, pinning him down with a smirk.

“Ah! Let go! I give, I give! JongUppie-hyung~!” whined JunHong as I pulled harder on his leg.

“So you promise not to steal any meat off my plate again?” I demanded, causing the 10-year-old to pout but nod his head. I let him up but not before shooting him in the with my BB gun. JunHong cried out in pain and shot me a dirty look, causing me to just laugh at his expression.

“JongUppie, behave. Those things hurt, don’t play around with them like that,” HimChan-hyung scolded with a stern look, making me feel guilty. I looked down at the floor and apologized to HimChan-hyung and JunHong.

Suddenly, YongGook-hyung stomped into the room, furiously slamming the door behind him. We jumped at his strange behavior, unsure of whether we should ask him what’s wrong. Sometimes he just gets angrily if we do.

Before we could decide what to do, the door opened again. Our boss (and savior) walked in with a fatherly smile…along with two other kids right behind him. They looked about our age, but seemed a bit malnourished and sickly. The one in front with short black hair held up the other with long black hair, in fear she might fall over. I cocked my head curiously seeing her clutch a rather large looking bag closely to her chest.

“Everyone, this is DaeHyun and DaeHee…they have suffered the same fate as the rest of you so please treat them well,” he told us before crouching down to DaeHee’s level and caressing her face gently. “Will you be okay waiting here until I find an available doctor?”

She flinched at the touch, instinctively jerking away, but nodded afterwards, clinging onto DaeHyun-sshi desperately. She didn’t seem okay to me…especially with how tightly her brother was holding her up…

After he left to go find a doctor, JunHong and I bounded over curiously. I guess our excitement came off was a bit unwelcomed when DaeHyun-sshi held DaeHee-sshi closer to himself, turning her away while throwing us a glare. His look stopped us in our tracks when we realized that we were probably a bit too enthusiastic.

“Hello, we didn’t mean to scare you…my name is JongUp. It’s nice to meet you,” I greeted from our distance which DaeHyun-sshi seemed to have deemed appropriate, smiling widely, happy to make new friends.

“My name is JunHong! Are you guys twins? You look so much alike!” he wondered in awe, going closer to get a better look at DaeHee-sshi who was buried against DaeHyun-sshi.

“Back off and don’t touch her,” DaeHyun-sshi hissed at JunHong, who backed off and hide behind me immediately.

“Hey, hey, there’s no reason for you to snap at him,” YoungJae-hyung shot up from his spot, patting poor JunHong on the head. “He was just being friendly.”

DaeHyun-sshi scoffed, “Look. We don’t need any of you. We just need a place to stay. So you can stop pretending you care about us. I can tell from his glare over there that we’re not wanted here.”

I looked back to see HimChan-hyung discussing with YongGook-hyung, who gave DaeHyun-sshi one of the scariest looks I’ve ever seen on his face.

“Oh, no…YongGookie-hyung is really…very nice…umm…he just…needs to get used to you…” I tried to assure them, despite that little nagging voice the back of my head screaming that I was lying and wasn’t sure why YongGook-hyung seemed so upset.

“Seriously, I don’t care if any of you like us or not…we really just want to survive,” he mumbled back, stumbling over to the side and helping DaeHee-sshi onto the floor. He grabbed a tissue and gently dabbed her face to clean her up a bit. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought she was dead from the way her eyes stared blankly forward, her body frozen in her position, holding onto that mysterious bag. JunHong and I gave each other a confused shrug before going over to our hyung.

HimChan-hyung tried to stop YongGook-hyung, who jerked out of HimChan-hyung’s hold, storming over to DaeHyun-sshi. Our leader pulled DaeHyun-sshi up by his collar, causing the younger boy to squirm in his grip demanding to be released.

“Listen, brat. I’m not interested in having you with us as much as you don’t want to be around us. I’ve trained these kids for three years now and I’m not letting you ruin everything we’ve worked so hard for. But I’m not so selfish as to turn down the request from the one person that helped us through everything. So why don’t you do us all a favor and stop your whining. You aren’t the only person around here that has a painful past,” YongGook-hyung growled deeply at DaeHyun-sshi, who just glared back at our leader.

“D-DaeHyun? DaeHyunnie?!” whimpered a small voice. I looked down in surprise to see DaeHee-sshi finally gaining a bit of life, but she looked like she was on the verge of tears. One of her hands clawed forward in search of DaeHyun-sshi while the other one still held onto the bag tightly. At the sound of her whines, DaeHyun-sshi shoved YongGook off of him to return to DaeHee-sshi’s side. She clung onto his shirt while tears fell from her eyes. His face contorted in pain at her distressed state.

“Where’s the doctor?!” DaeHyun-sshi demanded, picking DaeHee-sshi up. Her cries started to grow louder, so YongGook-hyung had no choice but to lead them to the wing where the infirmary was.

After they left, silence fell in the training room.

“H-Hyung…is…is she gonna be okay?” JunHong asked YoungJae-hyung, who could only offer JunHong an uncertain smile.

~

When we got back to our apartment, JongUp-hyung and I would usually rush to the T.V. to play a bit of video games before dinner while YoungJae-hyung helped HimChan-hyung prepare the meals. That day, we were much too worried about whether that girl was okay or not to play at ease.

“Ah!” YoungJae-hyung hissed as he cut his finger while slicing the carrots. JongUp-hyung and I ran into the kitchen after hearing the scream and see HimChan running YoungJae’s finger under some water.

“Be more careful, YoungJae-ah…it’s not like you to make a mistake like that…I’ll go get some antiseptic and a band-aid. The cut doesn’t look too deep, thankfully,” HimChan-hyung sighed, his eyebrows etched in worry. I pouted as YoungJae-hyung washed his cut. Everyone was on edge…I hope they get back soon…

Ring, ring.

HimChan-hyung picked up his phone as he came in with the band-aid.

“Ha?! What happened? Okay, I understand. I’ll be there in a few minutes.” After hanging up, he quickly bandaged YoungJae-hyung up and ran out the door. “I’ll be back shortly. Can you finish making dinner, YoungJae-ah?”

“Neh…” he answered absentmindly while HimChan-hyung left. “Come on, you two, help me with the rest of the preparations.”

We nodded, doing our best not to make a big mess.

…it wasn’t very successful. I’M SORRY, YOUNGJAE-HYUNG! WE DID OUR BEST! >.<

~

After an hour, we heard a knock on the door along with YongGook-hyung’s voice calling for us to open the door. YoungJae-hyung flew up from his seat to open the door. Immediately, YongGook-hyung and HimChan-hyung piled in with the two twins on their back.

“YoungJae-ah, get their beds ready for them,” YongGook-hyung grunted out as he placed the unconscious DaeHyun-sshi on the couch. HimChan-hyung did the same for DaeHee-sshi, resting her head in his lap as he brushed the hair out of her face.

“Hyung…what happened?” I whispered, afraid to wake the two sleepy heads up. HimChan-hyung gave me a gloomy stare before insisted.

“JunHong-ah…promise me you’ll be really nice to these two,” HimChan-hyung smiled forlornly as he DaeHee-sshi’s long hair. I crouched down on the ground and inquisitively gazed at the sleeping girl. Her face seemed even paler than I remembered before going in. I wonder what could have happened… Gently, I poked her cheek before retracting my hand and resumed staring at her.

“Is…she gonna be okay?” I asked HimChan-hyung anxiously when she didn’t even move when I poked her. He sighed, shaking his head in uncertainty.

YoungJae-hyung made the bed in his room for DaeHyun-sshi while HimChan-hyung moved his stuff into YongGook-hyung’s room for DaeHee-sshi. Since she was going to be the only girl here, we decided to give DaeHee-sshi her own room. After moving them into their respective beds, we all went back downstairs for food.

At the table, YongGook-hyung finally gave us the gist of the twins’ story.

“They weren’t as lucky as us,” he started off, eyes lowered, frustrated just thinking about it. “Boss hadn’t plan for that bastard to go after their family. It must have been a spontaneous choice.”

“…the girl…” HimChan-hyung covered his eyes with his hand, taking in a shaky breath before continuing, “…she saw her parents killed right before her eyes…”

I gasped in utter shock, clinging onto YongGook-hyung, looking up at him with pleading eyes, praying he would tell me that HimChan-hyung was just joking. But he just turned his head away, unable to meet my eyes.

None of us had to witness such a horrible tragedy. I don’t know how, but the Boss always found us before he attacked and saved us from the slaughter. We’ve all met the Boss before he took us in. Our parents were all good friends with him. I guess our parents trusted him to take care of us after they were gone.

YongGook-hyung continued explaining their circumstances, “They came from Busan…it was a long journey for them…and they had no money…it was a week before the Boss found them…that’s w-”

“AHHHHHHHH! W-WHERE AM I?! DAEHYUN! DAEHYUN-OPPA! DAEHYUN!”

We bolted up the stairs at the shrilled screams of DaeHee-sshi. HimChan-hyung immediately ran forward first, helping DaeHee-sshi up off the floor, but she pushed him away, covering herself, tears flowing out of her eyes as she searched the room for her brother.

“G-Go away…who are you people? Where’s DaeHyun? I-” Her eyes widened as she coughed.

HimChan-hyung slowly approached her this time, speaking softly, “DaeHee-sshi, DaeHyun is fine…he’s just next door resting…just like you should be doing or your wounds will never heal…we’re here to help you, okay?”

He offered his hand to her with a gentle smile. She looked at it hesitantly before glancing at the rest of us. I tried my best to look cheerful and friendly, but I couldn’t help but feel horrible for everything she’s gone through. JongUp-hyung must have notice. He held my hand, smiling brightly at me.

This is what DaeHee-sshi needs, right?

With JongUp-hyung’s support, I smiled back just as brightly, turning to DaeHee-sshi, who seemed to relax.

Her small, fragile hand reached out to HimChan-hyung’s large, confident one. She grazed just the tips of her fingers on his before jerking back a little as if scared HimChan-hyung might bite her. But hyung just continued smiling, not moving an inch from his spot. Her eyes darted up and down to his face back down to his hand a few times before trying again. She bit her bottom lip as she reached out, hand shaking the whole way. And like a child taking a brave leap into the pool, she slammed her eyes shut while ing her hand into his.

Ever so gently, hyung closed his hand over hers, keeping a firm but tender grip.

“Come on, let’s go check on DaeHyun-sshi,” he suggested, which caused her head to bounce up and down.

I had to hold in my giggle because it was really cute.

For the next few days, YoungJae-hyung stayed in DaeHee-sshi’s room while the twins worked out on their own what they were going to do.

“YoungJae-hyung?”

“Hmmm?”

“Do you think…they’ll stay with us?”

Hyung pondered over my question as I lay on the floor next to his/DaeHee-sshi’s bed.

“It sounds horrible, but I feel they have no choice…” he finally answered with a sigh.

“Hyung…” I pouted, “I want them to be part of our family…”

YoungJae-hyung smiled at me, “Me too, JunHong-ah.”

On that same day, DaeHyun-sshi and DaeHee-sshi agreed to stay with us.

I always wondered if it was because they heard my conversation with YoungJae-hyung.

~

“Ah! And then afterwards, we had a whoooole mess with Noona joining B.A.P!” JunHong exclaimed, laughing at the memory. JongUp laughed along, nodding.

“Yeah, YongGookie-hyung almost threw a fit!” JongUp added with a bright smile, shaking his head.

The two stopped laughing when they saw the stunned, horrified look on EunWoo’s face.

Concerned they did something wrong, JunHong leaned forwards and waved his hand in front of her, “EunWoo-noona? Are you okay?”

She shook herself out of her stupor and nodded but the pained expression never left her face.

“I’m just…shocked at what you all have been through…and…I’m really unsure of…what to say…” she stuttered out, trying to think of the proper words of condolence yet unable to find any.

JongUp smiled, thankful for her sympathy, “It’s something all of us have accepted. We can’t turn back time to change how things went. We can only keep moving forward and do what we can to make things better.”

“Not to mention we have a perfect family!” JunHong exclaimed, tackling JongUp at the waistline into a hug. “YongGookie-hyung is like our appa! But…I’m still confused whether HimChannie-hyung is supposed to be our umma or if JiEun-noona is…”

EunWoo couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle at the adorably serious face JunHong had on, genuinely considering the idea.

“Thank you…JongUp…JunHong…I really appreciate you two telling me all this…but…you aren’t going to get in trouble…will you?” EunWoo thanked gratefully yet concerned.

Their eyes widened, realizing they MAY, in fact, get into trouble and started panicking.

“Ah! What if YongGookie-hyung didn’t want us to say anything?!” JunHong freaked out, clutching onto his uncurled blond locks. “We didn’t ask anyone if we were allowed to tell her anything!”

“JunHong-ah…it’ll…be okay…I hope…I mean…we don’t really know much to begin with anyways, right?” JongUp nervously chuckled, but EunWoo could tell they were about to break down.

“Don’t worry! I promise I won’t tell anyone what you guys told me!” EunWoo assured, trying to calm the two terrified magnaes. They didn’t want to get in trouble with their hyungs…

“Pinky swear?”

EunWoo stuck out her hand and hooked each pinky with one of the two boys before touching their thumbs together.

“Pinky swear.”

~

Outside the room, HoWon sighed, getting up off the floor to the bathroom to wash up after hearing the whole story. He had politely suggested to EunWoo if she was curious what was going on, knowing the boys clearly trusted her more than him.

Now what was he supposed to do?

=====================================================================

*scratches head* Is this going to slowly for you guys? Should I reveal more or is this a good pace?

Also, in case you missed that, JongUp was talking for the first half of the flashback and Zelo was talking for the second half. I hopefully made the transition pretty obvious when Zelo referring to JongUp. XD  That wasn’t JongUp referring to himself no matter how special he is. :P

~Kira :3

P.S. FJEIOWAJGIOWJVNAIJEPIAFEWA SO MANY B.A.P FEELS. *tackles YoungJae* MINE.

=====================================================================

hiikyoung: BUT IT’S HER JOB! Not to mention, how boring would this be if DaeHee just randomly gets along with EunWoo. XDDD NO SPARK! I’VE EXTINGUISHED YOUR ILLUSION SPARK. EXTINGUISHED. *takes a cannon and shoots a larger hole in your JaeHee ship* Yesh, YoungJae and HimChan = super pro in that chapter. :) They are boss and twins cannot say otherwise.

NazSamz: *sighs in relief* Oh, good to know you don’t hate my updates or I would be sad. D: She dun actually hate Busan men. XD She’s ranting because she keeps falling for Busan guys and it’s pissing her off. :P *says nothing about DaeWoo and just walks away*

ELFyourface: DaeHee doesn’t actually hate Busan men~ Just ranting because they keep appearing in her life~ In this story, DaeHyun, DaeHee, Hoya and Jr. are from Busan. :3 NO PARODY! *runs away*

Yixicorn: DAEHEE IS A ING PSYCHO, SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A ING PSYCHO YET EVERYONE LOVES HERE. I UNDERSTAND NOT! But that’s okay, at least someone finally realizes she’s psycho. :P Poor EunWoo and Hoya indeed. They’re in pretty deep . XD I feel I’ve captured HimChan’s personality pretty well. :P And DaeHee was calling HimChan “Oppa” in a very sarcastic manner. XDDD For the record, she does call YongGook, oppa all the time. :P But yes, she doesn’t usually call DaeHyun, oppa. XD HimChan…is another story. XDDD I did think about the EunWoo/Hoya interaction. You can see at the end of this chapter. XD YoungJae and HimChan            are so boss in here. ^ ^ NO JAEHEE! *tosses the ship out the window and throws a grenade after it* JaeHee definitely has chemistry. :3 …but not romantic chemistry. =.= *puts DaeHee on a leash* DaeHee: …*snips with scissors* …hmm, well, I tried. :P MAGNAE LINE IS AWESOMESAUCE. They’re spoiled though, so it’s okay. :P YOUNGJAE+MACAW = JUST KILL ME NAO, CUTENESS OVERLOAD. LOL, ert Hoya makes me lulz.

LillyRiot: Hahaha, YongJi ftw. :3 Thanks for reading! ^ ^ *throws confetti as welcome party into this mind*

MaeilYogurt: Yes, the fog is clearing up~ *takes a wind machine and slowly blows the fog away* You should re-read everything from the beginning. XD Then everything will make sense. …I’m just kidding, don’t do that.

Chapter 38: I'm sorry but honestly speaking, Daehee is not my favorite characters, I get that she suffers but I dislike how she expresses it all. Like she doesn't seem to understand others pain, she doesn't give them a chance
And I like DaeWoo but will Eunwoo be a traitor? Like she has to have some type of secret and don't think I've forgotten about chanyeol and Key
