In 2016, you returned back to Korea, after four years of studying abroad. The rumor regarding Kai's relationship status back in 2012 was.... correct. You and Kai dated for 2 years before his debut. After his debut with EXO, things became rocky that you and him eventually broke up. Four years later you are about to meet him again for the first time in years. Who knew that "one night" could change your whole life?

Foreword

Time seemed to stay still when he finally appeared. The whole world stopped at a daze. You pushed your way through the throng of model-like people who populated this grand event. No man could even reach his level in this room. True, this event was full of beautiful men but he was above and beyond everyone else. He had that way of making you go insane and undone when you and him were together. Everything around you didn’t matter anymore. Your difficult past and unforeseen future didn’t matter anymore. What mattered the most right now was the present, this moment. You stared ahead, ignoring everyone around in this soiree who tried to pull you away from him. They all watched as you approached him. You weren’t going to let anyone stop you from seeing him tonight. He was now only a few feet away. His back was towards you. His form has changed in the last four years since you’ve last seen each other. He's become a man now. His sleek dark Armani suit was tailored perfectly to fit his body. There was something different in the way he presented himself tonight. Confidence was radiating from him. Your heart was beating erratically. It felt like it was going to rip out off your chest as you made your way towards him. You couldn’t breathe. He cocked his head around and slowly turned his body. You and him seem to gravitate towards each other, as your eyes locked. An intense stare was exchanged between you and him. Four years of pain, difficulty and hardship seems to vanish away from your hearts. Attraction and lust were still there. Love could possibly still be there. His signature smirk crept on his face, as he made his way to meet you. 

“Hello beautiful,” he said. “It’s been a while.”
