Trouble

3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

"What did you say to her?" L.Joe asked Mihye immediately when she returned to his side, leaving Minji in the other aldult's hands.

Mihye grinned. "Didn't any of you think to ask her what made her want to go home?" she raised her brows teasingly.

"Oh." L.Joe blinked. Mihye laughed heartily as she walked into the kitchen of the resort, finding snacks to bring to everyone. She looked at L.Joe, her gaze softening. "Doesn't Minji's parents spend time with her at all?" her voice dropped lower.

L.Joe shook his head as he got out some beetroot and celery to grind juice for the family members. "No. Come to think of it, it's the third time they aren't spending time with us on the family vacation." he tapped his chin in thought.

Mihye sighed and shook her head. "Are they that busy that they don't have time for their daughter?" she whispered. "Look at Minji. She's such an adorable and sensible girl when she wants to, but she feels lonely all the time being kept in such a large house with only maids for company. What she needs is her parent's love, not anything else."

L.Joe turned to look at her, his gaze unreadable. He watched as she sighed softly to herself and finished making the sandwiches, piling them up on the plate. She turned to him and blinked when she caught him staring. "What's up?"

L.Joe chuckled and shook his head. "Nothing. It's just.. I never thought of it that way. I always thought it's just the parental guide Minji's missing, it never crossed my mind that she's missing parental love too." he confessed. He looked at her with a little respect and pride, "You're amazing to have handled that, Mihye."

Mihye pinked. She bit her lip to remain nonchalant and got the juice he grinded into cups, bringing them on a tray. "It's nothing. If only you look close enough, there's lots of things you realize you're missing." she beamed lightly before walking out with the food. L.Joe chuckled and followed behind her, smiling. She really was his super wife.

"Mihye unnie!" Minji immediately bounded towards Mihye when the latter came out of the kitchen. "When did Umma say they were coming? Oh? I can't wait!" she beamed delightfully.

Mihye ruffled Minji's hair and sat down, pulling Minji onto the couch as well. "Don't be impatient, Minji. They'll be here by dinner today, so let's enjoy ourselves till then, oh?" she smiled.

The two giggled and played around, tickling each other. The scene was totally heart warming and could have been confused by others that Mihye and Minji were actually mother and daughter.

Key nodded as he walked beside L.Joe. "You didn't marry the wrong girl, Byunghun. She looks completely at ease with Minji. She'd make a good mother."

L.Joe nodded, thinking the exact same thing. Her warm smile was different from the ones she showed him. The ones he normally saw were gentle smiles, girly smiles, pretty and cute smiles.

But the ones she's showing now is completely different. She really looked warm and responsible, motherly even.

L.Joe thought she looked completely wonderful with Minji. The way they played together like two kids was heart warming and a wonderful sight to watch.

"Liking the sight?" Jonghyun grinned teasingly. "If you do, then step it up Byunghun! We look forward to the birth of your child!" L.Joe rolled his eyes and walked away, annoyed with his hyung's teasings.

He glanced back at Mihye and Minji and a smile came onto his face. *Still...she'd really make a good mother. I wonder if we had a child together what she'll look like.* he thought.

"WHOOOOOOO!!!" Minji squealed. Onew laughed when his little cousin screamed and shrieked and he ran even faster.

"Just put her down, Onew hyung." Minho frowned. "She must be scared." his face was fierce and intimidating like the one he always showed to scare people off.

Taemin sipped on his banana milk and rolled his eyes at Minho. "Don't sprout nonsense hyung. I'm the youngest here and I can understand Minji the best. She likes it." he shrugged intelligently. "Just because Minji doesn't bond well with you doesn't mean you have to be sour about it."

"YAHHHH!" Minho glared.

The family was at their private beach and having a time of their lives.

Mr and Mrs Lee chatted with Grandma and Grandpa Lee, and Uncle and Aunt Lee. The siblings and their parents got together and began catching up on the times they missed together. Grandma and Grandpa Lee smiled at their grandchildren, pleased that they were playing together so well.

"Put her down, Onew oppa." Mihye called. "She's got to eat something before playing." Onew obediently came back and put Minji down, panting. L.Joe gave his hyung a pack of tissues which Onew took to wipe his sweat off.

"Wow. I'm never going to get married and have a child." he grumbled. "It's so tiring!" he complained.

L.Joe rolled his eyes and chuckled lightly.

Mihye cleaned Minji up with a towel and fed her water. After firmly demanding that Minji finish up the crackers she brought, she patted Minji's head and sent her over to her SHINee oppas to have fun again.

Minji smiled at Mihye. "Gomawo unnie!" she beamed and ran off.

L.Joe smiled as he watched his hyungs play around with his little cousin. Mihye looked at him pointedly. "Don't you want to join them too?" she asked curiously.

"Nah." L.Joe shook his head as he laid back on the wooden chair that had a large umbrella covering the sun from the both of them. He sipped on his cocktail. "I don't think I'm fit enough for such play." he commented, seeing his SHINee hyungs and Minji run all around the beach like a bunch of lunatics.

"And besides, I'd much rather spend time with my wife." he commented and closed his eyes. Mihye blinked and stared at him.

L.Joe noticed the awkward silence, until he realized what he said. His eyes snapped opened, mentally smacking himself for sprouting nonsense. "I mean...err to show our parents and all." he cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Oh..." Mihye nodded, not knowing why she felt slightly disappointed. She gazed out at the sea and took a deep breath.

"The sea looks really nice." she smiled, satisfied. "I would love to swim in it. If only I brought my swimsuit." she pouted lightly.

L.Joe took off his sunglasses to look at her. "Want to play in the water?" he grinned.

Mihye's eyes widened at him. "Eh?"

L.Joe shrugged. "Even if you don't have a swimsuit, it doesn't mean you can't get in there to have fun." He almost laughed at Mihye's astonished expression.

He got up and pulled Mihye on her feet, noting how cute she was in her white sundress. He tugged her with him towards the sea and laughed at her horrified expression when he pretended to want to push her in.

"Are you scared of water, Mihye ah?" L.Joe teased, splashing a face full of water in her face. Mihye stared at him, startled for a while.

L.Joe frowned and waved his hands in front of her face. "Mihye?"

All of a sudden, a whole wave of sea water splashed in his face and he choked, swallowing some and wincing at it's saltiness.

Mihye let out a cute giggle as she grabbed her shoes, running away from him. "Literally in your face Byunghun oppa!" she yelled, darting away as fast as possible.

L.Joe looked at her and the sides of his lips twitched up in an amused smirk as he ran to catch up with her. "Yah Choi Mihye!"

Mihye let out a squeal when she saw L.Joe running after her and she darted off faster, laughing madly. L.Joe too broke into a smile at her cute actions while she dodged him, and chuckled.

The SHINee boys looked at the couple in envy, grinding their teeth. "Isn't that like some sort of drama scene?" Key pouted, watching them.

"Aish I really want to get married too." Taemin grumbled.

Jonghyun just rolled his eyes at the betrayer. "And he said he was too tired to run around." he grumbled. "But if it's Mihye he can. Minji ah Byunghun's a bad oppa neh?" he turned to the little girl that was standing beside him, only to find no one.

His eyes widened as he looked around, shocked. "Where's Minji?"

The SHINee boys were immediately alerted, until they heard a high pitched shriek. "KYAAA!!! HELP!"
