Kevin Time

3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

After her visit to L.Joe's office, Mihye went back to the mansion, slightly smiling. She had known that the rest of the department had been talkin bad about her behind her back while she had waited for L.Joe's meeting to end.

In fact, she knew that they didn't think she was anything of importance to L.Joe. She knew they thought she was just some sort of dressed down in attempt to seduce L.Joe, and was cursing her behind her back.

But she also knew that if she had opened and said that she was actually their boss's wife, they would never believe her, not in a million years.

She knew that trying to defend herself would make everything worse, so she chose not to say anything. It was hard to bear when they practically laughed at her in front of her face, but she tolerated it all.

And she wasn't trying to be a prude or anything, but when L.Joe told them off publicly and admitted she was his wife...

She felt protected.

She hadn't even thought to change into something more elaborate when she sent him lunch. It wasn't anything formal like a dinner or anything.

She just barged in their in her casual clothes she had been wearing at home and to say she regretted was an understatement. But she was really happy when L.Joe defended her that way.

She looked at her phone which still had that photo of L.Joe and her with the lunchbox.  Her face showed surprise and it was obviously caught when she was off guard. But she liked it. The picture. Even though it was taken for show for Mrs Lee, she still liked the photo very much.

Mihye returned to the mansion, smiling to herself with the now empty lunch box, replaying how L.Joe had smiled to her sincerely and told her that it tasted great.

She blinked when a small figure ran towards her and surprised her with a hug. She held the lunchbox away to prevent knocking her attacker's head.

"Seungji?" her eyes widened, and her frown replaced by a smile. She looked up to see Kevin running after his sister. "Ah Mihye! You're back?" he smiled brilliantly.

Mihye giggled and nodded, ruffling Seungji's hair. "Annyeong Seungji ah~ what brings you here today?" she smiled warmly.

Seungji beamed at her unnie. "Unnie! I missed you, that's why I made Umma bring me here so i could make cookies with you! But when I came unnie wasn't around!" she pouted. Mihye laughed. "Aigoo I'm sorry. I'm back now aren't I?" she comforted.

"You're making cookies?" she asked Kevin, smiling. Kevin nodded bashfully, happy to see his sister and the girl he loved clicking so well.

"Yeah. We were just done making the dough. We're doing the shapes now." Kevin notified, smiling gently. Mihye smiled at Seungji and took the little girl's hand in hers. "Then lets go decorate some cookies, shall we Seungji?" she asked cheerfully, and practically skipped towards the kitchen together with the little girl.

Kevin chuckled at the cute sight and followed after them. Mihye put on an apron and made Mihye put on a small on too, and even found paper chef hats for all of them to wear. Seungji was exceptionally excited for the chef hats and kept looking at her reflection in the metal stirring bowl. "Unnie I look like a real cook!" she exclaimed.

Mihye giggled. "Neh Seungji." she looked at Kevin. "Kevin oppa, doesn't Seungji look like a real cook?"

Seungji immediately turned to her brother, anxious for the result. Kevin pretended to think while tapping on his chin carefully. Seungji took a large breath and held it nervously, clenching her fists. "Who?" he pretended to look around. "I don't see my sister anywhere. I only see a real experienced cook." he grinned, pointing at Seungji.

Seungji let out a squeal of happiness. "Kyaaaaahh!! Oppa it's me! Seungji!" she exclaimed, as if Kevin didn't know.

Kevin's eyes widened in fake surprise and he bent down to Seungji's level. "Omo! This is Seungji?" he gasped dramatically. "I couldn't tell when you're all dressed like that!" Seungji giggled heartily as her brother tickled her and made her smile.

Mihye's smile grew at the heartwarming sight. She got the dough ready and carried Seungji to sit on the table top since the latter was too short. She flattened the dough while Seungji looked on, anxious and curious. Mihye gave Seungji a number of plastic cookie cutters and soon the young girl was printing cookies like a pro.

"Look oppa! I made a christmas tree!" Seungji held her christmas tree shaped cookie out, but unfortunately it dropped on the floor and was ruined. She pouted sadly but Kevin frowned at her. "Seungji...?" he warned.

Seungji immediately smiled again. "Arraso Oppa. I'll do it again!" she promised, and went on cutting cookies again. Mihye was impressed how Seungji could control her emotions so well, to hold back her tears and keep her unhappiness away at such a young age.

While Seungji was still busy cutting the cookies, Mihye went over to Kevin and whispered," Seungji's really well behaved." she noted. Kevin smiled. "You think so?" Mihye nodded.

Kevin sighed in content. "It took me a long time to teach her such stuff you know. She was born after my father passed on, so he wasn't here to educate her well. Thank goodness my mother's always at home to look after her or it'll be tremendously difficult to get her to listen."

Mihye smiled. "That's great. To have her mother at her side at all times." her eyes glittered as she looked at the happy girl, playing around with the dough. *If I'm a mother, I'll make sure to spend a lot of time with my child too.* she thought.

Soon, the cookies were ready to be put into the oven. Mihye and Kevin had to take out board games and turn on the tv, finding amusing stuff to catch Seungji's attention. But the girl just kept wondering over to the kitchen and staring at the cookies, wanting them to be done soon.

After a brutal hour long wait, the cookies were finally done.

Seungji cheered cheerfully as Mihye took the cookies out with her oven gloves careful to put them far away from the little one. Seungji tried jumping up the table to reach for them but Mihye frowned. "Don't. They're hot right now." she warned. "Unnie will take it for you."

Kevin smiled at how caring Mihye was, appreciating her every quality.

Mihye gave Seungji her cookies and went to clean up the bowls and cooking utensils. Kevin hurriedly followed, but his sister tugged on his shorts. He looked at her warmly. "Neh, Seungji?" he asked.

Seungji sighed as she bit into her cookie. "You know those cookies?" she pointed at the remaining cookies that were still left on the table top that Mihye saved for the maids and cooks and L.Joe. "Those cookies look heavenly and smell aweeeesome too." she muttered. "But if those were mine, I'll be so much happier because I can eat it."

Kevin frowned, opening his mouth to scold his sister for eating so much, until she effectively cut him off by continuing with her speech.

"It's the same with Mihye unnie." Seungji mumbled. "Unnie's really nice and pretty, and she's really like an angel. But it's no good if unnie isn't going to be my real unnie." she complained. She puffed her cheeks and looked up at Kevin pleadingly. "Isn't there a way for Kevin to marry Mihye unnie too? I don't want unnie to belong to anyone else."

Kevin bit his lips. He glanced back at Mihye who was still doing her dishes and not noticing the current exchange between the siblings.

"I want Mihye for myself too, Seungji ah." he whispered. "And now oppa has found out that she can be mine because she doesn't really belong to Byunghun. Just wait a few more months, Seungji, I'm sure Mihye will fall in love with me in no time. Arraso?" he smiled.

Seungji's face lit up. "Really? YAYYYY!!" she cheered loudly.

Mihye turned to face them. "What happened?" she laughed, pleased that Seungji was so happy. Kevin shot Seungji a look not to shoot off and Seungji grinned at Mihye. "Nothing, unnie. Kevin oppa just told me I could be a cook next time."

Mihye smiled and turned back to her sink. "That's nice." she commented.

Kevin nodded and looked at her. *Yeah. It's going to be really nice if you could belong to me.*
