Taemin's first two years of high school were hell. Just when the new school year starts like nothing's new, a short letter, a bottle of Gatorade and the school's weirdo takes him on a roller coaster ride. Maybe, just maybe, this year would be different.

Prologue

“. It hurts.” Sheesh. When did it NOT hurt? That Chansung…I’m not even doing anything to his girl yet. ing bastard. That guy and his gang seriously need to get a life. But what did I expect? It’s not as if there’s anything new. I wiped the blood from my mouth with my right hand and headed for the bathroom.

I washed my face with the cold water hoping to rid it of the red stains. The water turned into a soft pink as I try to clean up the freaking mess Chansung had done to my face. I sighed as I reach for my handkerchief in my pocket. Heechul hyung is not going to be happy about this.

I stared at my reflection for a few minutes. My lips’ busted from Taecyeon’s punch. A bruise on my right cheek is starting to have a shade of purple. Why did this happen to me? I don’t know. Ask those six jerks who just beat me up. Since I’ve entered this school, they haven’t left me alone a single day. This is my third year in this torture chamber and I still don’t have any friends. . Students tend to stay away from me because they don’t want to feel the wrath of the school bullies. I only have acquaintances… oh wait…except for Jinki hyung, the librarian’s assistant. Well, he can’t protect me though…the guy’s as gentle as a rabbit. The two of us don’t stand a chance against Chansung’s posy of dickheads.

I tried to stay away from them but they would tease me I’m gay and beat me up. Last year, I tried to court one of the cheerleaders but she happened to be Wooyoung’s eye candy and guess what, they beat me up again. They never ran out of reasons to beat me up…and I wonder why I don’t do something about it.

I went out of the bathroom and walked down the hallway. I’m all alone now...I think all the students went home already. I stopped in front my locker. I bent down to my bag and dusted off the dirt on it. I left this bag here when Chansung suddenly chased me around campus. At least no one stole it. I straightened my body and reached for the lock, I entered the number combination and the locker door creaked open- a bottle of Gatorade is inside and a letter's beside it

Hi Taemin!

                You don’t know me…but I know you. Kekeke. That sounded creepy but it’s true. You don’t know me…yet(?) kekeke. I don’t know if I can gather the courage to approach you and talk to you. Just thinking about it makes me nervous. Well…I thought of another idea to communicate with you. I hope this is okay.

I know it’s been an exhausting day for you so…I bought you a drink. It tastes good when it’s cold so drink it at once! Be careful when going home…don’t bump into more jerks. Till next time!

P.S I know you’re wondering how I opened you’re locker…I know it’s your birthday :p you’re too predictable. Please don’t get creeped out. >.<     

 A soft chuckle came out from my lips. She didn't put her name here. Wait, how did I know she's a 'she'? ugh...right. It's impossible for a guy to do this for me. Plus the pink ink's a giveaway. I folded the letter and slid it in one of my notebooks. I admit…it’s pretty creepy but it’s cute. Is someone just playing a trick on me? What if it’s true? What’ll I do? I grabbed the Gatorade and some of my books and closed my locker. I twisted open the bottle cap of Gatorade and drank it half-empty, the cold liquid awakening my senses.  This is weird…but at least, for once in my three years here in this damned institution, someone cared.
