A city built for you and me
Description
In between the artificiality of their comeback stages and the intensity of their dance practices, there is no time to stop and appreciate the precious moments in their bright glitter washed lives before their reflections are sealed away in the limitations of their glass memory where infinity does not exist.
Sunggyu finds refuge on rooftops and in the dusky confines of the crimson sunsets and Woohyun finds refuge in unravelling the threads of vagueness and inscrutability that is Sunggyu.
There is a city of paradise that exists for only Sunggyu and Woohyun. It has no name, it has no location and it has no words. It is simply theirs.
Foreword
Sunggyu had never considered being an idol. He wasn't one of them. He had no aspirations whatsoever to dress pretty, style his hair and sing disgustingly sweet pop songs that were completely not to his taste. No, Sunggyu was never going to be an idol - he was a singer. He is here to sing.
Which doesn't explain how he ended up in INFINITE, transitioning from indie rock music to singing those very same pop songs he used to depise long ago. But Sunggyu doesn't complain because between the sweat, the blood, the numerous dance practices and the nights were you were so hungry there was no sleep, he's discovered that maybe being an idol is not as bad as he first made it out to be. He panics when he first comes to this realisation and Woohyun has to calm him down. "Hyung. You're still singing aren't you?" So who is he really? Is he Sunggyu, the leader of idol group INFINITE, or is he Kim Sunggyu the singer?
Woohyun is fake in a number of ways. There's the cheesy aegyo, and then there's the intensity of his presence, two characteristics that obviously do not sit well with one another. On stage he is the lovable and ever popular Woohyun, and off stage he is still Woohyun, but is he the real one?
He doesn't really know, and just goes along with the flow, laughing with Hoya when the time is right and chasing after Sungyeol when the time requires it. INFINITE only requires Woohyun, and the rest of the members agree, including Sunggyu. "Just be yourself with us." Woohyun agrees and only relaxes around the sweet leader of INFINITE. In the end, Woohyun is just Woohyun, but the question still remains. Which one is the real Woohyun? Nam Woohyun or just Woohyun?
AUTHOR'S NOTES:
So....I was trying to write the next chapter of Dance with the Devil (honestly, I was really trying!), and somehow I snap out of it half an hour later, and instead of four pages filled with hot demons and y hunters, I end up with this. LOL WHUT? How did this even happen? Anyway, this is just a twoshot and you guys will be happy to know that I'm nearly done with the next chapter of Dance with the Devil.
P.S. I am convinced that ReddyHong will come and hunt me down and slaughter me in an extremely gruesome manner for breaking my promise and not updating Dance with the Devil. IM SRY PLS DUN KILL ME. I am so distressed my grammar is abandoning me :@
