My Phone!

“So how was staying at my grandmother’s house?” you asked Minho.

Minho looked around before turning to you, “It was horrible. I had to sleep next to the door to make sure that your cousin didn’t open it.”

“Damn those good looks!” you said sarcastically.

“Well, I just wanted to say that your aunt and cousin kept asking me questions, I couldn’t sleep at all,” Chunji complained to you in a cute manner.

“Aww… it’s only one more night…”

Chunji put his arm around your shoulder, “At least I’ll get you for the whole day today.”

“Eung and I made us a picnic.”

“Really? Because I made us food for a picnic.”

“Really? Then why don’t the four of us go on a picnic?” Woohyun asked.

“Why do you pop out of nowhere?” you asked.

Chunji glared at Woohyun.

~~~~~Chunji’s POV~~~~~

Why on earth is Woohyun sunbae constantly butting in my dates with Jenny? Is he doing this on purpose? Is he like the overprotective brother character who is trying to keep Jenny safe? But Jenny said that they’re not that close and yet he seems to be with her every single minute of the day… Does Woohyun sunbae have another motive? Is he trying to take Jenny away from me? I trust Jenny but I don’t trust him…

“So how about it? Minho, you want to go along?”

I turned to Minho and he scratched the back of his head in a confused manner.  WHY is he acting confused? He just heard that it was a day for me and Jenny to be together. It’s our date. She’s here to be with me, not to bring Woohyun sunbae along.

“I don’t know… I was planning for a little run around the fields.”

“Oh. Well Jenny, can I come along?”

“I just wanted to show Chunji oppa the river.”

“Well we only stayed there for a short while last night. You didn’t even show me around the rest.”

Last night? Those two went out after the barbeque last night?

“Woohyun oppa, why don’t you join Minho for a jog?”

They spent last night at a river, there is bound to be some real talk. He definitely likes Jenny and I don’t like it. There’s no other way. He’s not dense. He probably knows that he likes Jenny and he’s trying to when her over.

“If you want a tour, why don’t you go and ask Jenny’s brother to show you around?”

Yes, Lee Chan Hee, you have to stand up and keep your girlfriend away from him.

~~~~~Woohyun’s POV~~~~~

Far out, what is the meaning of this? I don’t want to be hanging out with Zelo and his friends. Being out here in here country… there’s nothing to do. Oh my gosh… I am going to die of boredom and insect bites.

“Hey Zelo, can we go to the markets.”

“Sorry hyung, I promised to meet up with my friends. You can always join us.”

“What would you and your friends be doing exactly?”

“I don’t know? We just decided when we meet up.”

The kid’s 15… I’m 21… there is no common ground.

“You know what? I’ll just go for that run and see if I can catch up to Minho.”

Zelo laughed, “Okay then. If you think you can.”

“Yeah? Well I heard from your sister that someone did beat him before. So why can’t I be the second person?”

Zelo shrugged, “You go ahead and do it then. I’m not going to stop you.”

I grabbed my phone and a towel and headed out to the fields. I can catch up to Minho. He had a 20 minute start but it’ll be like the tortoise and the hare thing, he’s probably resting and I’m going to catch up. Yeah… I can… yeah!

“Hyung, run along the river so you don’t get lost.”

You know; going for a jog is actually quite relaxing, despite the fact that I’m sweating like a turkey before Thanksgiving, ha, I heard that saying on those American shows. I can’t believe I’m actually using it. I could totally pass for a Korean-American. My English isn’t that bad.

I pulled out my phone to check the time.

“Hyung!”

Oh dear god! I jumped and my phone flew into the river.

“NO! NO! NO! MY PHONE!”

I jumped into the river to try and find it. Bloody hell it’s cold!

“Hyung!”

Wait, isn’t that Minho? Screw him; I have to find my bloody phone. Urgh! Where is my phone?

“Woohyun hyung, what are you doing here?”

I looked up to Minho and glared at him, “Fishing.”

Minho laughed, “Caught any yet?”

“I was being sarcastic! You dropped my phone into the river.”

“Me? I didn’t touch your phone.”

“You didn’t but you called out ‘hyung’ and I flinched and threw the thing into the air and now… it’s in the water,” I cried as I felt the bottom of the river.

“Do you need help?”

I continued looking around for my phone. Seriously, where can it be? It has my selcas on them... All my contacts as well! Bloody hell, the water is so cold!

I felt splashes of cold water on me and I flinched.

“Yah! Do you need to make such big splashes? It’s cold!”

“Hyung, it’s like the middle of spring…”

“Whatever, just help me find my phone.”

“Uhh… hyung…”

I turned around to see Minho holding up my phone, screen capped and dead from being drowned in the water.

“My phone!” I limped over to my phone and gently took it from Minho.

My precious phone… my precious phone… I have to pay for uni fees; I don’t have money to buy a phone. I haven’t been doing any side jobs… I don’t have money. I seriously feel like crying right now, why did I decide to go to the country? I don’t belong here. I miss the sound of cars and shops. I miss a place with good phone reception…

“Hyung, are you crying? We can always buy you a new phone.”

“I want this phone!” I stomped my feet before getting out of the water.

Seriously, when we head back to the city, I am giving myself a break from this case.
