Narrator’s P.O.V:
After dinner with Insoo, you felt stuffed. It was now time for the last two dates—Gunwoo and Chaejin’s.
You kicked rocks on the floor and looked up at the darkening sky. *I wonder which date is next?* You silently smiled to yourself and closed your eyes for a while.
At that moment, your ears perked up. A beautiful violin melody was heard in the deep of the night as you opened your eyes.
Intrigued and fascinated, you decided to follow the origin of the melody. You giggled to yourself. *This is exciting.* Slowly, you began to hear the violin becoming louder and louder.
A graceful figure in the distance made you stop in awe. Chaejin was beautifully playing the violin in front of a crowd. He didn’t look like the cute, pesky Chaejin anymore.
*I didn’t know that Chaejin played the violin… It sounds nice.* You kept watching him play.
He looked… sort of manly.
It was hard to believe, but he looked intent and focused on the classical piece that was resonating from the violin. Since you only knew a little bit of piano from Donghyun, you were stunned by his professional playing.
Unknowingly, a smile crept up onto your face and you clasped your hands together behind your back as you listened. At the end of the wonderful piece, Chaejin faded out and you clapped along with the other members of the crowd.
He instantly beamed when he saw you and jumped off of the ledge that he was standing on.
“Hyunjoo noona!” Chaejin ran up to you. You smiled and waved as he grinned even wider. “This is for you!” He popped a beautiful bouquet of thorn-free roses out of nowhere. You gasped, taken by surprise.
The people in the crowd aww-ed and cooed at Chaejin’s surprise.
“Chaejin… I don’t know what to say… I didn’t even get anything for you…” You gave him an apologetic look.
“That’s okay. I wasn’t expecting anything anyways. And just a simple thank you would be alright.” He giggled.
You bit your lip with a shy smile that couldn’t help but take over your lips, “Komawo, Chaejin-ah.”
At those words and your smile, Chaejin lit up like a Christmas tree. “You’re welcome, noona. Did you enjoy the performance? It was for you, you know!” He grinned.
You let out a laugh, “Yeah, I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you.”
Chaejin merely smiled, “Should we get going? I don’t have much time until it’s Gunwoo hyung’s turn.” You nodded and caught up with him as the two of you walked alongside each other.
You ended up being led inside a game arcade where you and Chaejin played Street Fighters, Pac Man, and other fun games. Chaejin even ended up winning a teddy bear and gave it to you.
After having a tie game of Dance Dance Revolution, the two of you sat down inside a nice, cozy café. You ordered donuts and coffee, and the two of you started chatting amicably.
“So, what did you do with the other hyungs?” Chaejin inquired as you giggled, “I’m not exactly sure. We just did regular things, I guess.”
“Oh? Like what?” He asked.
You planted your head on your hand and let out a ‘hm’. “Well, with Seyong oppa, we went to drink bubble tea and hang out at the park. After that, I walked around and went to little music stores with JunQ. Then, during Insoo oppa’s date, I almost got abducted by a look-a-like Insoo—“
“MUH?!” Chaejin’s eyes went as wide as saucers. You blinked at him as he gaped at you, “Really?!”
“Wait, Chaejin, you didn’t let me finish.” You stifled your chuckle and continued, “But Insoo oppa beat him up, got mad at me for wearing a dress, and then we went to go have dinner at the BBQ house.”
Chaejin gave you a look, “He got mad at you? Hyung went on one of his rampages again?”
“Well, it wasn’t quite a rampage…” You admitted sheepishly. Chaejin gave you apologetic eyes, “Did he do anything to make you hurt or uncomfortable? I can beat him up for you.” He punched the air.
You giggled, “That’s alright, Jinnie.”
Chaejin smiled. “Oh, that reminds me. You’ve started calling the hyungs ‘oppa’ now.” He pouted, “I wish you could’ve called me that, but sadly, I’m a few months younger.”
You gave him a sympathizing smile, “That’s okay. At least I’ll call you ‘Jinnie’. That’s cuter than ‘oppa’, right?” Chaejin seemed delighted by the idea and you gave him a hopeless smile. You were slowly warming up to the boys and seeing their inner charms.
“…Noona, you’re smiling a lot now.” Chaejin commented as he took a bite of the donut he was holding. You stared at him and became surprised. *Have I? I haven’t even noticed…*
“I… am?”
Chaejin swiftly nodded with another warm grin, “But that just means that you’re getting closer to us, right?” You doubtfully nodded. Chaejin noticed your anxiousness and deeply stared into your eyes, “Noona.”
You looked at him. “Forget that I said that. I don’t want to pressure you. None of us do, so please don’t get scared. We just want to… help you.” Chaejin sighed.
“Help… me?” You were confused.
“Later.” He promised, “It’ll all be explained later, but for now, just keep smiling like you did a few minutes ago before I even brought the subject up, okay?”
Warily, you nodded, “…Araso.”

After Chaejin’s date, you sat down at a bench. It was the nighttime now, and you were lost in your thoughts.
“…Noona, you’re smiling a lot now.”
“But that just means that you’re getting closer to us, right?”
*Am I? Am I really getting closer to them? I’m excited, but also a bit scared…* You let out a shaky sigh.
“Oi, little agasshi. You just let a bit of your happiness get away.” A voice called out to you as you raised your head to see Gunwoo.
“Here. I’ll get it for you.” Gunwoo grabbed thin air and pushed it towards you, “Your happiness is telling you to take a step.”
You tilted your head to one side in confusion, “Take… a step?”
“It’s telling you to not be afraid or nervous. Just go for it.” Gunwoo noted, “I might know what you’re feeling, but your body knows, right? Don’t be so nervous. Everything will end up being just fine.”
You were comforted a little by Gunwoo’s words and nodded. *He’s saying the right thing. I can tell.*
“Well then, agasshi, shall we go?” He stretched his neck as you jumped up, “Okay.”
After walking around a little, the two of you stopped at a few small stores. Gunwoo scrutinized all the different accessories and picked up a couple of cool-looking leather bracelets.
“As I guessed. You like fashion, don’t you?” You looked at the accessories and clasped your hands behind your back with a meek smile.
“…Yeah, I guess you can say that I’m interested in it. Saying that I’m not wouldn’t be a lie.” Gunwoo paused for a bit and looked at you up and down. “I’m guessing Haesun dressed you up? Her fashion style’s not bad…”
You made a face. It was your date with him and he was already complimenting another girl’s fashion sense. It was your cousin, but still. *Mwoya? Is he saying that my fashion sense isn’t good?* You looked dejected and kept quiet.
“I heard that.” Gunwoo said in an indifferent tone of voice as you gave him a sheepish look. “It’s not that your fashion sense isn’t good, but it’s true that it could have a little improvement.” He noted as you sulked.
“However,” He stopped, “You won’t have to worry about fashion, since I’ll be there to give you some pointers.”
A smile crept onto your face. *That means…*
“Obviously. Remember what we said when you first met us? You’re stuck with us until forever.” Gunwoo gave you a small smile before he went to go look at a couple of sunglasses.
You brightened and ran up to him, “I knew you had that kindness in you somewhere, Gunwoo oppa.”
Gunwoo froze, “Oppa?” He turned to you and blinked, “You’re calling everyone oppa now?”
You tapped your chin, “Yeah. Jongup oppa said that whenever I feel comfortable, I should consider calling you guys oppa, and I felt like taking a step forward, so…”
Gunwoo kept his stare on you as you suddenly felt uncomfortable, “Do you… not like it?”
“It’s not that.” He automatically replied. “Just… I’m proud of you.”
You stared at him as he picked up a pair of sunglasses which suddenly seemed interesting. They were a pretty pair and seemed to fit him well, though.
You softened and smiled to yourself as you snatched the glasses away from his hands, “My treat.” You sauntered off to the cashier and started paying for them out of your own pocket.
*What is she doing?!* An alarmed Gunwoo ran to you and asked you exactly that. You grinned, “Don’t worry about it, oppa. After all, you don’t even have any sunglasses yet. Just keep it a secret from the others, araso?” You put a finger up to your lips as Gunwoo amusedly let out a smile. *Thank you… Hyunjoo.*
After you bought him the glasses, the two of you walked around the streets of Seoul. Gunwoo guiltily looked at you, “You really didn’t have to buy these for me. You wasted your money.”
You gave him a firm look, “At times like these, you should smile and say thank you. What’s done is done. If you decide to go refund it, that’s when I’ll really get upset!” You warned as Gunwoo chuckled.
He contemplated that for a bit until he stopped walking.
“Jo Hyunjoo.” He called as you turned around, “Yeah?”
Gunwoo waved you over as you quizzically obeyed. “Please don’t get all scared. I’m not going to hurt you, okay?” He said in a calm voice as you slowly nodded.
At that moment, he held both of your cold hands in his warm ones. “Just remember that I’m Gunwoo oppa, not Junhyung, alright?” He whispered as you froze.
*Wait—how did he know?*
*Later, Hyunjoo. Later.* Gunwoo’s voice popped up into your head as you slowly relaxed.
“Close your eyes.”
You did so, but hesitantly. You were afraid. Gunwoo gave your hands a reassuring squeeze. *It’s okay, Hyunjoo.*
“And now, my gift to you, in exchange for the sunglasses.” You felt him move a bit and flinched a little, letting in a shaky breath.
“Don’t be scared.”
At that moment, Gunwoo pressed his lips to your forehead in a sweet kiss. You were about to open your eyes when you remembered that he told you to keep them closed. You nervously did so.
When he pulled away, you slowly opened them. The people around you seemed invisible now. It was only you and him.
Gunwoo smiled a little and rested his forehead against yours, “Is this… okay?”
You nodded a little as he softened again.
“I’m so proud of you, Hyunjoo. You did it.” He smiled at you as he breathed in your sweet scent.
You’re getting there, Jo Hyunjoo. You’re getting there.
