The next morning you got up later than usual. You checked your face in the mirror and sighed. *Great. My eyes are swollen.* You tried to cover up the swollenness with make-up. Done getting ready for school, you woke up the boys.

You went into Youngjae’s and Zelo’s room, “Oppa, get up. Zelo, time for school.” Youngjae got up with a big yawn. Zelo kept sleeping. “Oppa, can you wake Zelo up?” You requested. He groggily nodded.

“Thanks.” You stopped in front of the next door. Behind that door was Daehyun. *Whatever. Just act normal.* You took a deep breath and entered. The room was darkened by the curtains that shut out all the light. You walked over and pulled them open.

Jongup got up immediately. You looked at Daehyun who was buried under the blankets. “Jongup oppa, can you wake Daehyun oppa for me?” You whispered. He nodded and rubbed his eyes, “Sure.” “Thanks.” You gave him a small smile and went down to make breakfast.

Youngjae and Zelo came down to grab some toast. You brushed Zelo’s hair out of his eyes and fixed his curly head. “Aigoo, you big baby.” You chuckled and fixed his tie. He was like a zombie and just kept chewing while rubbing his adorable eyes. You felt arms wrap around your waist and looked back to see Himchan. He rested his chin on your shoulder with his eyes sleepily closed. “I don’t care if you have a boyfriend. You’re mine.”

You rolled your eyes and pulled his arms off of you, “Let’s go. We’re late. Youngjae oppa, can you call the others?” “SCHOOL!” He shouted. “Damn boy. Lower your voice.” Yongguk came out of the room with disheleved hair. You put on your backpack and waited for the others to come down. Jongup and Daehyun appeared on the staircase. At the sight of Daehyun your heart did a flip-flop in your chest and you felt strangely apprehensive. *His mask is back on.* Your stomach sank. Daehyun met eyes with you and stopped. You gulped as you stared back.

“What the hell?!” Yongguk’s yell made both of you break the staring contest. “Who did this to the wall?!” Yongguk felt the crack in the wall with wide eyes. Your eyes widened *No way. Daehyun oppa?!* You looked at him. He quickly looked away, ashamed. *He must have been really mad at me.* You thought.

“Come on! I want to ride my skateboard!” Zelo whined and headed to the door. You quickly went with him, “Zelo, can I ride on your skateboard with you?” He brightened, “Sure, noona.” You glanced back at Youngjae, Jongup, and Daehyun and left first with Zelo. Daehyun’s shoulders fell *She doesn’t want to be anywhere near me now. Great job, Jung Daehyun.*

You arrived at school with Zelo and departed ways with him. You went to your locker and opened it. You pulled out a couple textbooks and shut the locker closed. Out of nowhere someone swept the heavy weight from you. You looked up and your eyes widened in panic.

Zico smiled at you, “Hey.” “H-Hi.” *Crap! I’m not prepared for this girlfriend thing! What do I say? How do I act?* You wondered. “Did you like the flowers I brought you last night?” His eyes twinkled. You nodded, “I did. I put them in a vase. Thank you for coming by last night.” “No problem.” Zico smiled, “Come on. I’ll walk you to class.” You awkwardly walked next to him. You bit your lip and glanced at everything but him. *Are we supposed to hold hands? What do we talk about now that we’re a couple? Or was last night a big joke and I got into a fight with Daehyun oppa about nothing?*

In the midst of your thoughts, Zico was already acting. You felt fingers wrap around your hand and you jumped. Zico gave you an amused look, “What’s the matter? Scared of holding hands with your boyfriend?” *So he was serious!* You thought. You glanced down at your hand in his. His hand was big and protective. Your heart was slamming in your chest at the contact. *This feels nice but weird.*

Students stared your way. “Omo, are they going out?!”

“How come she has all the hot guys around her?! Now one of them is her boyfriend!”

“Zico and Yeojin are the new couple?!”

You felt your face grow warm. Zico ignored their comments and led you to class. Jiyeon saw you appear and raised her hand. But her expression grew puzzled when she saw Zico with you. *What are they doing together again?* Zico handed you back your books. “Thanks.” You shyly bit your lip and looked at the ground. *How cute. She’s shy. I must be her first boyfriend.* Zico smiled. Unexpectedly, he leaned in and kissed your cheek.

Jiyeon gasped *What just happened?!* You touched your cheek and stared at him, stunned. “See you at lunch?” Zico murmured. You slowly nodded and whispered, “See you at lunch…” Zico waved and left.

Still dazed from the second kiss with Zico, you stumbled into the classroom. Jiyeon yanked you down, “I saw that!” You snapped out of your daze, “Huh?” “I saw you and Zico! What’s going on?! Are you two going out?!” Jiyeon threw questions at you. You turned red, “The thing is…” Her eyes probed your face. You finally spilled, “Yes, we are.” “WHAT?!” Her eyes were wide. She was surprised yet excited. *She’s going out with Zico. That means I have Daehyun all to myself!* “How did it happen?” Jiyeon asked. You told her the events of yesterday. She beamed and hugged you, “I’m so happy for you! You and Zico make a cute couple!”

You blushed, happy by her enthusiasm, “Thanks.” *At least she’s happy for me, unlike someone.* The thought of Daehyun made you depressed again. You forgot all about Daehyun and Zico until lunch.

You and Jiyeon sat at your normal spot with food. You were laughing and talking with Jiyeon when someone just sat next to you. You blinked at the visitor. Jiyeon’s eyes widened and she whispered, “Zico.” His arms were crossed at the table and he glanced at your tray, “Are you done eating?” You glanced at Jiyeon then shook your head, “Not yet.” “Keep eating.” Zico said. You picked up your spoon and put some rice into your mouth.

Zico looked at Jiyeon who jumped in surprise. “I haven’t formally introduced myself to you before.” He held out his hand, “I’m Zico, Yeojin’s boyfriend.” Your face turned crimson at those words. Jiyeon shook his hand, “H-Hi. I’m her best friend.” “I know.” Zico simply replied and looked at you again. “You have something here.” He wiped the corner of your lips with his thumb. Your face flushed hot at his touch.

You glanced at Jiyeon who stared at him in surprise. *He’s fast, isn’t he?*

You finally finished your food. “Done? Great. Let’s go.” Zico took your hand.

“Wait.” You looked at Jiyeon. She shook her head, “Don’t mind me. I’m going to finish up some homework.” “You sure?” You asked. Jiyeon nodded wholeheartedly. “Araso. See you later then.” You waved and got up with Zico. Jiyeon turned her head to see Daehyun on the other side of the room. As expected, he was watching you. Jiyeon smirked *Too bad your Yeojin is taken now.* Zico and you went out to the field. He led you to the bleacher under the shady tree.

Zico sat down and blew the leaves off the space next to him. “Sit.” He patted the seat.

You warily sat down. Zico saw how you were keeping your distance. *She’s even farther from me now that she’s my girlfriend.* “Come closer.” He put an arm around your waist and pulled you close to his side.

Your eyes widened at the contact. You felt his eyes on your face and you did everything you could to avoid his gaze. *Why is it so hot?* You fanned yourself.

Zico rested his elbow on his leg and just watched you. You couldn’t take it anymore and blurted, “What?! Why are you staring at me like that?” Zico smirked, “I’m your first boyfriend, aren’t I?” “M-muh?! W-why would you assume that?” You asked. “It’s obvious. You don’t know what to do around me or what to say to me at all.” He pointed out. You paused then asked, “So…what do I do around you and what do I say to you?” Zico laughed, “Serious?” You pouted and crossed your arms, “Sorry I’m not a dating expert like you.” Zico smiled, “Too bad I’m not a dating expert either.”

You stared at him, “You’ve never had a girlfriend before?”

“Not one I was serious about like I am with you.” He responded.

Your expression softened *See Daehyun oppa? He knows how to say sweet things.*

“Just don’t worry about acting or talking differently. Be yourself. That’s who I fell for.” Zico smiled. You nodded, “Araso.” It was quiet. *I should loosen her up.* Zico poked your side. You gave him a strange look. He poked you all over the place: shoulder, arm, cheek, leg, etc. “What are you doing? Stop poking me!” You poked him back. Zico poked you right back. Soon it was a poking contest. “Poke, double poke, triple poke!” He poked you for the last time and ran away. “Hey!” You ran after him. Zico laughed as he ran backwards, “Can’t catch me, Panda Bear!” You pouted *No fair. He has longer legs than me.* You finally caught up to him and poked his forehead back. He gaped at you in surprise. You stuck out your tongue, “Caught you now. What are you going to do?”

“Aish. Come here.” Zico strode towards you. Shrieking with laughter, you ran away.

“Come here, Panda Bear!” He chased you around the field.

Daehyun was watching from a window. His heart hurt how you were being so playful with Zico. *I know she doesn’t feel the same way as him. But I’m scared she’ll fall for him soon enough.* “Cute couple, aren’t they? They’re having so much fun.” A voice said. He looked up to see Jiyeon. She gazed at you and Zico and a small smirk came upon her lips, “They finally got together. I knew the chemistry between them wouldn’t die down.”

*Chemistry? What fucking chemistry? It’s not chemistry if one side is not reacting at all.* Daehyun grew annoyed. “It’s like they’re meant to be.” Her cat-like eyes bore into him, “Don’t you think so?” *No, I don’t think so at all.* Daehyun turned around and walked away. Jiyeon crossed her arms in satisfaction. *Too bad pouting won’t get you nowhere. You only have me now, Jung Daehyun. You’ll come to me for comfort. I’ll make that happen.*

Zico caught you around the waist, “Gotcha.” You laughed but the laughter slowed down when you saw that his face was close to yours. You swallowed hard *We’re not going to kiss again, are we? This relationship is going too fast.* Luckily, the bell rang. “Get up, baby.” Zico straightened you up but his arms were still around your waist. His eyes softened and he leaned in. You wnced, wondering if he was going to kiss you on the lips this time. But all he did was plant a gentle kiss on your forehead. Your eyes grew wide.

Zico pulled back and softly smiled at you, “Panda Baby. I like that new nickname.”

You softened *I think I like it, too.*

Holding hands, the two of you went back inside. Zico walked you back to class. “I have to go somewhere after school but how about we meet up tomorrow?”

“Tomorrow?” You tilted your head.

“It’s Saturday. We can have our first official date.” He smiled.

*Date?* Your heart fluttered. You meekly nodded, “Sure.”

“Great. See you tomorrow…Panda Baby.” Zico squeezed your hand and released you.

You went back into class, thinking about tomorrow.
