On Monday you went back to school. You departed ways with the boys and headed to your locker.

Jiyeon came over, “Hey.”

“Hey.” You smiled, “Thanks for sending me the e-mail on time.”

“No problem.” She answered.

“Let’s go to class.” You shut your locker and the two of you headed to your homeroom. You stopped when you saw Zico, Kyung, and U-Kwon coming from the opposite side. You remembered Saturday night and blushed immediately. Zico stopped talking with his friends and looked at you. A knowing smile came on his face.

You quickly ducked your red face behind your book. Jiyeon gave the two of you strange looks. *What’s going on?* “L-let’s go.” You quickly darted into the classroom.

*She’s shy. Cute.* Chuckling Zico went to class.

Puzzled, Jiyeon sat next to you. “What happened out there?”

“Nothing.” You quickly answered.

“It didn’t seem that way. Did something happen to the both of you over this weekend?” Jiyeon asked.

You turned red right away. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion, “Something DID happen, didn’t it?”

You sighed, “Sort of…” Jiyeon turned to you in a flash with demanding eyes, “Spill.”

*Jiyeon deserves to know, right? She’s my best friend, after all. I could confide in her.* You took a deep breath and told her. Her eyes grew rounder and rounder by the second. By the end of your story, her eyes were almost popping out of her face. You sighed, “Yeah, horrible of me, right? I lied to my oppas. But I can’t help but feel Zico isn’t really all that bad.” Jiyeon paused to let it all sink in.

*Horrible? Not for me. In fact, it’s perfect.* She opened her mouth to ask a probing question but Mr. Yoon came in, “Open your books.” He erased the chalkboard of random scribbles. You took out your book and opened it to the correct page. Jiyeon quickly took out a piece of notebook paper and wrote something on it. She passed the paper to you. You glanced at her then opened the note.

‘Do you like Zico?’

You blushed at the question and wrote back, ‘As a friend, yes.’

‘What about boyfriend?’ Jiyeon pressed.

‘I’ve never thought about it!’ You scribbled back. *Boyfriend? Zico?! My oppas would pass out!*

It was lunch time. You and Jiyeon finished eating and headed to the classroom to talk alone. On the way upstairs, you ran into Zico. Both of you stopped and looked at each other.

“Hey.” He smiled. “H-hi.” You started to walk past him.

“I thought you said you wouldn’t avoid me.” Zico pointed out. You stopped *Oh yeah.* You glanced up at him.

“Um, I’ll be in the class first.” Jiyeon left.

“I have to give credit to your friend. She knows when to leave.” Zico chuckled. His eyes focused on you again and they softened, “You were going to run away from me again. You hurt me.” He sniffled and put a hand to his pained chest.

“Sorry.” You mumbled. “I’m still getting used to you and me.”

*You and me.* The three words made his heart flutter. Zico suddenly sat on the step. He patted the space next to him, “Sit.” You glanced around to make sure no one was coming up then sat down.

“I have something for you.” Zico put his hand in his pocket and pulled out something. You couldn’t help but smile at the strawberry milk. “Drink it.” He shook it. You took it and poked the straw through the aluminum foil. You started to sip on the sweet drink. Zico watched you with a growing smile on his face.

When you were done he held a lollipop out. You blinked at the new sweet treat then chuckled as you took it. “You have random sweets on you.” You popped the lollipop in your mouth with a thoughtful look, “You would make a good couple with my friend Jiyeon.”

His eyes turned serious and body became rigid. “I don’t think so.”

“Why not? She’s cute.” You shrugged.

“You don’t know the definition of cute.” Zico murmured. *Silly girl. You are cute. The cutest girl I’ve ever met.* “Did you go home well Saturday night?” He asked.

Faint blush crossed your face and you shyly nodded. “What about you?”

Zico smiled and nodded. “Did you have fun?”

“I did.” You honestly admitted.

“Should we go again sometime?” He asked. You paused then spoke, “I think…that would be nice.”

Zico grinned and you smiled back. You popped the lollipop back in your mouth before your smile could grow bigger.

Jiyeon was spying on you two from the entrance. She pressed her back against the wall with a sly smile *That’s it, Song Yeojin. Fall for Zico and leave your oppas to me.*
