Lunch couldn’t come soon enough. When it did, students charged out of the room as if they were going to explode if they stayed in the classroom any longer.

You were about to leave when the new girl spoke, “Um, excuse me?”

You turned around, “Yes?”

“Can you show me where the cafeteria is?” Jiyeon asked.

“Sure. Right this way.” You offered.

“Thanks.” Jiyeon quickly followed you. The two of you received stares as you passed by. “Um, why is everyone staring at me?” She uneasily asked.

*It’s not you. It’s me.* You sighed quietly. “Don’t worry about it. There is the cafeteria.” You pointed.

The two of you entered the vast room. You explained to her about how to get her food. “Pretty easy, right?” Jiyeon nodded. You went in line and she followed you. You grabbed a tray, got the rice and side dishes, and gave the cafeteria lady the meal ticket. You thanked her and went to sit at a table.

You were about to eat when a shadow fell over you. You looked up.

Jiyeon bit her lip, “Do you mind? Everyone else doesn’t seem to like me …” She glanced back at the girls glaring daggers her way.

*I know how that feels.* “Go ahead.” You said.

“Thanks.” Jiyeon sat in front of you.

“So you’re from Kangnam?” You asked. She nodded. “That’s cool.” You continued to eat.

Another shadow fell upon you. *Who is it now?* You looked up.

“Hi, noona!” Zelo waved with a smile.

“There you were. We were looking everywhere for you.” Youngjae said.

“I’m usually sitting here.” You pointed out.

“Still.” Youngjae shrugged.

Jiyeon couldn’t stop staring at the four beautiful blonde males in front of her. Especially the one with the black mask on. Youngjae finally noticed her and blinked in shock, “Oh! You finally made a friend!”

You scowled, “Thanks, oppa. You made me sound like a loser.”

Jongup patted your back, “You’re not a loser. You just don’t have any friends.”

You face-palmed your face and shook your head *That’s the same thing!*

Daehyun noticed Jiyeon staring at him and he finally looked at her. She jumped and couldn’t breathe. *His eyes!* Daehyun furrowed his eyebrows *What the hell is she staring at?*

“So that means you won’t need us?” Youngjae asked. “I never needed you.” You argued.

“Lie and you know it. I’m going then.” He poked your cheek and left. You pouted *Meanie.*

Jongup waved, “Have a good lunch!”

“Bye-bye, noona.” Zelo waved and followed them.

Daehyun started to walk away but stopped and looked at you. His eyes softened. Then he faced forward and left the cafeteria.

Jiyeon snapped out of her daze, “D-do you know them?”

“Huh? Oh, those boys? Yeah…I live with them.” You muttered. She gasped with her eyes bugged out, “You live with them?!”

From her expression, you could tell she was thinking of something inappropriate. You shook your head, “Not like that. We grew up in the same orphanage and we were taken in by the same foster father except he passed away and now…yeah…” You awkwardly stabbed your kimchi.

“Oh…okay.” Jiyeon cautiously peeked at you, “Are you, um, close to them?”

“I guess you can call it that. They’re mostly annoying.” You admitted.

Jiyeon thoughtfully chewed her food.
