Ever since the New Year’s Eve incident with Zico, he seemed to have gained courage to come closer to you. He always greeted you in the hallways and visited you at the most random moments. You had to make sure Youngjae, Jongup, Zelo, or Daehyun weren’t around. You knew they would have a fit, especially Youngjae.

During break, you and Jiyeon stayed in the classroom and just talked. Suddenly, the classroom filled with murmurs. You heard one girl say, “It’s Zico.”

That made your head turn. You blinked in surprise as Zico bumped lightly against your desk.

Jiyeon’s eyes widened and she stared at him in surprise. *What is he doing in our homeroom?*

Zico’s attention was on you only. His lips curved into a smile, “I thought I would find you here.”

You quickly glanced around. You didn’t see any of the B.A.P. boys around.

Zico grabbed your book and looked through it, “What are you studying? Jane Eyre?”

You snatched the book back, “Give it back. And for your information, I wasn’t studying it. I was reading it.” Zico chuckled. He thought you were crazy for doing that but at the same time admired your intelligence.

Jiyeon glanced back and forth between you two in confusion. *What’s going on? Are they friends, too?*

“What are you doing here?” You crossed your arms with a look that was supposed to be stern and scare him off. Of course, Zico didn’t budge. He just came closer. “I wanted to give something to you.” “What?” You raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

Zico pulled out something from his back and placed it on your desk. You glanced down and saw a carton of strawberry milk. You stared up at him in surprise, “What-“

“See you at lunch.” Zico gave you a wink and left.

Girls murmured and looked your way.

“B.A.P. isn’t enough so now she has to have Block B, too?!”

“Ridiculous.”

“What do they see in her?”

You stared at the strawberry milk. You were kind of touched by his random action and your expression softened.

Meanwhile, Jiyeon was studying you. She just didn’t get it. *Why are boys flocked to her like bees to a beehive? They’re all blonde, too. I’ve known her for about four months now and still I don’t see anything that makes her stand out.*

A couple hours later, it was time for lunch. You and Jiyeon ate lunch outside and headed back inside. Block B were on their way outside.

“Oh!” U-Kwon pointed. Zico turned his head. A wide grin spread on his face. “Enjoy the strawberry milk I gave you?”

“It’s in my backpack.” You replied and passed by. Zico caught your arm and you looked at him. “You do like strawberry milk…don’t you?” He searched your eyes.

“Er, yeah. But I like banana milk better.” You quickly went inside.

“Banana milk, huh? Next time then, Panda Bear. Next time.” Zico smirked, touched his bottom lip, and went to catch up with his friends.

Above in his classroom, Daehyun had seen the whole interaction. Something uneasy stirred in him and he gripped his fist tightly *They’re getting closer and I don’t like it. I still don’t know what they did on New Year’s Eve. Please, Yeojin, whatever you do, don’t fall for him. That guy is trouble.* He shut his eyes in pain.

After school, you met up with Jongup, Youngjae, Zelo, and Daehyun. The five of you were about to leave when Youngjae received a message. “Aw, shit. The Auto Shop is having a particular busy day so we all have to help. You’ll have to walk home alone, Yeojin.”

“That’s fine.” You nodded. “I’m just going to stop by the market and get a few things for dinner.”

Jongup stayed behind as the rest of the boys followed Youngjae. “Wait, hyung!” Jongup blurted. Youngjae turned around. “I’ll go with Yeojin to the market. She can’t carry heavy things home by herself. I’m sure Youngguk hyung will understand.” Jongup said.

Youngjae nodded, “Hurry up.” “I will!” Jongup said.

You and Jongup headed towards the supermarket.

“You didn’t have to do that, Jongup oppa. I could have gone myself.” You said.

“Nah, I’ll help you. Besides...I don’t want to work too soon and get my hands greasier than necessary.” He said.

“A-ha! So you had an ulterior motive!” You pretended to bust him and he sheepishly grinned while he rubbed the back of his neck, “Caught. Mianhae.” You laughed freely, “No problem, oppa. I understand. Thanks anyways.”

The two of you entered the supermarket. Jongup followed you with the cart as you shopped for items for tonight’s menu: curry. You saw strawberry milk in the dairy corner and remembered Zico’s ‘gift’.

“Yeojin?” Jongup called. You snapped out of your daze, “Er, I need carrots.” He followed you to the vegetables.

After getting everything you need, the two of you checked out and headed home with bags of groceries.

“Fancy meeting you here.” A voice said.

You and Jongup turned around. Your eyes widened in alarm *Crap!* Jongup immediately went on defense. His sweet, innocent smile was replaced with a warning glower. Zico could care less about him and walked straight towards you. “Shopping?”

You bit your lip in panic *Don’t talk to me so casually!*

“Did you drink the milk I gave you yet?” Zico asked.

Jongup looked at you, surprise on his face. *He gave you milk?!*

*This can’t be good.* “Sorry. I have to go.” You turned to go but Zico grabbed your arm, “You need a ride? I’ll take you home.”

You cast a panicked glance at Jongup, whose fist was getting paler by the second. “N-no, thanks-“

Zico wouldn’t let you go, “Aww, come on. Your so-called ‘boyfriend’ isn’t even here-“

“You’re wrong.” Jongup said in a voice that strived to keep calm. Zico stared at him, as if he had just noticed Jongup’s presence. “Muh?” Jongup whipped his head up and glared at him. He stormed over, shoved Zico away from you, and hissed fiercely, “She’s MY girlfriend.”

Your eyes widened, “Oppa!”

“What?!” Zico was outraged, “Don’t even lie-“

“I’m not! The hyungs were just covering up for me! I’m really her boyfriend!” Jongup snapped.

Zico searched his face. He couldn’t tell if Jongup was serious or not. “You’re bullshitting me, right?”

Jongup narrowed his eyes, “Nope. So I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t grab my girlfriend like that. Come on.” He grabbed your hand and dragged you away. You glanced back at a shocked Zico. You slapped a palm over your face *This is a mess!*

Once the two of you were out of his sight, Jongup dropped your hand and his pure, sweet expression was back. “Yeojin, are you all right?”

“Yeah, thanks…but oppa, why did you lie?” You sighed.

“I had to or he wouldn’t let you go. You don’t mind, to you?” Jongup gave you a smile that you couldn’t bear to say no to. “Whatever. Let’s just get home so you can go to the auto shop.” You said.

“Araso, but Yeojin, you have to stay away from that guy. He’s nothing but trouble. If Yongguk hyung finds out you’ve been hanging out with him…” Jongup trailed off.

You quickly grabbed his arm, “Oppa, no! Don’t tell him! He’ll get so mad and do something rash! Do you want him to go to jail?!”

Jongup shook his head, “Of course not. I’ll cover up for you just this once.”

You sighed in relief. “Thanks, oppa.”

“That doesn’t mean I said you can hang out with him.” Jongup lightly chided, “Be careful, Yeojin. If you get caught again, I can’t guarantee that I won’t tell Yongguk hyung. In fact, I might have to…”

“I understand.” You nodded. *Let’s just hope Zico took Jongup oppa’s words seriously and stay away from me if he knows what is good for him.*
