“SONG YEOJIN! YOU HUNG OUT WITH THAT BLONDE FREAK, DIDN’T YOU?!” Yongguk stormed into the living room.

It had been a peaceful evening until he had stampeded into the living room like a wild elephant. Everyone in the room froze. Daehyun’s eyes darted your way. You and Youngjae met eyes.

‘You betrayer! You told him?!’ You mouthed.

Youngjae shook his head with wide eyes, ‘No, I didn’t!’

“ANSWER ME!” Yongguk ordered.

“N-No, I didn’t! Why would I?!” You fibbed.

Yongguk raised an eyebrow, “So I don’t have to reserve a wedding hall?”

You sighed and rolled your eyes, “No, oppa. You don’t have to reserve a wedding hall.”

“Good. Keep it that way.” Yongguk grinned and walked away.

Himchan sat next to you and patted your hand, “Don’t worry. I’ll crash the wedding and whisk you away before you can say ‘I do’.”

“Thanks, oppa. That’s really comforting.” You sarcastically said.

“You know I would do anything for you.” Himchan winked.

Yongguk came back into the room with a can of soda. “So the blonde freak doesn’t follow you around anymore?”

*Of course he does.* You thought. You grew uneasy at the topic of Zico.

Gratefully Zelo said, “I want ice cream.”

You shot up at the chance to get away, “I’ll go buy some!”

“Didn’t you just eat cake thirty minutes ago?” Himchan asked.

“Yeah, but that’s thirty minutes ago.” Zelo blinked.

“Aigoo.” The older boys sighed and shook their heads, “No one can stop the bottomless pit.”

Daehyun watched you grab your wallet and head towards the door. *She’s going alone when it’s dark?* He got up and followed you out the door.

*Whew. I was almost caught by Yongguk oppa. I should be more careful.* You thought. You felt a strange presence behind you and spun around. Daehyun stopped and swiftly looked up at the sky, as if something fascinating was up there. A smile crossed your lips. It was funny and sweet how he tried not to show that he cared.

“Oppa, come here.” You waved him over.

*Darn. Caught.* With low shoulders and hands in his pockets, Daehyun trudged over.

“You came out because you were worried about me, huh?” You asked. He refused to meet your eyes. Your smile widened, “You’re so nice, Daehyun oppa.” His heart fluttered but he put on a scowl.

Daehyun nodded to the street. ‘Hurry up. Go.’

You led the way and he followed alongside you. You stepped into the local market. “Ice cream? Oh! There it is!” You walked over to the ice box. You opened it and peered inside, “Hmm…what should we get?” Daehyun leaned over and looked through the many choices. “I think Zelo would want this one.” You took out a fudge cone. “And this for Jongup oppa.” You pulled out a purple ice cream.

One by one, you chose B.A.P.’s favorite ice creams. “How about you, Daehyun oppa? You like this one?” You took out a walnut ice cream and looked up.

Your head collided with Daehyun’s. “Ow!” You yelped and touched your head. Daehyun rubbed his head while flinching. “

Oppa, mianhae. You okay?” You asked.

Daehyun just blinked at you and held out a pink striped ice cream stick.

“Hey, that’s my favorite.” You pointed out. His eyes softened. *I know.*

The two of you took the ice creams to the counter. You took out your wallet but Daehyun pushed your hand away. He took out his wallet and paid instead. You softened *Daehyun oppa can be so sweet at times.* “Thank you, oppa.” Daehyun took the bag of ice creams and left without a ‘you’re welcome’. but you didn’t mind.

“Wait!” You ran to catch up with him. “Should we eat out ice creams first?” You pulled out the strawberry ice cream and walnut ice cream. “Here.” You popped the walnut ice cream open and handed it to him. Then you opened your ice cream and popped it into your mouth. “Good, huh, oppa?” You asked.

Daehyun didn’t answer. He just stared at his ice cream like it was something he had never seen before.

You rolled your eyes, “Oh come on. Just take off your mask and eat the ice cream before it melts!”

Daehyun just put the ice cream back into the wrapper and put it back in the sack.

You wagged your ice cream at him, “Don’t you ever get tired of wearing the mask all the time? I hardly see you take it off, even when you’re sleeping. Do you still wear it when you shower, too?”

Daehyun gave you a ‘wouldn’t-you-like-to-know’ look. You nibbled on the ice cream then thought aloud, “I just wonder how you live like that. Isn’t it kind of suffocating? I mean, you don’t even talk. The last time I saw you without a mask was in freshman year of high school and the last time I heard you speak was in middle school when those boys wouldn’t stop bullying me.” Daehyun, of course, didn’t step up to explain. You sighed and mumbled, “I just wish you would open up more. I know you well enough, Daehyun oppa. I know your past, your likes, and your dislikes. But it was all through observation. I hope that you could talk to me like Zelo or Jongup oppa does.”

Daehyun softened *She was frustrated as much as I was. I’m sorry, Yeojin. One day I will. Just give me some time.* He took your hand and you looked at him. Daehyun led your ice cream back into your mouth.

You slightly pouted, “Are you telling me to shut up?”

Daehyun just walked faster. *So mysterious.* You thought.
