Forty-Nine

     “At this time?  Isn’t it closed?”  Taecyeon’s manager questions Taecyeon after Taecyeon told him the next destination.  He had found Yuri and Taecyeon after Taecyeon gave him the call of where he had found Yuri.

      Taecyeon buckles himself up, “Nope.  Apparently not tonight.”

     Yuri has already forgotten about the present problem and asks Taecyeon, “Why do you want to go there this late?”

     Taecyeon smiles, “To bring back that smile of yours.”

     “Thank you!”  Yoona and Minho finished having a late dinner together.  The park’s staffs are working late just for them, so instead of buying the food from the amusement park just for them, they also ordered food for everyone working there just for this false date. 

     A man who works in the park stops them and asks for Yoona’s autograph while getting permission from Minho.

     Minho sarcastically answers, “Well, I can’t help that my girl’s too pretty.”  He moves to the sidelines and waits for Yoona to finish signing and taking a picture.  A few seconds later, Yoona and the man bow to one another.

     Minho walks over to Yoona and says, “Ready to continue?”

     Yoona smiles, “Yep!”  She touches her belly, “But, can we walk for a while?   I don’t think going on another ride will be safe since I just ate a good meal.”

     Minho chuckles, “As always.  Sure.”

     Man, why does the place have to be so freaking big!  I can’t find the ferris wheel!  Heck, isn’t that ride supposed to be the most obvious of all?! Why is it so hard to find it!  Jonghyun and Jessica have been walking around the park for almost two hours ever since they’ve arrived.  They haven’t been onto any ride.

     Whenever they passed by a staff that is a fan of Jessica, he doesn’t let them get her autograph and rudely walks away from them.

     “Yah,” he finally says after a long silence, stopping for air, “can you help me find-“ his cell phone rings, so he answers it.  “What do you want?”  he rudely answers the phone because he was annoyed.

    Why is he so angry?  Is it because I’m not fun like Yuri?

     “Yuri ah?  Yah, why are you-”  Jonghyun is surprised.

     Yuri called?  For what?  Jessica becomes worried.

     “I forgot to call, but –...You’re coming now?!  ...Really?”  Jonghyun becomes flustered.

     Why?  Why is she going to come now?  Jessica lets go of her hand from Jonghyun’s and sadly looks away.  I don’t want this!

     “...Almost here!?  Fine, let’s meet up…at the big fountain!...See ya!”  Jonghyun hangs up and inhales with delight.  Now, I can finally start the project!  Oh Kwon Yuri, get ready to enter the straight path!

     Jonghyun looks at Jessica.  He grabs Jessica's hand and gently tugs her to go.  He smiles sweetly as he happily trots to the destination to meet Yuri.   Beautiful Jessica, soon, you’ll be safe again…and I will make you mine!

     Yuri and Taecyeon thank the manager for taking them to Seoul Park and apologized for the inconvenience.

     He gives them an okay signal, “No biggie.  Besides, it’s always better to see smiling faces than depressing ones.”  He smiles, referring to both of them.  “Call me and I’ll get you guys whenever.”  He drives away, leaving the two behind in the front of the park.

     “I guess you have business here, too, since you made that call to Jonghyun.” Taecyeon initiates a conversation as the two enter the park.

     Yuri exhales, “Yeah.  But, apparently, I almost forgot.  Thank you.”

     I guess this is for one of his games.  Should I tell Yuri about the game?  “So, where are you two supposed to meet?”

     “He said something about a big fountain.”  Yuri answers.

     Taecyeon snorts, “Why there?”

     Yuri shrugs, “I don’t know either.”  Another silence draws in.  Yuri looks at the silent Taecyeon.  “You know, you can tell me whatever.  I’ll listen.”

     Taecyeon looks at Yuri, “What do you mean?”

     “I’m pretty sure bringing my smile back isn’t the reason why we’re here, right?  Besides, how did you know it’d be open up this late?”

     Taecyeon deeply exhales.  Is this the part where I’m supposed to tell this girl who has her own worries about my problems?  Besides, why would I talk about relationship problems to a girl whose problems probably aren’t romantic-relationship-related?

     He stops walking and looks up at the sky.  “I guess…I came here to make a final decision.”

     If I see Yoona, I’ll take that as a sign to ask what I want to know and not care about whatever will happen.  But…if I were to not see her at all throughout the time we’re here, I'll give her up…and move on.
