Chapter 4                                                                                                                                                     

 

*Chirp Chirp*

The birds were chirping, you knew it was morning, but for some reason, you felt more comfortable than normal, and didn't want to wake up. You unknowingly cuddled to the source of warmth that was beside you. You were completely unaware of what or 'whom' you were cuddling against. But since you were only half awake, you were pretty much clueless.

You started to noticed that what you were leaning against was a bit hard, and your hand traveled to something that felt really… muscular. You thought something was not right, you don't remember getting a pillow that was hard and had small rectangles on it. Your eyes were still closed, but then you thought back to yesterday.

 

*I was bored.... Myungsoo came.... thunder............... MYUNGSOO!?!?!?* That did it, and your eyes immediately opened. In front of your face, only a few centimeters away from you was none other than Kim Myungsoo.

He looked peaceful and was breathing evenly. Your eyes traveled down, and his arms were protectively wrapped around you, your left hand was resting on his chest. Then you looked further down, and your right hand, it was on his nicely toned and very fine abdomen. You immediately yanked your hand back, and you then noticed the position you were in. You were sitting sideways on his lap, with his whole body acting as a shield to protect you from harm.

 

Then, Myungsoo all of then sudden started to lean it and your eyes traveled to his lips that were coming your way.

 

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

 The used-to-be-peaceful birds that were singing on the trees next to your house all chirped and flew off.

 

*THUD*

 

"OWWW!!!!!" cried Myungsoo.

He was lying flat on the ground; with you still on the couch, glaring at him like a wild animal.

"What the--" he continued as he opened his eyes.

"--Eh?" he looked at his surroundings.

*Where am I?* He thought.

 

Then his gaze traveled to you.

"Ehhh?" then his thought snapped back to last night.

"Ohhhhhhh yeaaaa…" he said as he remembered what happened.

 

'Your ma heart heart heart heart heartbreaker!' your alarm rang.

Then you rushed over to your cellphone that read: 8:00am

 

"AHHHHHHH!!!" you screamed again.

 

Myungsoo rushed to where you were.

"What! Where! When! Why!" he asked as he frantically looked around.

You stared at him wide eyed.

"It's 8 o'clock! We have 20 minutes to get to school!!!!" You rushed upstairs to your room and began to wash up.

*Why is she so worried about going to school…?*

You were already dressed; you quickly tied your hair up, and grabbed your bag. You used your telekinesis power and lifted a piece of toast in the air to your mouth while you were tying your shoe. Myungsoo looked amazed.

"Do that to me too!" he said like a child seeing a brand new set of power ranger toys.

You rolled your eyes, and without looking up from your shoe, you made a bag of bread smack his head from behind.

 

"Oww, that hurts, woman…" he said as he took the bag and munched on a piece of bread.

"We have no time!" you said and rushed outside followed by Myungsoo.

*Please tell me the bus didn’t leave yet…* You silently prayed as continued running.

About eight minutes later, you were both at the front gates of your school. You guys still had a rough 5 minutes before class started. People were staring and murmuring. Fan girls were sending you death glares because you came to school together with Myungsoo. You had no time to deal with slutty little teenage girls, so you just ignored everything as ran up the stairs to your classroom.

You sighed in relief as you made it to class. The bad part was that Myungsoo was there as well. He had the same morning classes as you, you were sure that he manipulated the secretary to give him the same schedule as you. So, in other words; you were stuck with him until lunchtime.

As you sat down in your usual seat, girls started giggling right after Myungsoo entered the door. You sighed in annoyance.

*These people really need to get a life, cause it'll end before you even get him to know your name* you thought.

Myungsoo never paid any attention to the girls. He thinks that they're an annoying nuisance in his school life. That's how he got nicknamed 'The Ice Prince'.

The girls straightened themselves up as Myungsoo walked by, some were even putting on more makeup. But his attention was on one place; you.

He took the seat next to you. Girls started frowning, some even started to cry. But after that, they started to anger up, and they were staring at your every move like an eagle. This happened every single time. No joke, every time class starts, Myungsoo walks in, girls giggle, he sits next to you, girls glare, and then you want to punch him. What a wonderful world.

 

"Look what you did." you muttered with a closed mouth as you pretended to read a book. You weren't looking at Myungsoo so people wouldn't notice you guys talking.

"I can't help it, I’m just that hot." he said, while he also pretended to read a book.

"Quit being so cocky."

"Hey, it's not my fault, I don't control them."

"They're staring at me like I’m some freak"

"Technically you are, 'cause you aren't really human."

"Well, I'm definitely more human than you, at least I'm half human."

"Well, don't ask me to help you when an angry mob of girls try to murder you…” he sang.

You scoffed. "I don't need your help, I can take care of myself."

"Oh really? Then, I'll see how they react after this.”

You were confused. "What are you—"

 

You got cut off, as Myungsoo kissed you on the cheek the moment you turned around. Your eyes widened, and you could literally see the flame that was on top of the girls' heads. You quickly pushed him off and stood up.

"What do you think your doing?!" you screamed.

"What's wrong with kissing my girlfriend?" he asked calmly, but loud enough for all the girls to hear.

All the girls gasped, and some even fainted at the shocking and sad news.

“Girlfriend?!”

“I knew they were dating!”

“All the rumors were true! That bitch seduced him the first day he came!”

“Why would he date HER!? She’s not even pretty!”

 

Your eyes were as wide as saucers, and your jaw dropped.

"What. The. Hell! I'm not your girlfriend!" you shouted.

The teacher came in the moment you were about to curse to his face.

“Park Minyoung, sit down.”

You apologetically bowed and took your seat, while Myungsoo snickered beside you.

*I’m going to get you for this Kim Myungsoo…*

 

During the whole lesson, you were showered with notes that were passed to you by other girls. You ignored them, of course they had no effect on you whatsoever, but you were mad at Myungsoo for what he said, because you would be the head of the gossip line for a loooooooong time.

 

After the dreadful lesson, you ran out of the classroom, and straight to your locker. As expected, Jiyeon was standing there. She perked up the moment she saw you walking down the stairs.

"Minyoung!" she said as you made your way to your locker.

"How could you not tell me!?" she said, as you took your water bottle from your locker.

You were to busy drinking your water to respond.

"How could you not tell me that your dating the Kim Myungsoo?!?!? " she yelled

You spit out your water.

"PFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!" the water splashed everywhere.

Some people started to stare.

 

"What?! Where'd you hear that?!" you asked, still shocked.

"It's all around the school!"

*How did all those rumors go through the school so fast?!?! It’s only been one period!*

 

"I'm your best friend and you didn't even tell me anything?!" said Jiyeon.

"Wait, wait! Jiyeon, I'm NOT dating Kim Myungsoo! I swear!" you said.

It took you a long time to explain to Jiyeon. But it didn't seem like she bought it. Sadly, that was the best you could do for now, you couldn't tell her that you meet Myungsoo to give him blood every other day, and that you were a mythical creature that only existed in story books, so you just said that he was joking around.

The school day was dreadful, and annoying; because you were being threatened everywhere you went. The whole girl population of the school was either jealous or just hated you.

 

After school, Jiyeon's cousins came over, so she had to cancel the mall plans she made with you. You didn't feel very good at all, 1: because all the girls in the school were making a diabolical plan to destroy you, 2: you were very weak and dizzy because you forgot to take a blood pill this morning, you've never missed a day ever, but right now, you were so weak that you could collapse any moment, and 3: you were trying to find Myungsoo, so that you can punch 'talk' to him.

 

You were waking around the school trying to find Myungsoo. You were exhausted and tired.

*Aish! That Kim Myungsoo appears when you don't want him to, but he's never here when you actually need him! * You irritatingly thought, you started to get dizzy.

While you turned a corner, you accidently bumped into someone. You both bowed in apology.

"Sorry." you both said. Your eyes widened when you looked up to the boy in front of you. It was the boy that saved you the last time you were in the Vampire realm. His eyes widened too.

"You—" Zico started but you suddenly fell down on your knees.

"Omo! Are you ok?!" he frantically asked. You were too weak to answer.

He swiftly carried you bridal style and ran to the clinic room. The nurse was no longer present because the school bell already rung half an hour ago. He gently placed you onto one of the beds, and pulled the blanket over you. You were still conscious but very weak; your eyes were bright red.

*Why am I feeling like…oh no…blood lust…* You thought to yourself in fear of hurting someone.

 

He knew what you wanted; blood.

"Minyoung-ssi..." Zico said as he stared at your weak and fragile figure.

Meanwhile, Myungsoo felt something painful in his chest. He was sitting on the branch of a tree in the forest behind the school.

"Something's wrong..." he said

Then the pain hit him again. *Minyoung* he thought and quickly stood up to run to where he sensed your presence at. Even though you guys have only 'half bonded' your scent was very strong. He knew that you were extremely thirsty. It was probably extremely painful for you, especially since you were only a half vampire, you would be weaker than ever.

 

 

Zico didn't know what to do. He stared at you wide eyed. You grabbed a glass of water but it slipped out from your hands. The glass shattered on the ground. Zico glanced at the cup and in a second, the glass was fixed looked like it was brand new. But your finger was bleeding. Zico saw it, he was afraid now.

*Blood…oh no…* Zico thought as he gulped.

Myungsoo smelled blood in the air, your blood. He recognized that scent anywhere.

"Damn," he said through gritted teeth as he reached to the door of the clinic.

*Here!*

 

Zico was tempted and was about to lean in, but Myungsoo bust open the door.

"What do you think your doing?!?!"

 

He saw how weak you were and quickly rushed to your side.

You were breathing really heavily. He didn't have pills with him, but even pills wouldn't be able to help you out right now in this situation.

Zico exited the room, giving you two some privacy. *What were you thinking Woo Jiho!? You almost drank her blood!*  he mentally scolded himself.

 

Inside, Myungsoo brushed your hair out of your face. He put his arms around you in a hug, and whispered to you.

"Minyoung, drink from me. You need it." he whispered to your ear, his voice was serious but sincere.

 

You refused to, you didn't want to, but in your heart, it was what you were craving.

 

Your eyes were turning redder at every second that passed. Myungsoo purposely tilted his head to reveal his neck. You started to lean in; you tilted your head a bit, and opened your mouth, revealing your clean fangs that you've always kept hidden.

You slowly started to lean in to his neck; his scent filled your nostrils, all you could think about was him and his blood now. This was the first time something like this happened, you never or rarely had any craving for blood, but now, you needed it… you wanted it.

Without hesitation, you sunk your fangs in, and Myungsoo let out a groan. He let his head fall back, in pleasure. His eyes were also red from the contact. He was definitely enjoying it a lot. His taste showered your mouth senseless. You never imagined it to be so appetizing. It was 100x better than the dry metal taste that the pills produced. His blood was sweet, and luscious.

Your placed your hands on his shoulders, you clutched onto his shirt so hard, you think you scratched his skin, but Myungsoo was clutching onto your back with just as much force as you.

 

Zico was outside, watching the moment. His stomach ached. He walked away from the scene quietly.

He sighed.

*Did you seriously think you had a chance with her? Stupid…* He silently thought and disappeared.
