“Yah, Yeri, how many times are you going to replay? We’ve watched this part four times already! I want to see the rest of the episode too!” Joy complained. 

“Okay okay...just one more time and then I’ll stop.” Yeri responded giggling

“Kim Yerim!” 

“Ah~ cut her some slack, she just wants to see her Kookie dancing to russian roulette.” Seulgi stated as she poked Yeri’s cheeks playfully.

Yeri was quick to slap the hand away from her face and retort albeit while blushing.

“What are you even talking about...I just really respect Bangtan sunbaenim and their music, so it’s cool to see them enjoying our song, and dancing well. That’s all.” 

“More like LOVE Bangtan, you’re always watching their “Bangtan Bombs” and fancams of their performances in our room late at night! Sometimes it’s even hard to sleep you know.” Joy responded. To this, Seulgi and Wendy looked over to Yeri, surprised in light of this new information. 

“Wah, really Yeri? I guess you really are an ARMY. And I guess it’s obvious now that Jungkookie is your bias.” said Wendy.

“Aww the two maknaes, cute~” teased Joy. Yeri suddenly stood up annoyed

“Unnie! Why did you tell them about that!”

“Oh c’mon Yeri, it wasn’t a secret to begin with, we know you well enough that now that I think about it, it feels obvious at this point. ” Joy responded. 

“Your face is bright red!” Seulgi said giggling and pointing to bring the other members attention to Yeri.

“I hope you know the only reason I’m the only one getting teased is because your mochi Jimin hasn’t had much screen time.” Yeri said in an attempt to embarrass Seulgi instead. 

“Of course, that’s why we have to keep watching!” Seulgi said not letting Yeri have the small victory.

“Aish, so annoying! Why don’t you deny it!” Yeri pouted

“Why don’t you accept that you love Jungkookie! It’s not that hard!” 

Yeri was getting redder and redder every second before responding. “I mean, he’s really handsome that’s for sure, nobody can deny that, and he has a really nice voice too. He’s funny, and good at sports and-- Ugh! I’m going to go get something to eat” Yeri said in response to the three knowing faces smirking back at her. Before she could get up however, Irene walked into the room and blocked her. 

“What’s going on here? I heard some yelling.” asked Irene. “What are you guys doing? Everything okay?”

All of the Red Velvet members besides Irene who was cooking were currently resting and watching the latest episode of MBC’s Star Show 360 together, which happened to feature BTS as a guest. During one of their segments, “Boys with Fun” Jungkook and J-Hope were asked to dance to girl group songs. Coincidentally, Russian Roulette was played, and Yeri couldn’t stop smiling knowing that BTS really enjoys their music and performances. In all honesty, all the Red Velvet members were big fans, but Yeri being the maknae made for some mandatory teasing. 

Yeri quickly walked back to her spot and sat down seeing as Irene brought food with her. Irene quickly glanced at what they were watching and what frame the video was paused on and understood immediately. 

“Ah, Jeon Jungkook. Looking handsome as always.” Irene said while smirking.

“Unnie, not you too…” Yeri sulked. “Fine I admit it, but it’s just a small crush all right? Like I said before, he’s handsome, sings well, dances well, athletic. But anything more than that is impossible for me, especially because it’s a BTS member. Do you guys even know how popular they are nowadays? Maybe if it was during HYYH I might have been able to talk to him but now even making eye contact will result in a flood of hate messages after someone catches it on camera. Even if I wanted to date I couldn’t, I can’t even become friends with them at this rate probably…” At the tone of her voice the other members faces softened as they rubbed her back. She was still the maknae. The other members remembered how hard they all had to work and how much they had to give up in order to get where they are today.

“Mianhae, Yeri, maybe the teasing was too much.” 

“Yeah we’re sorry Yeri.”

“Ahh~ Don’t make me feel awkward! It’s not that big of a deal I know you guys are just messing with me! Just forget about it and let’s finish the episode.” Yeri grinned and got comfy again to get ready to continue watching

“Okay then, if that’s the case wanna tell me why you decided to pause at this specific part?” Yeri turned to look at the screen and saw that the video was paused on...Jungkook’s crotch. 

“Aish! You know I didn’t mean it!” Yeri exclaimed while laughing. 

“Alright alright we don’t have all day let’s continue” The rest of the episode was extremely enjoyable. There were some very funny moments with all the members, especially with Sohye, as well as some very heartfelt words from Jungkook himself. 

“I’m okay with things like packed schedule, seeing hyungs having a hard time mentally is the hardest...I’m the type of person who’s not very good at talking, and there’s nothing I can do to help. It was hard to say so I think that’s why I brought it up then.”

“...I came here at 15, so you could say that my hyungs raised me up until now. I’m thankful that they were good to me…”

‘He reminds me of myself really….’ Yeri thought as she watched the video intensely. The other members kept Yeri in their thoughts as well as they heard the maknae speak. Yeri was even younger than Jungkook. It must have been tough. 

Throughout the rest of the episode Yeri kept Jungkook’s words in her mind. 

‘This is makes me want to befriend him more...maybe one day the opportunity will present itself…’
