It was nearly 3 AM when Daehwi decided that he couldn't try to sleep any longer. He got up from his bed, made up the duvet and wore his slippers. He slipped on a woolen sweater that was at least two size bigger on his body before he opened the door. He peeked on the lump of blanket on the bed across his own, where Jinyoung was asleep. There was a mixed feeling of being in the same room with a person who supposed to be your forever and always. Daehwi sighed and closed the door quietly, unaware of Jinyoung who opened his eyes, staring at the darkness.

The small singer headed downstairs, might as well use the kitchen to make something before his schedule at 6. He tiptoed on the stairs, afraid that the slightest sound he made would wake the others. It was half the way on the stairs that he realized that there were Hwang PD and his staffs on the living room, with papers spread on the coffee table. They talked in hush tones, as if trying to keep the quiet night ambiance. 

One of the staffs realized Daehwi's presence and bowed to him. Daehwi gave his bows and greeted Hwang PD and his staffs.

"Are you okay? Do you need something?" Hwang PD asked him, his face etched with worry.

Daehwi quickly shaked his head, "I'm alright, I just can't sleep..?" The last word came out as a question unintentionally so Daehwi put a sheepish smile. Hwang PD heaved a relief sigh, had known beforehand that this one certain cast was a special one for never been in a reality show despite had debuted 2 years ago. This was one of Hwang PD goals in this show; to make Daehwi comfortable because everybody set their expectation high for this show.

"Do you want some tea? I could make you some, it helps to relax", one of the staffs, Daehwi believed his name was Hyungseob (he was a really cheerful one, kind of difficult to forget).

Daehwi stared down and shook his head, "No, thank you. I.. Probably, I was too nervous to adjust to the new environment. So, I couldn't sleep. But it's okay!"

Hwang PD and the rest of the staffs stared at Daehwi encouragingly, waiting for him to continue.

"I have a schedule at six, so I thought about making something to snack on for the day." Daehwi admitted shyly.

"You can cook?" Hyeongseob asked. He didn't even bother to conceal his surprise so his voice came out a little louder than intended, the rest of the staffs shushed him.

The brunette singer nodded, "I'm not that great of a cook.. But I've taken a liking into cooking and baking lately."

The spectators on the living room let out an "Ah.." sound out of amazement. At the same time, several staffs entered the house with a hush whisper of "good morning". They brought their camera and other equipment.

Daehwi bowed politely to them as they did the same, albeit a little bit in shock because they didn't expect one of the casts to be awake in this hour.

"Daehwi, please use the kitchen as you like. We want you to be comfortable in this show." Hwang PD told the singer as the rest of the newcoming staffs took their position around the living room, getting the filming and their equipment ready.

The said boy nodded with a smile. He was about to turn left to the kitchen when he decided to stop on his track and asked in a small voice, "Do you, um, know how many staffs would be here today?"

Hwang PD looked around his staffs and counted, "Probably around 15, two will come later around 5 to follow you and Taehyun during the day. Is it okay?"

Daehwi nodded, "Yeah, no problem. I am going to be in the kitchen." Hwang PD and his staffs nodded.

One of the cameramen followed Daehwi to the kitchen with his camera on. The kitchen itself was loaded with camera in a several spots; on the upper side of the left wall, just above the cabinets, one on the corner of the kitchen countertop, one even inside the refrigerator. The cameraman set the filming around the kitchen opening, as there was no door.

Daehwi stared at the camera on the right side of the sink as he washed his hands, "Good morning". He smiled to the camera and later on the editing crew would put a CG of flowers around his face and the softer lighting effect on this scene.

The small brunette paced around the kitchen with ease, taking out ingredients from refrigerator, ones that Donghyun helped him to store in last night. Bananas, flour, sugar, eggs, butter, oatmeal, and other stuffs were being laid on dinner table.

"What are you going to make, Daehwi-ssi?" the cameraman asked so suddenly that Daehwi startled a little bit. The editing crew put a giggle sound as the effect.

"I'm going to make banana bread and muffin. It's perfect for breakfast and as a snack. Do you, um, do you like banana bread?" Daehwi asked in return and the cameraman didn't expect this because usually the cast didn't talk with their cameraman. The said man only nodded while giving a thumbs up. The singer smile brightly that positively would make the viewers swoon.

"I'm glad, I hope the other staffs, and oh, and Hwang PD would like it. I'm thinking about making some for the hardworking staffs and other hyungs too." Cue for the clapping sound effect.

"A fairy has come to bless us with homemade breakfast!" The editing crew put on the frame.

Daehwi the oven to pre-heat it and started to peel the bananas. Then he took out the baking pan from the box on the corner of the kitchen opening. The camera followed his every movement.

"Donghyun-hyung helped me to pack several items I would need for cooking and baking. I didn't know what we have here in the kitchen so I brought mine." He set 2 loaf pan and 2 muffin pans on the dinner table.

"I'm going to try to be as quite as possible; wouldn't want the hyungs to be awake, right?" He said to no one in particular, the camera recorded every words and actions.

Soon enough, Daehwi smashed the banana, mixed it with flour and sugar.

"I like to have my banana bread with a little bit of oatmeal, exact 2 tablespoon in one pan. Not everybody like it that way, but in the house, oh! I live with Donghyun-hyung, Youngmin-hyung, and Woojin-hyung, um, yeah, we like it that way. Sometimes I put choco chips too."

He then turned around and stared at the cameraman, "Ahjussi, do you like choco chips on banana bread?"

The cameraman gave him a thumbs up.

"as expected, our resident fairy is very considerate.."

The editing crew was really smitten with Daehwi, and it wasn’t even 24 hours he was in the show yet.

"Alright, dough is ready. This is for the banana bread, and this one for muffins. I think this will be enough for 2 batch of muffin..?" Daehwi frowned a bit. He started to pour the dough for two medium-sized loaf pans. He then sprinkled one of the pan with choco chips and snacked on the leftover choco chips.

Taking out a pack of muffin papers for the box, the star of the kitchen started to set the said papers on muffin pan. With tablespoon, he poured the muffin dough to their respective paper. He even sprinkled choco chips on several dough, and shredded cheese on others. Opening the pre-heated oven, Daehwi put the loaf pans on the top rack and the muffin pans on the bottom rack. He set the timer and sat on the chair.

"It's 3.40 in the morning. I have a song I always listen to whenever I can't sleep, it's called 3 AM." Daehwi played the song on lower volume and hummed along.

While waiting for the bread and muffin, the small singer tidied up the mess he made; threw away the trash and wiped the kitchen counter and dinner table. He also unboxed the boxes he brought onto the kitchen, which were filled with several kitchen sets and groceries. Daehwi put the items in the cabinets and kitchen drawers.

Soon enough, it was 20 minutes to 5 AM. The sky was changing from dark blue of dawn to the light blue, hinting the morning had come. The banana bread and muffins were all ready. The camera shot the delicious breakfast prettily and the editing crew added a sparkling effect on the frame. Daehwi ended up making 2 loafs of banana bread and 30 muffins. He was in the middle of cutting the bread when Taehyun made an appearance on the kitchen.

"Good morning, Sunshine." Taehyun greeted Daehwi. The editing crew were having a field day, adding an "aww" sound effect to the scene, plus extra slow-motion as the scene changed from Taehyun to Daehwi.

Daehwi visibly blushed, "Good morning, hyung. You're all ready.."

Taehyun was in a casual attire; he wore a shirt with sweater and khaki pants. He even styled his hair a little bit.

"Yup, wouldn't want our lovely Daehwi to be late to his schedule, would we?" He even had the nerve to wink and the said lovely boy ducked his head shyly.

"Smell amazing here, I didn't know you can bake!"

The brunette just bowed politely and a small "thank you" left his lips.

"Do you want banana bread for breakfast?" He asked shyly. Taehyun nodded excitedly as he made his way towards the coffee maker.

Daehwi cut the banana bread and set it on a plate for Taehyun. He also packed several muffins on two plastic containers, while the rest were placed on a big platter.

Taehyun took a seat on one of the chair with a cup of coffee on his hand, "Amazing, it's been so long that I had homemade breakfast. To top it all, it's banana bread, made by a really famous idol singer." To add for more dramatic effect, Taehyun shook his head in disbelief.

The said famous idol singer just shook in head in denial. He was clearly embarrassed by Taehyun's words. Daehwi was really shy around new people.

"I'm going to take a shower real quick. I hope, um, you like the bread.." Daehwi said in a small voice then he dashed upstairs to his room.

In the kitchen, the scene showed Taehyun was in the middle of savoring his breakfast. He made it clear that he really enjoyed the bread.

"What do you think of it, Taehyun-ssi?" One of the filming staffs asked Taehyun.

Taehyun stared at the camera, visibly more experienced in having camera around, "It's really good. Like really, really good. I'm not even exaggerating." He chewed the bread and then continue, "Daehwi is something, you know? It's his first day here and I doubt that he even had a good sleep. It was clear that he was not as comfortable as the others when he first came here. So I'm quite surprised that he made breakfast. I'm sure all of these muffins were enough for all the staffs too."

"Taehyun enjoys his special breakfast.."

"Meanwhile, what other 'mates' up to?"

The scene showed several rooms at once. In the first room, the light was still out and its occupant, Yoon Ji Sung, a really famous presenter and comedian was still asleep. The second room showed Kang Daniel and Ong Sungwoo just woke up; Daniel sat blankly on his bed while Sungwoo played with his phone while laying down still on his bed, the light from his phone illuminate his sleepy face. In the third room, Jaehwan was still asleep and the bed across him was empty since Taehyun, its owner, was having a breakfast downstairs. And in the last room, it showed that the light was still out, the bed on the left side of the room was still occupied by Bae Jinyoung, a well-known actor and model even though he was only 21 years old. He slept facing the wall, his whole body covered by thick duvet. 

The scene zoomed in to Daehwi who just came out from the bathroom. He was all dressed-up for the day. He walked quietly towards his desk, grabbed his bag and his coat that he had prepared beforehand.

"Where is our lovely Daehwi going today?"

Back to Taehyun in the kitchen, it seemed that he was done with breakfast. He put his plate and cup in the sink, rinsed it with water, then placed it inside the dishwasher.

"I promised to drive Daehwi to his schedule today; he has to go to the recording studio. I was planning to go to the morning market anyway, get some fresh meat and seafood, then head to the dance studio. Since we're going to the same way, I guess why not going together?" Taehyun said to the camera.

The clock showed 5.12 AM when Daehwi stepped downstairs. He headed to the kitchen to continue packing the banana bread and muffins.

"Hey, you’re done. You are quick." Taehyun greeted him. Daehwi bowed politely.

"Is Jinyoung awake?"

Daehwi stopped in his track for the unexpected question, "Not yet..," he answered slowly.

"He supposed to go with us this morning. He said he wanted to see the fresh market. Aish, that kid." Taehyun made a move to go out from the kitchen, probably to head upstairs and woke Jinyoung up. But then, he stopped and turned his body to face Daehwi, "And you, Daehwi-yah, you need to loose up, okay? Be comfortable around us, wouldn't want you to hurt your back for bowing too much, hmm?" As a cherry on top, he ruffled Daehwi's hair then left.

"Is love going to bloom between these 'mates'?"

"But!"

"Wait a minute! What is actually happening here?"

"What are these famous celebrity doing in this house?"

Thank you everyone who showed support for this story (and Wanna One + MXM). I have a sad story to tell you. My laptop just got repaired and I thought everything would be good. I usually wrote stories on my OneNote and when re-installed it, logged into my account, I found out that this story's tab is gone. I regret not saving it into word or pdf file because I haven't found a way to recover it as for now (it was worth of 30+ pages). I'm really devastated and sad because I'm going to re-write everything (it took me nearly 2 weeks to write the first chapter that had lost!). I'm sorry but the subscribers need to wait a little bit longer as I re-write this story.. I might put this story into draft. I'm so sorry T^T
