Chapter 4

Shinhye's smiling eyes quickly resembled an owl's eyes just as she heard his voice. She panicked, and looked at her cellphone. She muttered under her breath, "Aish!" She put her phone down very slowly, and walked backwards, watching the phone very closely.

On the other line, a big ol' smirk was planted on his face. He was jumping for joy inside, smiling from cheek-to-cheek.

Shinhye's back pressed against the door, still shocked. She was sure that Uee's speed dial was number 5. "When have I ever put Yonghwa on my speed dia-.. Ah, Uee did it!" She thought to herself, frowning. She took a few steps closer to her phone, picking it up carefully. She bit her lip, and hit her head; dissapointed in herself. She pouted, and lowered her voice. "Ne, this is Soomin's Noodles. How can I help you?" Failing at disguising her voice, she pursed her lips, waiting for his response.

Yonghwa smiled mischievously, but didn't want to make her any more embaressed that she was. "Ah, ne, annyeonghaseyo. Can I have Japanese Ramen?" He said, a smile growing on his face. He wondered how long she would keep the "noodles" excuse.

"Eh?!" She exclaimed, in her normal high pitch voice. She gulped, and lowered her voice again. "Ja-Japanese Ramen? Go to Japan.."

"Ah, ne, sorry." He chuckled, and all his stress about worrying about Shinhye was gone. She did worry about the photo, but she was developing feelings for him! Well, almost developing.

Shinhye spoke in a high pitch voice, hoping he didn't know it was her, although it was quite obvious. "I'm sorry, your call has disconnected. Please don't try again. Goodbye!"


The following day, Yonghwa rode his bicycle to school, holding his head up high. "Ah, she finds me cute. Right? The way she described me.. I could be her knight in shining armor. Shinhye walked to school, with her head hanging low. Although her long flowery patterened skirt complimented her body, she felt nothing but embaressment. Uee walked along beside her, and pouted in sympathy. "You mean, you accidently called him and suddenly said all that?!" Shinhye nodded, "Ne.." Uee giggled a little, but felt a little bad since she was the one who put Yonghwa in her contacts, and putting him on one of the speed dial's. She looked over at Shinhye, and bowed slightly. "Mianhe." Shinhye pouted, and hit her on the back softly. "Uee! Otoke?!"

Yonghwa passed them, not noticing since he was so caught up in reminicing from yesterday's phonecall. He did a double take, and his eyes were on Shinhye. He backed up, and stopped next to them. "Helloooo, girlfriend~" He cooed, smiling. She bit her lip, and looked up at him, then quickly looked down at the sidewalk; avoiding his eyes. "What's wrong? Am I not gazing into your eyes like before?" She muttered under her breath, "Aish.."

He smiled at her shyness all of a sudden, and patted the back little section on his bike. "Want a ride?" Her eyes trailed across his body, then to the seat. She smiled at the thought, but shook her head. "A-Anni. I'm okay walking." "But, aren't you tired from delivering noodles?" Her eyes widened, and she started to walk away, pouting at Uee. Yonghwa stepped off his bike, and ran with his bike to her. He picked her up gently, and placed her on the bike. She screamed softly, and looked into his eyes. "Ya!" He grinned, and glanced at Uee. "Sorry, I'll be stealing her." He winked to Shinhye, and got onto his bike. He rode all the way to school as she held onto him tightly.

Seohyun was waiting for Yonghwa in front of the school with some coffee, her bright smile on her face made her look even more attractive. Yonghwa was laughing at Shinhye, because he knew she was still embaressed.. But, she was holding onto him, and their bodies were close. He stopped right in front of Seohyun, and looked up at her. "Annyeong." He turned to Shinhye, and smirked. "Your arms aren't that bad, either." He unfolded her hands that were around his stomach, caressing them before letting them go. Shinhye smiled and pouted at the same time, still feeling so embaressed. She looked up at Seohyun, and forced a smile. "Annyeong Unnie." However, she didn't get a smile back from Seohyun.

Seohyun's eyes were wide, tears forming. She had thought that their one incident with the branch was enough for him to develop feelings. But, here he was acting lovely dovey with Shinhye. She pouted, and threw the coffee at Yonghwa, running away.

Shinhye's caring self immediately took the handkerchief from her bag, and wiped his shirt. "Seohyun-ah!" She looked back to her running, and sighed. "What was that about?" Yonghwa sighed, "She likes me." "Eh?! Unnie likes you?" She continued wiping, and gave him the handkerchief. "You should go to the store around the corner and get a plain white shirt.. Your button up is really stained." He nodded, and grinned. "Will you come with me?"

They walked around the store, looking for clothes. "Yonghwa-ya! Here's a white shirt." Yonghwa smiled, and started unbuttoning his shirt. Her eyes widened, she quickly turned around. "What are you doing?!" He looked at her, and furrowed his eyebrows. "Taking my shirt off.." She shook her head fast, "Don't do it in front of me!" "Ne, ne, Shinhye. You can turn around now." She turned around, her face started to burn up. "Ya! Why.. Are.." He smirked, and grabbed the t-shirt from her. He quickly put it on, feeling great about his body; since Shinhye blushed. He walked up to the register, "I'll be buying this shirt I'm wearing. My shirt got stained with coffee." He quickly paid, and took his change. The employee shouted out to them as they left, "Cute couple!"

As they arrived back at school, Jonghyun sat on the bench, waiting sadly. "Jonghyun-ah! Mianhe.. I was with Yonghwa because someone threw coffee at him.. Mianhe.." She pouted, feeling immensly terrible. Yonghwa stepped in, and patted him on the back. "Mianhe, I didn't mean to mess your date up with my girlfriend." Jonghyun stood up, and hugged Shinhye. "It's okay, just treat me to coffee tomorrow, okay?" She smiled, and nodded. "She can't tomorrow." "Eh?" Jonghyun tilted his head, confused. "Shinhye and I are going to an amusement park." "Eh?" Shinhye tilted her head, confused. "You guys look like confused puppies, let's go." Yonghwa led her to their first period, and Shinhye mouthed to Jonghyun as she was being dragged, "Mianhe, again."
