Daehwi has been in denial about his hearing loss ever since being released from the hospital. He's vehemently against his older brother placing him in a high school for the hearing impaired, but he's not the one making the decision. He's even more against making any friends because he refuses to accept that he may one day be completely deaf and there's nothing he can do about it. He's intent on clinging to his false hope that his hearing will slowly start to return; then Park Woojin bounds into his life and he's not sure what to do with him.
