L. Joe ran into the vacant, shadowy parking lot. “SAEROM! LEE SAEROM! WHERE ARE YOU?!” He went deeper inside and finally found you.

You were tied up on a chair with a piece of tape over your mouth.

“Saerom!” L. Joe shouted in relief.

Your head jolted up and your eyes widened. He started running. You fervently shook your head and screamed through the tape but he kept coming towards you. *Why does she keep shaking her head-*

At that precise moment, he heard footsteps stampeding towards him.

L. Joe froze. At once, he was ambushed.

L. Joe cautiously looked around. He recognized a few of them from the club. They were Mr. Chae’s goons.

*Of course.* L. Joe thought.

Mr. Chae appeared from the crowd. A dark grin formed on his face, “Ah, L. Joe, you newbie. How could you be so foolish to come here alone?”

“You told me to come alone.” He whispered.

Mr. Chae laughed. He was having too much fun. “So you really listen to me. Tell me. If I tell you to die here, would you? Fool.” He shook his head while laughing some more.

L. Joe clenched his fist. “Let her go. She did nothing.”

“Does it matter? Did Hana do something to me? No, but Changjo betrayed me and so did you!” Mr. Chae’s smile faded. His eyes grew cloudy with revenge. “I intend to give you the same pain for selling me out.” He stepped towards you.

“NO! DON’T TOUCH HER!” L. Joe lunged towards him. At once, he was attacked.

You screamed and struggled *OPPA, NO!*

*Fuck this. I won’t just stand by and let us both get killed. One way or another, I’ll get us out of here. If I don’t make it, at least Saerom will.* L. Joe got off the ground and started to fight back. You watched him with horrified eyes filled with tears. You never knew L. Joe knew how to fight. He was skilled and fast but the size of those men worried you. L. Joe kicked one man in the chest. While he doubled over, L. Joe used him to jump and kick another man in the face.

Bit by bit, Mr. Chae’s smile disappeared when he realized he was near defeat. *How the hell can he defeat my men like this? I never knew he was a fighter!* Mr. Chae glared at his men, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GET THAT BOY!” They rushed towards L. Joe.

L. Joe spun around. He dodged a punch and socked another man in the face. L. Joe was hit squarely in the jaw once, making you squeal underneath the tape. The man raised his fist to hit again but L. Joe blocked it this time and gave him a hook under the jaw. He spun around and retaliated with a spin-kick in the face.

The men on the floor started to get up. They grabbed metal bats from the wall and walked towards him.

L. Joe was breathing hard. Sweat was running down his forehead and he wiped the blood from his lips. *Crap. I’m losing energy. I won’t be able to do this for long.* In the corner of his eye, he spotted you. His eyes shifted your way.

A tear fell down your cheek, wrenching his heart. *Mianhae, oppa. It’s all my fault.*

L. Joe gave you a small, weak smile. You shut your eyes and cried even more. *Till the end, he’ll do his best for me.*

“GAH!” The men raced towards him. L. Joe attempted to defend himself but he was outnumbered. On top of that, they had weapons and he didn’t. L. Joe grunted in pain as a bat thwacked his back. He landed on his knees on the ground. A sickening crunch from his ribs told him that they were broken. You twisted and struggled while hysterically crying *PLEASE DON’T DO THIS TO HIM ANYMORE! YOU MIGHT KILL HIM! I’M BEGGING YOU! STOP IT ALREADY!*

“SHUT UP!” Mr. Chae grew annoyed and slapped you in the face.

“DON’T!” L. Joe snarled fiercely. Mr. Chae looked at him. L. Joe struggled to sit up. He spat blood on the ground and viciously glared up at Mr. Chae. “Don’t. Lay. Another. Hand. On. Her. Or. Ill. Kill. You.” Every word was full of hatred and murder.

Mr. Chae laughed, “And exactly how do you plan on doing that? You’re down there and I’m up here. You’re outnumbered. At my call, my men could kill you in a second. Or do you want to see your girlfriend go first?”

L. Joe gritted his teeth *I hate that man. I should have never worked for him in the first place.*

“All right. Girlfriend first.” Mr. Chae walked towards you.

“NO!” L. Joe protested. He scrambled up but the men held him down. “LET GO OF ME! DON’T TOUCH HER! I SWEAR! YOU HURT HER AND I’LL MURDER YOU!” His voice cracked in anger.

Mr. Chae grabbed your hair and you flinched at the pain. He pulled out a knife from his pocket and put it against your throat. A tear ran down your face. *So I end up dying, too? At least I get to be with my family again. Mom. Dad. Sungyeol oppa.* You heard L. Joe’s cries, cursing, and pleas. Your eyes slowly drifted over to him. Tears were running down his face and he was struggling madly against the men.

“LET HER GO! DON’T YOU EVER TOUCH HER! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, YOU’RE DEAD!”

Mr. Chae laughed mercilessly, “Say goodbye to your beloved Saerom.”

Your eyes closed *Goodbye, Byunghun oppa.*

VROOM VROOM.

*What the?* At the voracious noise, Mr. Chae was temporarily distracted. The men turned around and L. Joe looked back. You opened your eyes *That’s the sound of motorcycles.*

Six motorcycles entered the parking lot. One of them you remotely recognized.

The green and black motorcycle skidded to a stop and the rider pulled his helmet off.

He had an orange and black mask over his mouth and nose but his eyes were mysterious and mischievous.

You squinted *Those eyes…I know them.*

“WHO ARE YOU?!” Mr. Chae demanded.

The male tilted his head in a rebellious manner. Then he pulled his mask down.

Your eyes widened in shock. L. Joe furrowed his eyebrows *What the hell-*

“Me? I’m Zelo, maknae of BAP.” He smirked.
