The next day, you announced to your parents that L. Joe needed new clothes and begged them to take you both shopping. Your dad had to work but your mom was free and agreed to acompany you two to Dongdaemun Mall.

L. Joe didn’t want to go but was forced to by you. (You had to lay down on the floor of his room and throw a tantrum.)

Your eyes widened in fascination. The mall never failed to amaze you. “Oppa, look at that! Isn’t it so pretty! Or that! Omo! It just came out! And I bet that would look so cool on you!” You pointed wildly about.

L. Joe yawned and carelessly walked a foot away from you. Some girls passed by and giggled at his handsomeness. L. Joe didn’t pay any heed to them and stayed in his own little bubble

. Suddenly he was yanked away by you. “What the hell-“ He snarled but didn’t get the chance to finish swearing as you piled clothes into his arms. *What the freak is going on?!* His eyes widened as the pile grew bigger.

“I think this would look good on you, too, Byunghun.” Mrs. Lee held out a black jacket.

You eagerly beamed, “I think so, too!” You added it to the pile.

Mrs. Lee looked at a few more shirts and added to the growing pile as well.

L. Joe thought his arms were going to break.

Mrs. Lee wrapped a scarf around his neck and smiled as she patted it. “It goes well with you.” L. Joe felt her gaze at him with motherly eyes and it made him slightly uncomfortable. “Go try it on.” She nodded encouragingly.

“This way!” You hauled him off and shoved him into the room. “Hey!” L. Joe yelled. “Wear the outfits and come out so we can judge them!” You giggled, waved and shut the door.

Mrs. Lee longingly looked at more boys’ clothes with a tender smile. *It’s been a while since I went shopping for boy clothes. It feels good to shop for a son again.*

You knocked, “Oppa, are you done? Come out! Oppa-“

The door burst open and L. Joe edgily glared at you. You gasped and clapped with shining eyes, “Mom, look!”

Mrs. Lee walked over and approvingly nodded, “They seem to fit well.”

“Try on the others!” You pushed L. Joe back in. The door shut and he blew on his bangs irritably. *Damn, she looks weak as a fly but she’s so forceful!*

You and Mrs. Lee complimented every outfit that he wore. In the end, Mrs. Lee ended up buying all of them. “Here, oppa! Your clothes!” You held the bags out with a bright smile. L. Joe warily took them.

“Don’t hold back and wear them all. We can always go shopping again.” Mrs. Lee said. You clapped, “More shopping!”

L. Joe rolled his eyes *Great.*

The three of you went to the 3^rdfloor, where it was a shop for girls. Bored as hell, L. Joe waited by the mannequins as you tried on clothes. You came out in a sky blue sweater and white pleated skirt. “How is it?” Mrs. Lee beamed and nodded as she smoothed the collar, “Pretty~”

L. Joe looked up and slightly straightened up. His gaze went up and down your figure. *She looks…cute. Wait. What the hell am I saying? Shit. All this shopping screwed up my head.* He scowled immediately.

You looked at him and brightened. You ran over to him and twirled around, “How do I look?!”

L. Joe scowled deeply and looked away, “Whatever.”

You smiled and went back to Mrs. Lee. She paid for the clothes and the three of you were on your way again.

You saw a frappe ice cream shop and pointed, “My favorite!” Mrs. Lee bought the ice cream cones: coffee for her, strawberry for L. Joe, and green tea for you.

“Yum, huh, oppa?!” You beamed and licked the cream off your lips.

L. Joe’s ears turned red for some reason and he quickly looked away.

You held out your cone, “Want to try? Green tea is good, too!”

“No.” L. Joe coldly replied.

“Can I try yours? Strawberry is one of my favorites, too.” You said.

The thought of you licking his cone made him stiffen, not particularly out of disgust though. L. Joe walked faster. “Wait up!” You ran to catch up with him.

L. Joe stopped by a jewelry shop. He peered into the glass out of curiosity. You jumped up from behind and slung your arm around his neck, “Do you see anything you like?! You don’t seem like the jewelry type of person to me though…”

L. Joe shrugged your arm off with an annoyed glare. Unfazed, you continued to look at the jewelry.

You, L. Joe, and Mrs. Lee continued to look through the mall. You ended up running into a couple of your mom’s friends. They laughed and greeted each other. “Oh, who is that? Your daughter’s boyfriend?” They giggled.

L. Joe heard that and his ears turned red again.

“Oh no.” Mrs. Lee shook her head, “Remember I told you I was going to adopt a new son?”

“Oh! That’s him?!” They asked, wide-eyed. She smiled and nodded.

“He’s good-looking! I’m surprised Saerom hasn’t fallen for him yet!” They laughed.

L. Joe glanced at you to see if any of this conversation was bothering you. You just licked the last of your ice cream cone.

“It’s not like that.” Mrs. Lee lightly shook her head.

“Are you busy? We’re going to the café at the rooftop. Come with us!” Her friends said.

“Araso. Hold on. Let me tell my children.” Mrs. Lee went up to you, “I’m going to join my friends for coffee so why don’t the two of you go home, first?”

“Nae~” You beamed, “Have a good time, mom!”

Mrs. Lee smiled, waved, and left with her friends.

“Let’s go, oppa!” You hugged L. Joe’s arm and dragged him away. He rolled his eyes with an exasperated sigh *Not again!*
