The doorbell rang and Sungyeol answered it.

“Hey!” His best friends Woohyun and Hoya smiled and waved. “Ready to shoot some hoops?” Hoya tossed an imaginary basketball in the air.

“Yep.” Sungyeol put on his sneakers and grabbed the basketball. “Saerom, come on!”

“Coming!” You called from upstairs. A minute later you came running downstairs.

“Hello Saerom~” Hoya and Woohyun waved. “You look cute today.” Hoya smiled.

“You hitting on my sister?” Sungyeol raised an eyebrow. Hoya put his hands up, “I don’t even dare.”

Mrs. Lee came out of the kitchen, “Aigoo, are you taking Saerom again?”

“When do I not take her?” Sungyeol looked confused.

Mrs. Lee clucked her tongue, “Saerom, you should stay home. The oppas won’t be able to play comfortably because of you.”

You pouted, “But I want to go…” “Ahjumma, it’s okay. We really don’t mind.” Woohyun assured.

Sungyeol slung an arm around you, “Mom, waegulae? I said I’m okay. Wherever Lee Sungyeol goes, Lee Saerom goes also. Let's go.” He left. You waved, “Bye mom!” “Be safe!” She waved.

Mrs. Lee shook her head with a smile *Aigoo. Those two are inseparable. What kind of big brother takes his little sister out to all his hang outs with his friends?*

The bell at Dongyoung middle school rang. Students exited the school as quickly as possible. They couldn’t wait to go home and start the weekend. You and your friends came out of the school with linked arms.

“Should we go watch a movie?!” “Let’s go get shaved ice!”

The four of you laughed merrily and headed towards the gate. Suddenly, you and Sooki were broken apart. “What the hell-“ She sneered.

Misool with long black hair swished by with her other friends. Her pencil case fell out from her backpack. “Oh!” Your eyes widened. “Hold on.” You pulled away from your friends and ran to pick up the pencil case. “Unnie! Misool unnie!” You chased after her. She spun around with crossed arms and a raised eyebrow, “What?”

“You left this.” You held out the pencil case with a kind smile, “It dropped out of your backpack-“

Misool snatched it away from you, “You mean you stole it from me.”

You blinked in surprise, “No, I just saw it fall-“

“Yeah, right.” Misool sneered in your face, “And don’t give me that pathetic smile of yours. It makes me queasy. Everyone thinks you’re this perfect, innocent girl but I’m not fooled by your act. You two-faced, wretched bit-“

“Yah, Park Misool.” A voice called. Both of you looked up. She gasped in fear, “S-Sungyeol oppa.”

He walked towards you with his eye on Misool. He didn’t look happy to see her.

“Oppa.” You whispered. “You bothering my sister again? How come every time I see you, you’re somewhat messing with my little sister?” Sungyeol accused. Misool’s cheeks turned pink. “Oppa, stop.” You whispered. He ignored you, “Yah, Park Misool. This is my last warning. I see you anywhere near my sister again and when I become a cop in the future, I’ll lock you up in jail, araso?” “A-araso.” She mumbled.

“Go.” Sungyeol nodded. Ashamed and embarrassed, Misool ran away.

“Oppa that was mean.” You pouted. “Not mean enough. She better not bother you again.” Sungyeol growled.

You chuckled and shook your head, “What are you doing here anyways?” “What else? To take you home.” Sungyeol nodded at his bicycle.

“HI, OPPAS!” Your friends rushed over and bumped into each other. You giggled. All of your friends had massive crushes on Sungyeol. He looked especially handsome today in his high school uniform.

Sungyeol smiled and waved, “Hey. How are you?” “GOOD~” They giggled.

“You mind if I take my sister home?” Sungyeol asked.

“I wish he would take me home, too.” Sooki whispered. Sohee lightly elbowed her and beamed at him, “Go ahead, oppa.” “Bye, Saerom!” Your friend waved. You hopped on the back of Sungyeol’s bike and waved, “Bye!”

Sungyeol pedaled off towards home. Suddenly he stopped in front of a dukkbokki cart, “Dukkbokki! Let’s eat!” Both of you ran up to the cart and started to pig out on dukkbokki and o-dang.

“Ah~” Sungyeol held out the dukkbokki. You ate it and held out the o-dang so that he could take a bite. Sungyeol dangled the dukkbokki in front of you. You tried to eat it but he was waving it around too much. “Oppa!” You squealed. Sungyeol laughed and lowered the dukkbokki to your mouth.

You bit it off the toothpick and ate it all up. “Good?” He asked.

Smiling, you nodded and held your thumb out. Sungyeol smiled back.

You, your parents, and Sungyeol were at a cabin for winter vacation. It was Christmas Eve night and your parents were out celebrating their anniversary. You and Sungyeol had planned to spend the night watching movies by the fireplace. You were curled up under the blankets on the sofa.

“Here.” Sungyeol held out the hot chocolate. “Yay! Hot chocolate!” You took the mug and held it between your cold hands.

Sungyeol sat next to you and pulled some of the blanket over him. He turned the lights off and turned up the volume as well. The two of you laughed, screamed, and cried over the movies.

Past midnight both of you fell asleep on the sofa.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee snuck in back from their celebration.

Mrs. Lee gasped and stopped, “Honey, look!” Your head was resting on Sungyeol’s arm. His head was inclined towards yours and his arms were crossed. You and Sungyeol looked very similar in your sleep. Both your mouths were slightly open and cheeks were puffed up like chipmunks.

Mrs. Lee giggled and took out her camera. She started taking pictures of the sweet moment.

Mr. Lee quietly walked over to her and put his arm around her.

She smiled in sweet content, “Aren’t our children beautiful?”

He warmly smiled, “Yes, they are.” *Our most precious treasures Lee Saerom and Lee Sungyeol.*
