~ You look delicious ~
The next week went rather unspectaculary for I was busy with homework. Still I took my time to visit Jimin's dance class again since I really liked watching him dance. Besides, when did Hoseoks dance class turn into Jimin's? Probably when I had only eyes for him. I knew that suspiciously sounded as if I really liked him but I simply ignored that thought and persuaded myself I was just like a proud elder sister watching her little brother becoming an adult.
The week after started uneventfully, too but contained a surprise in the shape of a placard:
Halloween Party
Friday, 27th October
8 pm in the assembly hall
Motto: Thriller Partner Costumes
No inlet without costumes!
I wouldn't have noticed due to my dislike of parties, but since I had six friends who loved them I would be dragged there anyway. If we wouldn't have to dress up for it it would may be bearable but costumes? Really? I've never got that hype over Halloween and believed it was for little children and underdeveloped youngsters wanting to be a child again but nobody was interested in what I thout so whatever. Maybe I could just pretend to be sick or something so I won't have to go.... But unfortunately something or rather someone crossed those plans merciless.
"Hey Yoonji." I heard a familiar voice call out to me and I instantly smiled. "Hey Jimin." I said turning around to see him smiling happily at me. That changed quite quickly though as he suddenly looked nervous, biting his lower lip and stepping from one foot to the other. "Do you already know about the Halloween party this Friday?" He asked, looking at his small hands. "Yes, why?" I asked, not sure where this was going at. "And about the the partner costumes?" he continued. Slowly I started to get where he was heading but I waited for him to tell me nonetheless. "Well, I thought maybe... w-we two c-could go there... t-together. As p-partners I-I mean."
Oh no no no, how am I suppose to pretend I'm sick now? I couldn't turn Jimin down, right? His sad puppy eyes would hunt in my dreams forever. Is this a plan of Hoseok? Well, it doesn't even matter because my answer was already certain. "Fine with me." Whatever Jimin expected me to say it wasn't what I said for his jaw dropped slightly and his eyes widened in surprise. "Really?" he asked unbelieving and I nodded. "Great! I'm looking forward to Friday then." he said, grinning from ear to ear, his pupils not visible anymore, making me wanna pinch his squishy cheeks. "What about the costumes?" I asked tilting my head a bit. He seemed to forgotten about that because he smiled embarrassed, scratching his head. "Oh yeah, I've got an idea you may like." he said, leaning closer to whisper something into my ear, his breath tickling my neck making me shiver a bit. "How do you like it?" he asked after he was finished and loomed at me eagerly. I thought for a moment. "I like it." I said and smirked making him blush slightly. "I'm glad you agreed." He smiled happily, resulting in me smiling, too. "Okay, see you later then." And with that he went away.
At three pm I was just about to head home when I noticed Hoseok and Dawon standing in the university's foyer, arguing about something. Okay, if you just go by fast they may not notice you... "Hey Yoonji!" Dawon called out to me, waving and destroying my hopes of going home soon. Damn. "Hey." I greeted her. "Maybe you can convince my brother of me going to that party since I'm older than him." she said stubbornly, glaring at Hoseok meanwhile. "But you're a girl, what if somebody hits on you?" he asked, looking horrified. "God forbid I maybe will have a boyfriend someday." she rolled her eyes annoyed. "That's not the problem, I'm just worried about you." he said, suddenly sounding gently. "I know, but you can't lock me in my room forever." she answered, as gently as he did. God, I really had no time for this sibling bull.
"May I suggest something both of you can live with?" They turned their head at me, looking expectantly. "That party has a partner costumes motto so just go as partners. That way Dawon can go to the party and you Hoseok can have an eye on her." I explained and they thought for a moment. "Doesn't sound too bad." Hoseok murmured, Dawon nodding in agreement. "Okay, great then that's clarified now, bye." I said, already heading to the door. "Thank you for your help." Dawon shouted after me and I only lifted my hand, showing her I heard her.
After a long week I was standing in front of my mirror on Friday evening, not believing I really let myself be convinced to go to that damn party, but it was too late to chicken out now; I couldn't leave Jimin in the lurch, he didn't deserve that. But still... God how I hated parties; drunk people being noisy and breathing away all oxygen, it's nothing more than that, I don't get why everyone hyped them that much. Knowing grumbling wouldn't do anything good I sighed in annoyance, grabbed my jacket and left the house to take the bus to university. There I wanted to meet with Jimin at eight pm and as always, I was the first one there but it didn't take Jimin long to arrive.
"Hey Yoonji!" he greeted me. "Woa you look creepy." he added astonished. Normal girls may would have not be amused right now but I saw it as a compliment since we wanted to go to a Halloween party, no fashion show. "Thanks." I said, smirking at him. "May we go in?" he asked, looking away quickly to which I nodded and so we entered the University. There we put away our jackets, revealing our whole costumes. I was wearing a light blue cheerleader uniform with black rims. It had no sleeves and a white Y printed on my chest plus my white sneakers. Since it was a Halloween party I wasn't just some random cheerleader; I was the zombie version of it, wearing light grey contacts to make my eyes appear milky and lifeless. Dawon also helped me to paint me dark circles under the eye plus I applied a bit fake blood at my lips and chin making it look like I just ate some humans. Jimin however was my counterpart; a survivor of the zombie apocalypse. He wore a white tank top, his new ripped Jeans, black Timberlands plus a fake pistol in his belt. On his left shoulder he had some bandages wrapped around, a bit fake blood aging through it. He looked... "Delicious." I said out loud. Jimin looked at me confused. "What?" he asked. "You look delicious." I repeated, tilting my head a bit, limping towards him and reached out my arms to him, trying to look like a real zombie. I must have acted well since he laughed and walked backwards. "Ah, please stop, you're frightening me." I smirked again. "That's what I wanted to reach." Jimin laughed cutely at this. "You're so mean." he giggled and we we both started to laugh.
"Hey Jiminie!" I heard someone call and when turning around I saw Taehyung and Jungkook heading towards us. Seeing their costumes I chuckled a bit. Jungkook was wearing a white t-shirt, suspenders, dark blue jeans and yellow Timberlands. His dark hair was covered by a red Beanie and his white t-shirt was covered in fake blood and looked like it was scratched by sharp claws. Taehyung wore a black t-shirt along with black jeans and matching sneakers, furthermore he wore fluffy wolf ears and had fake blood on his mouth and hands.
"Do you recognize us Chim Chim?" Taehyung asked grinning widely. "Of course, you're Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf
