“Morning aunt Jihyo” 

 

“Morning dear!” Jihyo happily replied while serving breakfast for Jeongyeon 

 

But Jeongyeon looked like her mind was occupied with all sorts of things. Jihyo who have known Jeongyeon ever since she was small can notice straight away the difference in the latter’s face. 

 

“Why the long face?” Jihyo asked 

 

“Hmm” 

 

“Jeongyeon you can tell me anything you know that right” 

 

Jeongyeon nodded. 

 

‘Should I ask about appa or not? Hmm’ – Jeongyeon said in her mind 

 

“Okay stop wasting time and your food’s getting cold” Jihyo pointed at the breakfast plate in front of her 

 

The younger girl looked at the delicious breakfast served for her. She didn’t want to eat because she lost her appetite. But her hands automatically move to grab the fork and knife and feed herself. 

 

“Always a shikshin” Jihyo giggled watching her 

 

Suddenly they heard a knock on the window nearby the kitchen sink. Jihyo turned around and saw the gardener waving at her while smiling. She walked towards the window to open it. 

 

“Hi Youngjae” 

 

“Hi uncle Youngjae!” Jeongyeon greeted 

 

“Hi Jisoo. Morning dear Jeongie!” Youngjae said while wiping away one of his sweats 

 

“Who you calling Jisoo! I said to call me Jihyo” Jihyo knocked his head 

 

“Ouch. Okay sorry” 

 

Jeongyeon chuckled watching the scene in front of her. Youngjae’s their gardener. He had been working with the family long enough. But Jihyo was longer. Jeongyeon and Tzuyu understood that Youngjae had a crush on Jihyo ever since he started working for them. Jihyo knew about it but until now, she hasn’t replied his feelings back. 

 

“Give him a morning kiss, aunt Jihyo” Jeongyeon tried to talk with stuffed with bacon 

 

“Jeongie, keep quiet and eat” Jihyo commanded 

 

“Morning kiss for me?” Youngjae asked 

 

“Not even a chance. Aren’t you supposed to be gardening right now?” 

 

“Yeah. Just came by to give you this” Youngjae took out an apple from his baggy pocket.

“It just came off the apple tree behind there so I decided to give this to you” 

 

“Well that’s so sweet of you. Thank you” Jihyo took it 

 

“What about me?!” Jeongyeon interrupted 

 

“Sorry Jeongie but this time it’s for your aunt Jihyo okay? Next time I’ll bring a whole basket for you”

 “Okay then. I gotta go to class. Thanks for the food aunt Jihyo. Bye you guys” Jeongyeon grabbed her bag before leaving 

 

“Bye bye!”  

 

“She looked different. What’s up?” Youngjae asked 

 

“I don’t know. She looked like she had a bad dream or something” 

 

“Well whatever it is, take good care of the kids. I gotta get back to work. See ya later my love” 

 

“In your dream, Jae" Jihyo chuckled before closing the window

“Hi mom!”    “Krystal” Mrs.Minatozaki smiled    Krystal came to pay a visit to her mother in the hospital right after she finished her classes that day.    “How are you doing? Good?” the younger girl poured water into a cup for her mother    “I’m fine. What about you Krystal? How’s your studies?”     “Doing well. Just finished my last class just now. Don’t have anything to do after this so decided to come and spend time with you” she hugged Mrs.Minatozaki    “I’m glad that you’re doing just fine”    “Yesterday was unnie’s birthday. I didn’t get to meet her coz my class schedules were occupied till night”    “Yup your sister came with Mark. We had a little celebration together”    When Krystal heard her brother-in-law’s name, her smile faded away. Ever since Sana got married with him, Krystal thought that Mark was suspicious like as if he had done something wrong. Something unexpected. Since then, she never had the feeling to be closer with him.    “Mom, what do you think of Mark oppa?”    “He’s a very nice guy”    “What makes you think like that mom?”    Mrs.Minatozaki met with silence for a moment. For the first time, she’s having a second thought of Mark.    “Why are you asking me that kind of question, Krystal?”Mrs.Minatozaki looked at Krystal    “I’m just asking”    “I think Mark is a nice person because he treats Sana with full of love” said Mrs.Minatozaki    “Are you sure mom? Even though you don’t see them right now?” Krystal asked again    Krystal’s question made Mrs.Minatozaki mouth to not even let out a word. The younger girl realized what she had done and she was crossing the line.    “I’m sorry mom. Perhaps it’s better for you to take a rest”    Mrs.Minatozaki did not say anything while making herself to lay her back on the bed.    “I better leave now. It’s starting to rain outside. Bye mom, love you” Krsytal gave a peck on her mother’s cheek. Then she packed her stuffs and left the room.    After hearing the sound of her daughter leaving the room, Mrs.Minatozaki starred outside the window watching the rain to fall. She suddenly remembered a particular scene yesterday when Sana and Mark paying her a visit.    Flashback    “My daughter has grown into a beautiful young lady” Mrs.Minatozaki watched Sana blowing the candle on the cake they bought.    “Yay! I’m glad I can celebrate my birthday with you mom” she gave her mother a hug    “Here you go, mother. Hope you like the strawberry cake. She picked it” Mark giving a plate of sliced cake to Mrs.Minatozaki    “I love strawberry cake! Oh I feel so happy to watch Sana growing in age. And I am also happy just to see you both together” Mrs.Minatozaki smiled    Mark chuckled and wrapped his arm around Sana’s shoulder. Sana’s smiled faded away when she felt his arm around her. While Mrs.Minatozaki was busy eating the cake, Sana used the chance to push away his arm and walked herself to the opposite side of the bed. To not make any scene, Mark acted like nothing happen by shoving his hands into his pockets.    What they didn’t realize was, Mrs.Minatozaki actually noticed the scene and the way they acted.    End of Flashback    “Is Sana really okay?” Mrs.Minatozaki asked herself    ***********    Meanwhile at LA University in America, Nayeon was waiting for Jeongyeon at the library. She promised to tutor Jeongyeon to make her grades up.    While reading a book to kill her time, Nayeon then saw Jeongyeon entering the library from the entrance. She waved at her signaling their table.    “Hi Jeongie” Nayeon greeted    “Hi Nayeonnie” Jeongyeon sat the opposite of her    “You’re late. Now let’s get started. Take out your Math book”    Jeongyeon obliged the latter but her actions were slow. It was obvious to Nayeon that something was wrong with her.    “Jeongie, you okay?”    “Hmm” Jeongyeon slowly flipped open the book and just randomly flipped the pages    “What’s in your mind?”    “I don’t know Nayeon ah. There’s something been bugging me lately”    “Hey come on. Tell me about it. If you keep it up to yourself, you’ll get stressed”    “Yeah you’re right. Listen, last night I dreamt of appa. I didn’t actually see him but his voice was there”    “What did he say, Jeongie?”    “I kinda have forgotten about what he said but I think he’s trying to tell me something about his death”    “But I thought that you guys found out that his staff poisoned him”    “Right there! Staff! I remember-”    Jeongyeon’s sudden loud voice causing everyone else in the library to look at her. Nayeon quickly respond by bowing to the others.    “Hehe sorry” Jeongyeon smiled apologetically     “Jeongie, mind your voice”    “Nayeonnie, I remember now. In my dream last night, I heard appa saying ‘paid staff’ ”    “Jeongie are you sure? If that was what you heard, this means that there’s a culprit behind your father’s death”    “This means that this is a big case. We have to solve it, Nayeonnie” Jeongyeon immediately stood up and slammed her hand onto the table    Nayeon pulled the latter back to her seat, “Jeongie we still have to confirm it with Tzuyu oppa”    “Aah right. But Tzuyu oppa is in Korea” Jeongyeon set her cheek on her palm    “When will he be home?”    “4 days”    “Well let’s not waste time and use these 4 days to search for the ingredients” Nayeon started pa
