The sound of a car drifting at a corner can be heard from a block away. Chaeyoung and Mina held onto their seats preventing from themselves being thrown away or something. The car who was supposed to be driven by Chaeyoung, was now madly and fastly driven Tzuyu. 

 

“Dude, can you slow down a bit?” Chaeyoung can only move his eyes and looked at his bestfriend 

 

“We’re almost there” said Tzuyu, but no difference of the speed of the car. 

 

“Dude, there’s a beautiful model behind there and I don’t want her face to get ruined if something happens” said Chaeyoung 

 

Mina had her hands locked tightly onto the handle and the seat, “Tzuyu, slow down” 

 

“Sana needs me. I need to get there fast” 

 

“Dude, if I receive any tix or anything, you’re gonna pay for it” said Chaeyoung again 

 

They reached another corner and Tzuyu turned the wheel immediately and drifted the car. According to Chaeyoung’s belief, Tzuyu had never done that in his entire life. 

 

“Tzuyu we could get into an accident if you don’t slow down!” Mina raised her voice 

 

“Something happened to Sana’s mom and she can’t handle it alone! I know her!” Tzuyu raised his voice back 

 

Both of them gulped. 

 

“Mina ah.. just let Tzuyu do his own thing..” 

 

The both of them kept quiet and let Tzuyu drive the car to the hospital. They hardly prayed that they will safely reach the destination.

All she could think and say was ‘mom’ while riding the elevator. 

 

*ting* 

 

The elevator door open and she sprung out. People starting to notice her existence. 

 

“Isn’t that Minatozaki Sana the model?” 

 

“Hey it’s Sana!” 

 

But she ignored everyone and went straight to her mother’s ward room. 

 

“Mom” 

She was almost there when she saw the doctor just walked out of the room. 

 

“Doctor!” she ran towards him. 

 

“Sana, finally you made it” 

 

“What.. what happened to my mom?” 

 

She peeked through the transparent square box on the door and saw Krystal already arrived. Her younger sister was just sitting beside the bed and held Mrs.Minatozaki’s hand. Everything seemed so calm, except that she can see Krystal’s eyes were filled with tears. 

 

She grabbed the door knob but to be stopped by the doctor. 

 

“Before you go in..” 

 

Sana turned to look at him. 

 

“You must understand this situation. It happens to all humans in the world..” 

 

“What are you talking about?” she asked 

 

But he didn’t say anything and just walked away with his head hung low. 

 

Sana turned the knob and entered the room with a fake confident smile on her face. 

“Unnie” Krystal smiled sadly looking at her  “Hey..” she replied    “Mom, look.. Sana unnie is here”    Sana’s eyes watched the way Krystal’s voice choked while sobbing. Then she moved her eyes to the old lady lying on the bed. Her mother looks fine, she was breathing, yes she was breathing.. but her breathing was slow. Very slow.    “Is that you Sana darling?” Mrs.Minatozaki called trying her best to turn her head and look at her eldest daughter    Sana quickly moved right now to the bed and met her mother’s beautiful face and eyes.    “Hi mom” she held the latter’s hand tightly    “Hi there sweety. How are you?”    “I should be the one asking you that. What’s happening mom?”    Mrs.Minatozaki just smiled. The old lady lifted her hand to caress Sana’s cheek.    “You are so beautiful, my girl” Mrs.Minatozaki turned her head and caressed Krystal’s cheek. “You are gorgeous too, my princess”    Krystal already knew what was going on but she just kept quiet and hung her head low. Sana was very clueless.    “Mom?” Sana asked again  Mrs.Minatozaki breath was very calm and slow. She gripped tight onto Sana’s hand and said, “I’m leaving, Sana..”    Krystal already broke into tears and cried on the old lady’s arm.    “Mom? I don’t understand”    Sana somehow gets what her mother meant but she didn’t want it to really be true. She can feel her tears starting to build up and she was trying her best to fight them back.    “Mom, please tell me what is really going on”    “Sana” the old lady took a deep breath. “I’m dying”    'I’m dying'    'I’m dying'    'I’m dying'    Those words echoed in her head. So, what she thought just a second ago was true. Why the heck it came true? She can really feel, her shoulders dropped down, her heart sunk to the bottom; feeling like her soul wasn’t there. She didn’t even notice that a tear escaped from her eye and dropped on Mrs.Minatozaki’s arm.    “Sana..” called the old lady    “This..” She tried her best to put on a smile. “It’s a prank right? Right?” She moved away from the bed and looked at all corners of the room.   “Where are the cameras? Take it out. This is not funny at all”    Sana was starting to lose her mind. She truly cannot accept the fact that her mother is going to leave them in just minutes.    “Mom, please don’t leave us..” Sana heard Kyrstal sobbed    She turned around to meet her mother’s eyes again, “What is it that’s making you hurt? Medicine? Treatment? How was the treatment? Doctor said you were getting better”    “Sana..”    Sana went to a cupboard full of the old lady’s medicines, “Where is it mom?” She scrambled through the things.   “What is the name of the medicine that will help you feel better now?”    “I already have my medicine.. it’s the both of you” said Mrs.Minatozaki    She turned around and went closer to them. She grabbed hold of her mother’s hand very tight, not letting it go.    “Why? Why now..?” tears starting to pour out mercilessly    “I’m sorry. But it’s nature, Sana. We live, and we die” softly said by Mrs.Minatozaki    “But I’m not ready for this! We are not ready for this! Right Krys? We need you. I need you all the time, mom” Sana’s cheeks were shining wet    “I am not ready for this too, but it’s in the hands of God right?” the old lady smiled  “Mom, I don’t want you to go..” whined Krystal    “I can’t do anything Krystal. I’m sorry”    “I can’t live without you, mother. Please stay. Krystal, let’s take mom and move to my house. We’ll make pancakes in the morning, go shopping at noon and at night let mom sing us lullabies and shower us with goodnight kisses. Can we do that mom?” asked the teary Sana    Mrs.Minatozaki didn’t let out a word and just smiled. The heavenly smile from a mother worth a lot than you think.    “Having you both is the best thing that ever happened in my life. I have no regrets”    The old lady’s breathing getting much calmer and slower. It really worried Sana. Those seconds left, gave her the hardest heartbeat she ever felt.  *****************    “See you guys upstairs!”    Tzuyu dashed out of the car after immediately breaking in front of the hospital’s entrance.    “What does he think this is? A valet parking?” said Chaeyoung looking at his bestfriend entering the building    Mina jumped to the front and said, “Come on Chae! Let’s park this car and find Sana!”  ****************    The tanned guy went straight to the counter, “Mrs.Minatozaki
