This story was written as a prequel to a different story by a different author.

I must say that straight away, as it is important to the story. This story was written over the course of practically a year as a prequel story for a work that was in progress and was inspired by Exo's Monster music video and song. (The author of the original story told me the ending that was going to happen so I could write this one.) However, that story was taken down and remains incomplete, despite the many hours I spent creating this story. After I found out that this may never be a full story, this died and has remained untouched for months. 

I was recently encouraged by an acquaintance to post this story despite the original one being unavailable, as the message this story contains still reigns true, even if the audience is not as familiar with the characters as they are expected to be. 

I hope that despite this story missing several background details, you still enjoy it.
