Chapter 20 - Refuge in the Most Unexpected Place

The ground force festival would start in a month. Auditions have ended and participants have been chosen. Of course, Kim Jaejoong didn’t pass up the chance to get involved. The start of the auditions, he sent his application immediately, but even without doing so, many of his superiors have bid for him to join.

Inside the building where they were conducting planning of schedules and logistics for the festival, Jaejoong was there talking with his team for the whole event. Then, one of his mates dropped by and shared with them, “I heard Choi Song Hyun is the guest MC.”

The men got excited and wondered if they could have a picture with her. Softness and femininity would be a change of scenery in the army that reeked of men. Then the soldier added, specifically directing at Jaejoong, “U-Know Yunho would MC too for the main stage, did you know that?”

Jaejoong almost choked on the bottled water he was drinking. “What? Really?” Yunho had said he auditioned too, but never heard from him that he was chosen.

Someone else from the team remarked, “Ain’t that great? With Micky Yoochun joining the festival, we would have a DBSK reunion right here in the army.” He gave a hearty laugh and others cheered as well.

But Yoochun isn’t joining, and most likely, Jaejoong wouldn’t perform in the main stage once their managers put some words in.

The next day, in the same building, Jaejoong and his team were seated on the floor. They were discussing once more when word came in that participants from other divisions are going to join them in the building starting that day.

Jaejoong saw as soldiers came in, some he knew, but it was as if he was waiting for a certain someone to come in. And then there he was. Jung Yunho, in his military uniform, entered the room. From afar, Jaejoong knew it was him.
