Some people were scattered in front of the building and along the hallways chatting vivaciously. It's that time of the year when Skyline High was filled with a buzz of excitement and in which some students have been craving to arrive. There are those who've been counting down for the first day of school, so eager to see their friends and share their astounding stories about their summer vacation. There are those who were thrilled about a new school year and the fact that it means a new beginning. However, there are those who dreaded for this day to come.

While others were busy chattering… or waving… or hugging… there's a girl who differed from the ambience of the place. Instead of meeting with her friends, she walked by herself with a cloud of coldness enveloping her. She sighed while entering the brightly-lit classroom and trudged lazily towards the seat at the third row and all the way at the left side by the window.

As she slumped on the chair, others shuffled towards their seat while a middle-aged woman carrying a folder entered the room. Of course, it was Ms. Kwon. She has been her homeroom teacher for the past three years of high school. By now, she had probably memorized Ms. Kwon's introduction which goes like, Good mor—’

“—ning class, I will now introduce the new students.” Ms. Kwon finished.

Minji glanced to the woman talking and exhaled in disbelief thinking, "I can’t believe that Ms. Kwon will be my adviser again for my last year of high school. Although it’s been a long time, I’m not tired of this routine. Well I wasn’t tired of it… but now I am. All my strength has been drained and by now, I refused to listen.

                        I’m just too tired,

                                            sick of it,

                                                         of everything."

Meanwhile, a guy stood in front of the class with his hands in his pockets as he was looking around the room. What he saw, were curious intent looks from his new classmates. Their stares were so eager as if they were going to pounce him any second if he doesn't speak. He smirked from their reactions and glanced to the left and saw his childhood friend he hasn't seen in five years. "Kikwang-ah, nice to meet you again," he thought as he nod his head as a greeting.

"Well, would you like to introduce your name?" Ms. Kwon said.

"Oh, righhhtt…" his voice faded as he caught a glimpse of the girl in front of Kikwang. She had long straight amber colored hair. Her left elbow was propped up on the table, cupping her chin while looking out the window. The sun beamed at her making it seem like she was shining. His eyes grew in awe as he continued on observing the girl. It was as if she was graced by the warm radiance of the sun which left him speechless. But then, his forehead scrunched up as he felt a tug from his heart when he noticed her bleak chestnut eyes. He wondered how a beauty can have such gloomy eyes as if all hope were lost.

"Ahem," Ms. Kwon interrupted again.

He cleared his throat and spoke, "My name is…"
