please don't leave

Description

hansol gets emo at 1 am and goes to seungkwan to vent so seungkwan listens to him and tries to calm him

Foreword

Seungkwan checked the bright light of his cellphone to read the hour. It was nearing 1:00 in the morning and maybe he should close his book to sleep, even though he wasn't actually tired. He folded the corner of the page he was reading slightly before putting the closed book on his bedside table. He got up to take off his shorts and change into his pajama pants. He finally sat on his bed after getting changed and grabbed his phone to see a message from his roommate and best friend, Hansol.

'you up?'

Seungkwan's thumbs tapped the screen quickly to type out an answer.

'yeah'

'can't sleep?'

'i was reading'

A few seconds later, a knock was heard on the door.

"May I come in?"

Not waiting for an answer, Hansol entered the room and made his way to his roommate's bed and sat besides him, taking one of his baby blue pillows and hugging it. They kept silent for a moment before Seungkwan spoke up.

"Why are you awake?"

"I can't fall asleep."

Hansol sighed and hugged the pillow tighter.

"I'm thinking too much."

"Wanna talk about it?"

He shuffled closer and rested his head on Seungkwan's shoulder.

"I just can't imagine growing up anymore, I still can't believe we're adults yet. I'm not ready to graduate college then find a job and move out and pay rent and all that adult stuff. I'm not even sure of the job I want, you know?"

He could feel Seungkwan's breath against his hair.

"I'm not studying what I love and I think that's what's burdening me. I love music and I wish I could live doing something like producing for great artists out there, but I'm not talented enough. I also can't sing or play any instrument well so I'm no help in this industry."

"I think you have talent. You're good at rapping and your singing isn't bad. The few songs you produced are really good in my opinion."

"I don't know."

Seungkwan ran his fingers through Hansol's hair to comfort him.

"And about moving out, I don't want to leave you."

They stayed like that in silence for a long minute when the older took the latter's face in his hands and kneeled in front of his bed to face him.

"Hansolie."

He looked at Hansol, who was staring at his own feet. Seungkwan could see the taller boy was trying not to cry.

"Look at me, Hansol. Please."

Hansol finally looked at his best friend and held his breath.

"I love you, Hansol."

He rested his forehead against Seungkwan's.

"I love you too."

They moved to lay on the bed, Hansol's arms around Seungkwan's waist. They were facing each other, not saying anything. Seungkwan looked at the boy above him. Hansol was a really handsome man.

"Am I a burden to you?"

The question snapped him out of his thoughts.

"No, why would I think of you as a burden?"

"I'm not sure, do you mind me living with you, always asking you for help when I'm studying and wasting your time. I'm not able to cook anything edible and you're always the one having to cook for both of us. I'm always talking to you about my problems even when they are too unimportant to be considered problems."

"Listen, if you were a burden to me, I would have told you way before moving in with you as my roommate. No matter how unimportant you think your problems are, a problem is still a problem and your worries are my worries. I'm going to take care of you for as long as you'll need me. You've always been there for me when I get moody and the least I can do is doing the same for you because I love you and I care about you, Hansolie."

Seungkwan held Hansol closer while the younger played with his hair. They often acted like an old married couple and it wasn't rare for them to cuddle at night when they couldn't fall asleep.

"Kwannie?"

"Yeah?"

Hansol moved his hands to cup Seungkwan's cheeks.

"I think I'm in love with you."

He pressed a gentle kiss on Seungkwan's lips. They didn't say anything. Seungkwan just closed his eyes and returned the kiss. When they pulled apart, he put his head on Hansol's chest to softly peck his skin and the taller went back to his hair.

"I also think I'm in love with you."

"Please don't leave me."

"I won't, I promise."

They slowly drifted to sleep, still holding onto each other closely. For now, Hansol's worries were all gone. They'll come back eventually, but he isn't scared of them anymore because he knows Seungkwan will still be there to love him and comfort him when needed. He promised to never leave, after all.

Maybe someday they will actually be an old married couple.

"Goodnight, Hansolie."

"Goodnight, Kwannie."

This is super lovely! Short and sweet :3
Love their dynamic. (That third to last sentence almost caused me a cardiac arrest I swear XD)
Keep writing, you have a lot of potential. I already can't wait to read your next story :P
(I noticed you made a small typo though. You wrote confront instead of comfort. It isn't anything too serious but I thought you might wanna look out for stuff like this in the future :)
