Description

The first time in nearly three hundred years an Assessor was executed. The news was swiftly passed throughout the Dark Realm like wildfire. Only a handful knew why and of those there were only two who truly mourned the man and felt the weight of his demise.

Fresh out of the academy was Kyungsoo, newly appointed Assessor of Unit 143. He was young and determined to make a better name for himself than the executed Assessor, Luhan. What Assessor fails their job so entirely that their immortal life must come to an end? Kyungsoo just didn't understand. . .

Yet.

Foreword

Assessor, Grim and Reaper; it takes a team of three to prepare a soul for its passing.

The Assessor that judges the human on whether their soul is worthy of reincarnation, the Underworld where souls are collected, or hell where souls are punished for their choices.

The Grim are the next step after judgment has been made. They ready a soul for their end, open their minds to it, or at the very least soften the blow of their death to those around them.

Then the Reaper appears to ferry the soul to their place of judgment. It's a never ending cycle.

Chapter 6: What a cute ending!

Love the plot of this story! The concept itself is very different from your typical stories on this site and I especially love the role Luhan plays in this story with how in a way you can argue that he both brought pain and happiness in our two main characters’ lives in that he became Hyeyeong’s only friend and pushed Kyungsoo to do what he believed is the right way to end the case.

Chapter 6: Ooh they ended up together! Though I am still a bit confused about what the death bringers can or cannot do. I mean, they can date but can they marry and have kids? That was an interesting read and I enjoyed it

Chapter 5: Okay I will suspend judgment until the last chapter is posted. Though, I'd say I understand Hyeyoung contradicting Kyungsoo, if I were her I'd do the same. Great update! :)

Chapter 1: Just finished reading the first chapter. I thought the light atmosphere at the beginning is a good contrast to the fic's death theme, but we got down to business at the end HAHA. Interesting so far. Looking forward to read more.
