Secrets.
Weeping MonstersI was inside the cell for three days and two nights.
It wasn't as horrible as I expected, but it still was horrible. I leaned over the tainted wall of the prison cell (that was the last one along the divine strings of them) right beside the window that separated me from the other empty cells. I was the only one here, and I was the only one gazing at the window; staring at the white reflection of the moon outside. The plate of food in front of me laid forgotten for the continuum of time I was sent here. I wasn't able to find my appetite as much as I tried.
Even though I was supposed to be meeting with Lay on the first day to treat my wounds, nobody came, and my wounds eventually treated themselves slowly. Being a werewolf meant you heal fast, so three days were enough to mend my dislocated bones. I still feel sore when I move around but for now, being healed was great news for me.
I shifted in my place and locked my arms around my legs, cocooning myself on the farthest corner of the cell, the moonlight shining through the window and falling down my body like water waves. I moved one of my hands over to it and started making gestures to past time.
Seconds later, my whole body stiffened, and my nose crinkled at the delicious scent that was a few meters away from me. My head shot up to the door that leads out from the basement, all the way to the first floor; and my eyes stayed still there. My heart started palpitating, the intense smell surging through my nostrils; although soft and almost incomprehensible, creating an explosion of emotions down my spine.
It was the Alpha.
He had came to meet me. At last.
I almost climbed up my legs so fast, for me to fall down on my face, but I was a skilled combat fighter, and that meant flexibility. So I didn't fall, and landed smoothly in the way I wanted to stand at. I took a few steps forward, but a sudden nauseous feeling surged through me, and I tumbled down my knees, the earth spinning around me in round and rounds and rounds..
“You aren't eating.” I heard the most beautiful voice say and I on a sharp breath when my vision collided with the most enthralling boy my eyes could land on. The dizziness dissipated and it seemed like I was just as fine as I was all these days. Everything around me faded into a blur and my ears perked like they’re hearing a soft melody they enjoyed so much. Even though I have memorized the features of his face, I still got whisked away by how intensely divine he was. His facial features fell under each other dazzlingly and I was close to salivating. It was embarrassing.
I noticed his continuous stares to the plate of my food, back to my face, and I rose again to my feet, walking forward until my face was pressed against the metal bars. I didn't care, all I wanted to do at the moment was get as close to him as humanly possible. He was still standing in front of the door, far away from me; but even from this distance, I could feel his infinite warmth coming out for me in waves. I needed to submerge myself deeply within him.
“You came,” my voice came out croaked from the lack of use, and I immediately cleared my throat to strengthen it. “I’ve thought you all forgot about me.”
“Oh, trust me,” He gave out a single raise of his left eyebrow, his face showing not an ounce of emotions. It burned flames down my core, what were the odds he wasn't satisfied with my presence? “Your aura and smell are so intensifying, everyone in this house can feel you.” He continued, and I felt a small bang of pain echo in my body. Why hadn't anyone came for me then? Did they really, genuinely, want me to suffer? Even Baekhyun?
“I have just came home,” he continued to speak, forcing his eyes off of me to stare down at the black business shoes he was wearing, drawing unconscious circles with its soles. “And I was surprised this amount of power is coming out of you. Are you trained?”
When a werewolf is born, they have a certain aura that radiates off of them. Trained wolves, whether with martial arts or aura manipulation to deceive others have a different one. They have a stronger aura, more radiating; more focused. I was pretty sure I was radiating power, and I didn't hesitate to nod my head at him, his Alpha power making me unconsciously submissive, despite having the same blood running along my veins.
Seeing me nod, he creased his eyebrows, and then focused his eyes again over mine. My breath knocked away from my lungs. His hair was a bit sweaty, falling down his eyes like a magic show, his eyes were hooded a bit, and he looked like he was out of this world. So gorgeous, I subconsciously thought, pressing myself harder to the bars and hoping he’d get as close to me as I was to the bars.
He didn't.
He was only a bit close for me to take a whiff off his swift and strong perfume, mixed with a rich flavor of hot cocoa. I suppose he drank some before coming to me. There was also a small, almost nonexistent smell of rosewood, and I guess he had ran the way to here. His smell was exquisite.
“Were you originally born a wolf?” He asked me, and I was quick to nod, despite my confusion at his question.
“Yes.”
“You had not undergone a bite from a werewolf or is mated with one?” I blinked at his question, my heart doing a severe flip-flop of actions because wasn't I supposed to be shy about his questions? Besides, there is no way I’d be allowed to be mated with a werewolf with.. what I am.
“You know that you can't turn someone into a werewolf, do you?” I told him, having caught on to his hunch. I saw him wince and trying to hide it by a swift shake of his head, and I grew excited.
“I’m aware of that,” he told me, eyeing me warily. “I also know werewolves aren't able to conceive female wolves, but here you are.”
“Here I am,” I repeated, a sudden smile taking over my chapped lips. I noticed his eyes immediately zeroing to my mouth, his own tongue protruding out of his cavern to his own luscious strawberry-like lips. I gulped, and at the sound of my saliva going down my throat; the Alpha was quick to snap his eyes back to my eyes, the weakness that has spread in his orbs
