Some dates are very significant in people's lives. Birthdays, weddings, examination result, promotions, breakups, even any loved one's death or any personal reasonings; we tend to remember. Remember them in our own ways. Such events and occasions just happen to us and some occur due to our will. But there are such days people want to forget or do not even understand how to feel about them...These recurring chapters are going to evaluate such emotions at those occasions...

As the days of her due date is coming near, Joy is getting restless. Her bump is getting bigger. She is having trouble lying down. And she just wants to sleep. She puts her books down and looks at the crib. Her baby shower shall always be one of the greatest night of her life. She cried when she saw the gift basket from Irene. They sent their blessings for her and her baby. This forms a slight hope in her heart that one day, her oppa may forgive her...

Then she recalls how she kissed Namjoon. She smacks her forehead for some hundred times. What on earth she was thinking?!

The incident shocked her but what confused her more is Namjoon's reaction to it. She thought he would get angry or at least insult her but nothing. Surely he was baffled by it. Then it was not their first kiss...The thought makes her blush even more. And nowadays if she attains the red hue, it takes a lot of time to go away...It has been more than a week and she is all coy infront of Namjoon...she needs to get a control on herself.

She sips the herbal tea Cheonsa got her. She brought so many things for everyone!! This tea is actually helping her sore ankles and feet.

She gets up from her chair with difficulty. Today... is her birthday. Usually people cherish this day but Joy. Because this day reminds her how unwanted she has been. They used to throw a huge party at the Kim mansion to "celebrate" the occasion. It was actually a business and social cause which helped their position. As for her, she had to be thankful that they "thought" so much for an illegitimate child and she had to attend the guests with squeals and laughter. The nasty smirks and snarky comments were no surprise. Still she would have to ignore those things. Then she used to sit in the bathroom and cried her lungs out. Except for her last birthday. Namjoon got her a bouquet of purple orchids and white carnations. That was a faux though...But still the best gift she has ever got on her birthday. She laughed. So happy that she ended up signing the marriage registration papers with him two months later.

She did give Namjoon his coffee today but he seems so busy that he had only hummed to her "good morning". She does not blame him. On the contrary, she wishes if she can forget this date forever...

Noel knows about her aversion towards her birthday so the older lady had made some sea-weed soup and the Lees called to wish her. As low-key as possible. Jimin has smiled at her knowingly to which Joy smiled with relief. Which reminds her, why has Aera been so happy to see them together? Like if they are talking, she would look at them with glee. She shrugs. Maybe it is her over-thinking. Yeah...it has to be.

She looks outside. It is quite late now. Where is Aera? She went for her vaccination today. She wanted to go but the pain in her joints...So Noel took her. They must have stopped for icecream...

"Joooyyyy!!!"

She smiles. They are back. The little girl runs towards her but slows down for the baby. 

"So? Did it hurt?" Joy kisses her.

"Yesh!! I cry!!" Aera mumbles and Joy hugs her tightly.

"Awww...baby...I wish I was there..." She caresses her hair.

"It's okay Joooyyy!!!" Aera smiles. She understands her Jooyy has pain in her body so she should rest more.

"Did you have your dinner?" Noel asks.

"Yes...Aunty! You look so tired!!" Joy says worriedly.

"Hmmm...I am tired...." The older lady yawns.

"Oh! You should have dinner then..." She is about to get up when Noel stops her.

"No, no. We'd tteokbokki and ice-cream for dinner on our way. That is why we got so late..."

"Yesh!!" Aera laughs.

"Oh...Aunty since everyone had their dinner and there is nothing to do, I think you should go to sleep..." Joy suggests.

"You are right...Good night..." She kisses the girls and goes to her room.

"Now baby...you are done with your homework so you should sleep...?" Joy asks in a tired voice.

"Ummm...okay!! But I don't feel like..." Aera pouts worriedly. She is not sleepy and she can also understand Joy is tired.

"Oh...okay, we can lie down and talk?!" Joy smiles. She just needs to lie down.

"Okay!!" Aera agrees.

"Hulloooo!!! Baby-ahhhh!!! I m yer eh...noonaa or may be unni..."

Namjoon stops. The door to Joy's room is open, again. He can hear Aera's voice and Joy's laughter. He looks into the room.

"JOOOOYY!! Babay-ah know me!!! Moving!!!" Aera claps happily.

Joy's pajama top is pulled up, revealing her mid section. Namjoon smirks. There are strawberries printed on her clothes.

A cough and knock get the ladies' attention.

"Unkeel?!" Aera waves happily.

Joy tries to sit up but he raises his hand to ask her not to. 

"Did you have your dinner?" She asks habitually.

"Yes..." He looks at the bag in his hand.

She tilts her head in confusion. Why is he here? He is not drunk nor she is unwell. and last time he was here for baby-shower gift... 

 He sighs. Last year on this day he had got her favourite flowers. He went to her lavish birthday party. How angry Kim Seokjin was!! He could not even say anthing because of the guests. And Irene, it looked like she almost had a . Torn between her desire to talk to him and her duty as Mrs. Kim Seokjin. Namjoon was equally craving to speak with her. But he had to keep up his plan to woo and marry Joy. So he stole secret glances at Irene, and smirked at Joy...

"Here...this is for you..." He gives her the bag. 

Joy hesitates. He must have rememebered her birthday. She should be elated that he did not forget but her personal feelings regarding this day are not letting her....She cannot decide.

Namjoon raises his eyebrow and Aera observes him and tries again, making him laugh.

"What?! Take it!" He puts it in her hand.

"Wow!! Unkeel!! Gift!!" Aera sits close to Joy. 

She takes the things out. Those are...oversized t-shirts. With cartoon characters like tweeties and minnie mouse. She looks at him confused.

"Well...I thought they will match with..." He looks at her pointedly.

She begins to blush.

"Wow!! Unkeel!! These are SO NICE!!!" Aera looks at those clothes, "Jooyyy!! Say thenk you!!!" She looks at Joy smiling.

Joy looks down and murmurs, "Thank you..."

Namjoon shrugs.

"I will keep them in the drawers..." Joy tries to get down of the bed when Aera stops her.

"No.No. No...Joy you are tired!!!" She rubs her hand on her bump.

Only then Joy realizes that she has left it bare. She looks at him to find that he is staring at her swollen belly. She slowly pulls down her night shirt to over it. She is flushed.

"Yes, but we cannot sleep with the bag on our bed, right?" Joy has a tendency of keeping her things in place.

"Allright. I'll keep the bag in..." Namjoon takes the bag and walks towards her cupboard.

"No! Not that..."

But he has already opened that drawer. He bites back his laughter. He turns his head to see Joy's eyes wide open. 

"What happend??" Aera looks between them.

"Nothing, Aera. It's just..." Namjoon smirk at the older lady, "...I opened your Jooyy's wrong drawers..." 

Aera gets down to see. Joy is hiding her face with her hands.

"Oh!! This..." Aera shrugs. She still cannot understand what is there to be so weird.

"Yep..." Namjoon looks into the constituents. Well, Joy hasn't stopped him so he is not intruding something.

It has Joy's undergarments. Namjoon had opened it accidentally and would have closed it in immediately but those...they all are such colourful with cartoons!!!

Joy is still hiding her face when they have kept the bag inside.

"Joooyyy and I be get from the same shop!! These!!" Aera informs nonchalantly.

"Aeraaa..." Joy whines.

"Really...??" He drawls. "I guessed that..."

"You buy from there?" She asks him.

Joy chuckles still covering her face and Namjoon looks at the girls comically.

"Ummm...no! They won't look nice on me. Also I don't like them much..." He states in a neutral voice.

"Awww..." Aera pouts and nods.

"Anyway, it is late now!! Good night..."

"Good nite Unkeel..." Aera yawns and then kisses Namjoon. She lies beside Joy and sleeps immediately. She has always been a quick sleeper...

Namjoon is about to leave when he hears Joy wishing him a good night.

He turns around and walks towards her. He lowers his head to her ear level. Her heart starts to beat. Though it is nothing compared to the thumping after he says this, "But I don't mind them on you...You look good in them..."

That night Joy cannot muster any sleep....
