Description

Seven friends call themselves the 'Street Lights'. They were born to explore and discover. Going on different adventures was their job. This time, their adventure was much more horrifying and dangerous. In order to survive, they need to express all their thoughts. If not, they would regret hiding it. Will they be able to keep one another protected? What about the ones that they truly care about? Would they be able to clear things out and help the team through the adventure?

Foreword

"Mom? What's going on?", asked the seven-year-old Jeon Jungkook, as he grabbed hold of his mother's wrist.

She leaned closer and kissed his forehead, "It's called an earthquake. Just hold my hand tightly and follow me, okay?" His mother explained, trying to act as natural as possible, as panicking would only scare her beloved son.

They both kept running across the road in search of an empty area where they would be protected. "Mom, where's father? Where are we going?" Jungkook asked, still oblivious. Mrs. Jeon ignored and kept running. Debris fell of the broken buildings and hit her. She hugged her son, protecting him from the pieces of rock.

"Mom, your head's bleeding. What's going on? Mom! Mom!", yelled Jungkook as he saw his mother kneel down and cover her face.

"Jungkook-ah, do you love me? Do you love your father? Do you love your family?"

"Yes! Yes, I do! Get up mom, we have to hurry. The ground is shaking, mom. But why?"

"Jungkook... Promise me you will do something for me?"

The young boy wiped his tears and nodded.

"Run, Jungkook, run as fast as you can. Run to... heaven."

"What are you saying, mom? I don't know what heaven looks like! I don't want to leave you, mom!"

"But a promise is a promise, Jungkook. Heaven is a large plain, empty, flat field that protects you from-"

"Mom, stop... Please... Let's go..."

The lady stood up on her feet, trying to balance herself. "Jungkook, please do as I say! Run... Run as fast as you can!" She pushed her son forward and smiled.

Her last words and her beautiful smile were the only thing Jungkook could think of as he ran. He ran further ahead, tears flowing down his cheeks; he looked back, but all he could see was a building fallen over, fumes of smoke and shattered glass. He stopped and screamed; he felt someone grab his hand and pull him forward - it was a young boy, a few years older than him.

"Come! Quick! Where's your energy? Run!", the boy yelled.

Jungkook's tears dried up. His hand was warm and that led him to run faster than before. They both ran to an open, empty platform. There were only a few flowers, dust and litter on the floor.

"Is this heaven?" Jungkook asked as he stared at the boy's back.

The boy stopped and turned around. "This is safety. Please. Wait here. There's something I have to do..."

Jungkook watched him pass by and run back towards the hazardous roads. His legs gave up on him, and he had no choice but to sit down. He pulled his knees to his chest and leaned against a rock, big enough for him to rest his back. "Mom... I've reached heaven... When are you coming?"

A few minutes later, the boy from earlier came back with five other boys of similar age.

"Sit here. I'm going to tell my father that I've brought as many people as I can into safety. Please don't move. Just stay here. You're safe here!" He sprinted off again. As he was running, he found his father and hugged him tight. "Father, I brought six boys into the field. I think they're safe. I didn't see any parents though. I found all of them running through the streets."

"That's great, Taehyung." The man spoke up.

"Father... Where's mom?" Taehyung asked as he looked up at the grim expression on his father's face.

"She'll come, okay? Don't you worry..."

A few metres behind Taehyung's father, there was a large building, about to collapse. "Look out!", shouted one of the boys that Taehyung rescued.

The man turned around and saw the heavy structures approaching them; he pushed his son to the field and before he had the chance to escape from the large shadow, the building collapsed over him.

"Father! No! Father! Father!", Taehyung yelled and cried. He hopelessly pushed his body against the fallen building.

Jungkook and the other boys pulled him to the field. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?", they asked but Taehyung was unconscious.
