Tris knew Kihyun was never going to see her as a girl. She was his best friend, nothing more. So she never said anything. She watched him crush on other girls. She gave him advice about other girls even though it killed her. When he left, not only did she have to say goodbye to her best friend, but also the guy she was in love with. There was always a part of her that hoped Kihyun would one day love her in that way. But he went off and became an idol. An idol who was loved by thousands of girls. An idol who could have any girl he wanted so why would he want her. But tonight, on his bed, there was a glimmer of hope. It seemed as if he was going to reciprocate what she had been feeling for years. But alas, he let her go out with Hyungwon.

Tris tried to get Kihyun out of her mind so she could just enjoy her walk with Hyungwon. She had not spent much time with him, but he was really the sweetest boy she had ever met. Hyungwon and Tris had found a cosy café. Their table was meant for two people but was only big enough for one. It felt very intimate. “I cant believe you are going to be an engineer soon, I don’t think I have ever met someone so smart. Its very intimidating.” Hyungwon said. “Im not intimidating, I mean look at me”. Tris said still unable to fully make eye contact with him at this close proximity.  Hyungwon leaned in towards Tris. His face was barely inches away from hers. He softly spoke, “Well i am looking at you and that’s pretty intimidating too.”

Butterflies, was that the right insect? No, butterflies are tiny and light. What Tris felt in her tummy at that moment was maybe genetically modified, 'hulk sized' butterflies. Tris grew up with a lot of male friends who just saw her as one of the guys. So it was rare for a guy to see her in this light, the light that Hyungwon clearly saw her in. It was even more rare for a guy who saw her this way to look that perfect. 

Since it was a cold night, most people would have wanted hot choc or coffee but Tris wasn't most people. The waitress gave her a weird look when she ordered the ice cream sundae. She then gave a confused look when Hyungwon asked her to get him the same thing. Tris was unsure if the waitress' confusion was about the ice cream or about why a guy like that was with a girl like her.

"By the way, after the concert, when we were in that room with all the family and friends", Hyungwon said, "my noona saw me talking to you and asked why i didnt introduce her to my girlfriend". Hyungwon blushed which made his cheeks even prettier Tris thought. Tris couldnt help but blush right along side him. "Why did she think im your girlfriend?.
