What's Exo?

(Joo Young's POV)

I've been homeless for a while now, and I honestly want a home. Yeah, I'm like an abandoned puppy for 3 years now. My parents left me for a multimillion job deal, and they asked our distant relative to be my guardian. Argh, that guardian left me hanging, so here I am, wandering the streets of Gyeonggi-do.

And if you were to ask why I allowed myself to become like this, the answer would be easy. I'd like to think of myself as a very kind hearted girl. I don't want to hinder my parents from doing what they want, and I don't want to be a pain in the neck for my guardian. I figured out that I can survive living alone. However, being kind took its toll on me. I lost the house in a fire and was left nothing.

It's pretty much a normal day in the streets. I've grown used to the random people who come up to talk to me. 

"You're so pretty. Where do you live?".... "Oh goodness, you're a doll. Why are you homeless?"..... 

I get that a lot. I've become socially awkward, so I'd politely bow 90 degrees, "Mianhaneyo." 

As I ate my Melona ice cream, I saw the huge black truck with a huge television again. I've been seeing it everyday, and the people(mostly girls my age) are squealing over the truck. Today, I finally checked why everyone seems to be crazy about it. Here's what I saw:

"Oh wow!!!" I said with a loud voice. The girls in front looked at me. 

"You must be fangirling over Kai-oppa! EXO is so cute, ne?"  One of the girls asked me. WAIT. What Exo? Who's Kai? I didn't say wow because of the video. "I was fangirling over the technology. Everything is so advanced now, right?" I said in my usual shy voice. She rolled her eyes.

"Pabo." She uttered, and the other girls laughed.

Aigoo. I just proceeded to walk again. 

A black shiny car suddenly stopped in front of me. I was startled. A rather old man in a black suit stepped out of the car. 

He smiled at me. I bowed.

"Hello. I am Lee Soo Man."
