They spend the rest of their days in New York City going to places that interested them, rather than going to her sister’s list of places. Of course, the both of them are tired out of their mind, but they still try to spare the time. They end up going to the Staten Island ferry anyway, and they jokingly do the Titanic pose even though it was stupid. Someone ended up taking a Polaroid of the moment, and they saved it as a reminder of their time in the Big Apple.
Jongin could easily say that spending time in New York was a defining part of his life. Maybe it was cheesy, but he couldn’t feel lost in this foreign city. Maybe it was because Chaeyeon had struggled through it too.
But still, it was kind of relief to go back to Seoul. They land, and as soon as they got off the plane and into the airport, Chaeyeon jumped on him, and this time, she was the one that murmured the words, “Welcome home.”
He just chuckled at that, repeating the words back to her before they walk through the gates to find their parents.
Kyungsoo punched him in the shoulder, “Did you get more muscular?”
Jongin grinned. Kyungsoo couldn’t talk. That punch hurt more than it had before, so he wasn’t the only one who did. The dance program had been hard on his body, but he felt like it had paid off.
