Through my fault
Description
Choi Seungcheol is an artist by trade and had been working in the field for the past four years. One day, upon getting a call, he comes to know that his uncle, and only living relative, had passed away from an illness. According to his uncle's will, Seungcheol was given the rights to an old mansion that had belonged to the Choi Family for generations. Feeling the grief of his loss, Seungcheol decided to move back to the town where he was born and stay at the mansion, in hopes of some closure. However, things go awry very quickly. What happens when he starts recalling memories he never thought he had experienced, dreaming about people he had never met and feeling the presence of other people inside the mansion? Are these the tricks of the mind of a mourning man or are there really things about him that even he didn't know?

Foreword
Confíteor Deo omnipoténti
et vobis, fratres,
quia peccávi nimis
cogitatióne, verbo,
ópere et omissióne:
mea culpa, mea culpa,
mea máxima culpa.
Ideo precor beátam Maríam semper vírginem,
omnes angelos et sanctos,
et vos, fratres,
oráre pro me ad Dóminum Deum nostrum.

The world is an abyss of uncertainty. In that abyss, you are your only salvation. Your knowledge of yourself is what keeps you sane. There is no one who knows you better than yourself. The very thought of some other entity knowing you, better than yourself, breaks the fragile basis of your existence.
Having said that, our dearest Seungcheol must have ceased to exist the moment he had stepped foot into this mansion- a place forgotten by God and the laws of nature alike.
Live for seventy years or celebrate your hundred and twelveth birthday or perhaps enjoy the privilege of a mortal having lived for two centuries. 1000 years, 5 millenia and so on. You may die, your children may die, your children's children may die. But the souls of those whom you had a great impact on, in your lengthy time in this world, will follow you through your generations. Remember them. Because even if you don't, they will remind you of them, and of yourself.

Hey everyone.
I haven't written a proper fanfiction in a really long time so I really hope this isn't too bad. I have quite an ambitious plotline for this and I hope my writing skills aren't rusty enough to fail me. The first couple of chapters will be a bit slow because I really want to set the mood and give the story a solid base. I hope you'll bear with me and wait patiently for the interesting stuff to start. The story was inspired by the Diamond Edge VCR. Any resemblance of plotlines with any other works is merely coincidental. Please subscribe, upvote and comment to keep me motivated! It really helps!
I hope you enjoy Choi Seungcheol's life through my eyes.
