Jiyong the Vampire King has been around for almost a six hundred years. He's tasted the best and the worst. He's slept with Kings and Queens. Partied with celebrities, then erased their memories.  His powers are more than anyone could ever guess. He can shape shift, but has to avoid the sun, and survives with blood. He created other like him only to be betrayed. He's killed most of his kind. Especially when they don't follow his rule, when they try to expose themselves to more than one human. Each clan member is allowed one human slave or mate as they choose. but if they choose a betrayer they must kill them and themselves. Recently the vampires have be having trouble with a family of hunters. 

It started about one hundred years ago, when a human turned against his master and killed her. After a war broke out, the town was burned everyone fleed. all the vampires went into hiding. the night life quieted down and almost all had forgetten this history.

Jiyong the Vampire king moved to america. never creating another vampire clan again. There are still the rogues who decided not to follow. and this is how this story starts.
