The Mission

NOBODY POV

“Can you stop moving your leg? Is driving me crazy,” said Key to Jonghyun.

“Sorry, I’m so nervous!”

“Why?”

“Tonight we will commit a crime, don’t you remember?”

Key rolled his eyes.

“The mission, Jonghyun, it’s a mission.”

“We are going to get drunk our leader.”

“We are going to have some drinks,” Key corrected him.

“Where is Minho and Taemin? Oh, there you are.”

“So tonight is the day?” asked Minho.

“Yeah, but first, we have to convince Onew hyung to go to the bar with us. Where is him by the way?”

“Sleeping,” said Minho and Taemin at the same time.

“We just came from his dorm,” said Minho.

“We won’t success,” whispered Jonghyun.

Key hit him lightly.

“Yah!”

“Don’t say that, we will success, okay?”

“Who will convince Onew to go to the bar? He is sleeping,” said Taemin.

“You,” said Jonghyun, Key and Minho at the same time.

“Why me? Can’t someone help me?”

“It was your idea, Taemin, you will convince Onew hyung to go to the bar with us,” said Jonghyun.

“But…”

“No, no, Taemin, and don’t do aegyeo, it won’t work this time,” said Key.

“Ok, I understand,” he said and went to Onew’s room.

“Aigo, what are we doing?” said Jonghyun.

“He will do it, just wait,” said Minho.

Taemin knocked the door, and no one answered.

“Onew hyung, are you sleeping?” he asked though he knew he was sleeping.

“Onew hyung,” he tried again, but he didn’t wake up.

“Hyung, hyung, hyung, hyung, hyung,” he said and shook his body.

“Mmmnh, Taeminnie, what you want? I’m sleeping.”

“Hyung, I lost my cell phone, I think I forgot it in the bar.”

“The bar? Which bar?” asked Onew confused.

“The bar that Jonghyun, Key, Minho and me went the last month.”

“And you noticed that you lost your phone one month later?”

“Eeeh, yes.”

“Did you search well? Under your pillow, in your pockets.”

“Yes, I’m pretty sure is not here; Minho hyung helped me to find it but is not here.”

Taemin knew it was a bad idea about the lost cell phone but he couldn’t think in a better idea.

“Can you drive me to the bar, please?”

“The other members can drive, too.”

“Jonghyun said he is sleepy and may cause an accident, Key just did the manicure and Minho said he is not confident yet about his driving skills,” said Taemin.

“Okay, I will take you to the bar.”

“Thanks, hyung,” he said and hugged him.

Minho was smiling when he saw that Taemin came out ten minutes later with Onew, proud of him, and Jonghyun and Key were surprised of Taemin’s skills.

“Are all of you going to the bar, too?” asked Onew when they saw he saw all his fellow members inside the car.

“Yes, we can’t drive but we will help Taemin find his phone.”

“I will wait you here, guys,” said Onew once they arrived.

“No way, you will come with us,” said Minho and grabbed his hand.

“Oh, my cell phone is here, hyungs, it was in the inside pocket of my jacket,” said Taemin showing it.

“Ok, let’s go home,” said Onew.

“No, no, no way, we are already here, just let have a drink, today is our free day, we haven’t rest for a while,” said Key and grabbed Onew’s hand.

ONEW POV

I was dead tired, I wanted my bed and I wasn’t in the mood but a drink sounded good to be honest, it has been a while since I spent time with them.

All of them screamed and started to sing out loud.

“Agh, you guys are so noisy.”

“We are happy because our Onew is back,” said Key and hugged him.

Then all of them hugged me, too. I was surprised but happy.

“Take this drink.”

“Hyung, this is delicious, try it.”

“Hyung, have you tried this drink?”

What was their problem? When they started to like to drink that much? And Taemin was even allowed to be here?

“No, thank you, it doesn’t look tasty.”

“Ah, it seems that Sungyeon is doing pretty well. I heard she won the first place three times,” said Jonghyun.

The moment I heard the name Sungyeon, my heart beat double time. I could feel the heat of his body, I could still feel it like if she was next to me but when I saw the empty chair, I realized how empty and lonely I felt. It was harder than I thought, I thought I will be used to his absence but as day passed I missed her more, I wondered if someday I'll go crazy, or was I already crazy?

I wanted to go back to Korea but I knew it wasn’t impossible. Also I promised her that I’ll protect her but being so far of her, there wasn’t much I could do. I felt bad for not being able to fulfill that promise.

“Onew hyung, this one looks tasty,” said Key.

I accepted it.

NOBODY POV

“I think is enough, we should stop giving him more drinks,” said Jonghyun worried.

“Try asking him something,” said Minho.

“Onew hyung, I heard Sungyeon is doing pretty well, she won…”

“I don’t want to talk about her,” said Onew.

“Why? Are you okay?”

“No, I’m not.”

The others member noticed that Onew started to speak. They came closer.

“Every time I think about her, I want to cry, I’m tired to smile and pretend that I’m okay but the true is that I can’t stop thinking about her and I have to hold my tears, and…”

JONGHYUN POV

“Onew, you are an idiot,” I told him.

Everybody looked me, surprised.

“Who said you can’t cry, who asked you to pretend to be okay when you are not?”

I couldn’t stand more seeing Onew in that condition, it broke my heart see him hurt when he shouldn’t be because Sungyeon do love him. It was unfair.

I was about to tell him the truth but Minho stopped me.

“Sshh, you shouldn’t, and you know it,” he warned me.

I sighed. He was right; I shouldn’t tell him the truth. I will be in a big trouble if I do.
