CHAPTER 1: Throw Back Time

"You'll be back before they come, right?" Hanna was talking to her husband on the phone.

"I'll try my best, hon.." her husband replied across the phone. From his voice, it looked like he was doubting that he can make it on time.

"You should. What would I do to face them alone?" Hanna pouted, already imagining she should face her husband's guests alone.

"Don't be too nervous.." her husband replied shortly.

Hanna was sighing before saying, "You told me they’re important guests for you.. Aaah really, it's you who invite them to come, please take responsibility for that.. You're not used to be like this."

Her husband was laughing. "I got it, hon.." To change the topic, he continued with asking, "How's our little hero?"

"I've send him to school.." Hanna simply answered. "He's asking about you all the time.."

From accross the phone, her husband was smiling, he missed the kid too. "Tell him, I'll be home soon.."

"Yeah.." Hanna nodded.

"Okay then.. Bye, love.."

"Bye.." 

With that they ended the phone call and Hanna got up to the kitchen. It was still in the morning, but Hanna was determined to clean the house in order to make a good impression to her husband's guests.

She collected her hair into a bun and wore an apron. Cleaning the house was not the things she like to do, if she had another option, then she would choose to watch TV or read novels in a day such this weekend. But her husband was known for his clean and tidy image, so she couldn't help but to do what a good wife should do.

Hanna has her own method to clean the house. Take everything out, make a mess, throw un-useful things to the trash bag and then put the useful ones back to their right place. She used to do it since she was young every time her mom asked her to clean the house. She did that deliberately to make her mom angry, but it was actually making the room a lot cleaner and tidy. That method has become habit as she grew up.

She started from the living room, not much she could tidy up there except a box of cookies she ate last night while watching movie. She then moved to the office room. She thought who know her husband's guests have a random urge to check on his office room too. Aside from his clean and tidy image, her husband is actually quite messy. His office room was one of the proves. He rarely put the books he has read back to the shelf. Just like this day, Hanna found out several books lied on his desk. All the books mostly related to his work, but one book caught her attention.

"Wait, isn't it mine?" Hanna took a faded brown photo album and looked closer. "It is. But why did he look at it?"

Hanna took the time to sit on a chair and opened the photo album. There, she saw the first photo in that album. It was at the New Year’s Eve to 2012, she had a trumpet on her hand, so did her four best friends. They looked so happy and free. She read handwritten above each persons in that photo. Choi Bunny. White Tiger. Optimus Hwang. Sailor Venus. Wartortle. Hanna couldn’t help but to smile remembering her silly actions to write the alias name instead the real ones.

“Choi Minki. Kang Dongho. Hwang Minhyun. And Kim Jonghyun.. aaah long time no see you guys.. what are you doing right now?” Her eyes starting to wet as tears started to come out. “It’s from 25 years ago.. Oh my Gosh, we look so outdated..”

She softly brushed the photo album with her thumb, specifically on one person. Hanna’s lips couldn’t help to make a curve as she stared at one of the guys in the picture she ever fell in love so deep. “Aaah, I miss that roller coaster feeling.. Can I go back to that time again?”

New Year's eve to 2012

Everyone living in Dobong-dong block D was gathering in Hwang residence to celebrate the New year's eve. While the kids were having fun in family room, the parents were chatting in dining room. Both have been companied by their favorite's Hwang's signature fried chicken. What made it different was that the parents can have soju, the kids can only have colas.

"Ah really, I want to taste soju too.." Dongho grumbled after he sipped his cola.

"A year more, Dongho ya.. we'll take them here! All of them!" Hanna cheered Dongho up, because actually she wanted to taste soju so badly. She always admire someone who was drunk and talking what was deep inside her heart without her knowing.

"Not a year more, Hanna.. wait until you turn 20.." Mrs. Kwak who overheard their conversation tried to daughter.

"It's unfair! I heard that in LA they even allowed to drink in age 18." Hanna protested.

"Then just go back to LA.." Her mom responded wittily and it made Hanna frowne
