Nightwalkers, otherwise known as vampires, are said to be vicious creatures of pure evil. They may look and act like normal human beings but the official warnings state to always be alert not to fall for their evil play.

 

For about 35 years humans have known about the existence of these so called nightwalkers. For 35 years humans have feared these creatures but have also learned of ways to "coexist" with the other species. Don't get me wrong, they're definitely not on friendly terms with eachother but both parties have come to the understanding that they're not the only ones living on this planet and so they must share it.

 

It was not an agreement that simply came to be in a few hours, oh no, it took years and years for the two parties to make this decision. Years of fighting the other, years of angst, years of blood spill and years of destruction.

 

This decision has brought both good and bad to the world we're currently living in. War is no more and people are able to peacefully live their lives. The nightwalkers and humans live their lives surrounding eachother. The humans feel safe most of the time. The downside to all this is the fact that the nightwalkers dont have the right to publicly announce what they are. Though they are called nightwalkers they are in fact able to endure sunlight and thus they're able to act and live like they're normal human beings. There are special blood banks which they could sign up to so they can legally get their blood supply, the adults are able to perform the profession they like and their children are able to go to school and study.

 

Now you must wonder: why is this a downside? Let me tell you. The answer is fairly simple really.

 

Humans are still afraid.

 

Afraid of what might happen if they find out someone they know is a nightwalker. afraid they might get attacked by a rogue nightwalker.

 

Rogues are the nightwalkers who don't follow the agreement. They dont do bloodbanks, no, they prefer their bloody meal straight from the vain. Their victim is either left behind to die, killed on the spot or turned. Few of those who are left behind survive such a cruel attack. The ones who are turned are most likely to become a rogue as well as they go on a blood-high right after they wake up. dry and killing every possible living creature they can find without stopping, which results in an addiction. Never satisfied with the amount of blood they have, always craving for more.

 

The police and special enforcement have tried to get rid of the rogues but with no avail..

 

This is the reason humans dont want to associate with the nightwalkers. This is also the reason nightwalkers hide their identities, afraid of being mistaken for rogues which would result in a modern-day witch hunt.

 

This is also the reason why Kim Jongin, a 19-year-old nightwalker, tries oh so hard to hide his true self.

Hiyaaa,

So I've been gone for I don't know how long and now I got this sudden spark of inspiration and et voila, here I am.

I'm planning on making this a short story, but with larger chapters. Writing them might take a while since I'm in the middle of my exams but we'll see how far I'll be able to get!

I hope you're as excited as I am for this story cause honey I've got some good in mind (not literally thank you very much)
