It was another day and the SunRi apartment was relatively silent. Yuri and Tiffany were chilling by the T.V., while Sunny, Taeyeon, and Hyoyeon were investigating the possible whereabouts of King’s last drug manufacturing zone, but as if their prayers had been answered, an eerie static sound floods the T.V. channels leaving Yuri and Tiffany confused. “What the… this hasn’t happened before.” Yuri stated.

“Did you sit on the remote again Yul, that big is always causing trouble isn’t it?” Tiffany teased.

“Yah, you’re just jealous of my figure.” Yuri stuck her tongue out toward the cheeky girl. Yuri moved towards the T.V. stand to inspect what had caused the T.V. to lose signal so suddenly, but yet again another surprised appeared onto the screen and not one that Tiffany appreciated at all. “Citizens of New York, you all that your heroes are special. You have all blindly believed that their ability to control magic has been unique to only them, but I have some terrible news for all of you naïve Yankees, those gifts aren’t purely theirs to wield. There are many of us mages out there, many who aren’t on the side of truth and justice and if you wish for us to stay within the shadows, I have one condition. Vermilion, I know somewhere, out there, you are hearing this message. So my terms, I will not attack the city, if you hand your stone over to me peacefully in exchange for this.” King shows a bright, white soul stone that he had used to capture Shinju’s soul a year and a half ago.

“I know you want this mate, but how much do you want it? Are your powers worth more than the welfare of the city and most importantly, Shinju?” King questioned.

“Well, if you truly are the hero they believe you to be mate, come to Time Square in two days at 12 pm. No sooner, no later. If you miss your window of opportunity to truly be the city’s savior, then I will release my army upon them. You may be strong Vermilion, but do you really believe you can stop eleven mages including myself alone? I’ll be waiting, mate…” The T.V. signal cuts out again and reverts back to the program that Tiffany and Yuri were previously watching before King had invaded the channels.

Taeyeon, Sunny, and Hyoyeon had burst into the living room with extreme concern evident on their face. “What’s going to happen now TaeTae?” Tiffany asked.

“I… I don’t know…” Taeyeon was unsure of the next move to make. Eleven blood stone users weren't anything to take lightly, especially if she had to do it by herself. Tiffany would never let her fight alone, but were even the two of them together capable of stopping the ten together along with King? King would take most of Taeyeon’s focus to beat, it was definitely going to be a one versus the other scenario between her and King. She was, after all the only person who could currently defeat him because of her King Conjure, and for Tiffany to miraculously learn it in two days would be damn near impossible. And even if Taeyeon were to hand over her stone in exchange for Shinju and the city’s safety, how does she even know that King will keep his word? He’s too unpredictable to trust, but in their current situation what choice did Taeyeon really have? “YAH! Do you really think you’re in this on your own??” Sunny interrupted her thoughts.

“Sunny, I can’t put Tiffany’s life on the line like this, against eleven powerful mages. The risk is too great.”

“So the odds are more in your favour if you fight them alone? Umm, you and I both know that math doesn’t work like that Tae.”

“I can’t risk her getting hurt, I…”

“Tae let’s be real for a second, do you honestly think that these mages will be strong enough against you and Tiffany? You guys are probably one of the strongest out there, both of you have King Soul stones for God’s sake! Regardless of Tiffany doesn’t have her king conjure, she only needs her king conjuration to beat king, not anyone else in his little army.  And did you forget the fact that you have your own army too? Yoona and Seohyun are also by your side Tae.”

“No… it’s too early to be sending them out there, they don’t have full control over their powers yet.”

“What? From what I saw, they had better control than you did when you first got your powers and yet when you first got your powers, you took on two wyverns completely on your own. Sure the second time was quite close to a terrible end, but unlike you Tae, they won’t be alone, unlike you, they have each other and better yet Tiffany will also be there to back them up. If you asked me Tae, you’ve confused the feeling of worry for their safety with lack of trust for them. You don’t trust them enough to be out there taking care of the blood stone users while you take care of King, well news flash Tae, they’ve been fighting this battle just like you have with or without your help. Before you came, Tiffany had already heard of a spreading drug and was working on finding the origins of the drug to destroy it, sure she wasn’t entirely herself, but she still had the intention to help. And those adorable twins, they’ve been fighting for their sick friends long before they knew who Vermilion truly was and they were going to fight this even without powers. Tae, you have your own army at your fingertips. Use it!” Sunny demanded.

“Do you ever get tired of being right Sunny?” Taeyeon teased.

“Nope, never.”
