“It’s hell! Something happened! I don’t know what! The generator exploded and created a breach, a portal of sorts! The entirety of the island except for this facility was replaced by a jungle and now we are trapped here with those… beasts! Please, you have to send someone, anyone, please just get us out of here!”
The line started distorting before going completely mute.
Kyungwon remained in her seat, shocked, as she tried to process the information that was given to her.
Her usually boring day suddenly turned upside down.
A group of researchers was trapped on an island… with dinosaurs, product of the malfunction of a third energy generator.
“Holy… …”- She rose slowly, picking the phone to her right as she did, she punched in the numbers clumsily – her hand was actually shaking- and someone picked up the call almost immediately – “Ummm… Minkyung… we have a problem…”
“A really big problem…”
Foreword
Hey there… I know I said I was going to be focusing on the Minkyebin story but hear me out.
I’m not going to update this one for now until I finish that one (Which I’ll start updating starting next week).
I’m going to work on this one after along the side-stories for “S&S”
I was casually searching aff when a random thought came to me: “What about a survival AU?” and I thought about an apocalyptic zombie survival setting but ditched the idea since I don’t really have anything new to offer to that genre (Besides, we already have a great Z-survival Pristin AU in the form of “red in tooth”)
And then it hit me, what about another overlooked threat that actually hasn’t been done before?!
Bam, an island infested of ravenous carnivores, ready to tear everyone apart as soon as they see them. Besides, I think D-survival differs from Z-survival since it doesn’t necessarily mean the humanity is ending, so that opens doors (plot-wise) for me to go that wouldn’t be available for Z-apocalypse stories.
Plot and settings are loosely based on a game I played when I was younger, “Dino Crisis” (A game made by Capcom and the underdog to Resident evil). I’m borrowing basic concepts from the first two games (mostly regarding the poop science behind the game and a bit of the actual setting, nothing more than that, this will have its own story) but you don’t have to play it to understand since I’ll make sure I explain them thoroughly.
I plan on writing this closer to “suspense” than “action” but, given the nature of the setting itself, action is guaranteed too. Pairings may vary and I plan on making them a little bit more relevant to the story than I did with “S&S”
I know I’ m practically posting this MONTHS before I even release the first chapter, but I find this a really good way to build hype both for me and the readers.
Story will be kinda long (about 10-12 chapters I assume? Maybe a little more) and I’ll probably update it along with S&S arc 2 after I come back from my break.
Nothing else to say other than I wish you like it. I’m really hyped to write this tbvh so idk if I’ll be able to contain myself lmao.
