Description

Fake smiles froze the moment their eyes met across the table. The past rushed back, overwhelming their minds with memories of joy and pain; secrets and lies. Old wounds were reopened as the four men silently regarded each other for the first time in years. How long has it been since…we were one?

Foreword

Yixing, Luhan, Yifan and Zitao were all invited to participate in a new Chinese game show. This is the first time all four of them appeared on the same stage after what happened with EXO. Though none of them wanted to admit it, emotions were running high because they knew this might be their only opportunity to share everything they’ve held back.

One chance to apologize and forgive, confess and acknowledge.

And maybe…just maybe…they’d even get to properly say goodbye.

Characters: The focus of this fic is on Yixing and the three former Chinese members of EXO. Other members of EXO will be mentioned as well.

I am pretty sure if you look closely, you can find all the EXO ships under the sun in this fic.

Chapter 4: I've been rereading this fic for awhile now! I still love the characterization and how realistic the plot is so far. I have also noticed that you were taking a break and coming back in late June, (hehe it's August now but I'll keep waiting for you). I hope you can update soon!

Chapter 4: Just read ep02-03 and this is getting more interesting with each chapter! Although I started reading because of layhan, i'm really curious about what will happen with Yifan. I also really love the flashbacks. Because of "The first time [they were this close]" i can't wait to see if there was anything more building on that between Yixing and Luhan. Thanks for updating <3

Chapter 4: I loved the LayHan/group flashback! I can only imagine what sort of games they actually play when together.

"Yixing was gone. And so was Yifan." Hmmm. I can't tell if this implies something was going on between the two.

Also, i did not expect Tao would punch Yifan...... can't wait to see what happens next. Thank you for writing!

Chapter 3: Woah, this chapter was heavy. I really loved it, and it has set up so much potential for the chapters to come! Two little things that I noticed:
1) calico cats are almost always female due to some rules of genetics.
2) Yixing is not Yifan's "ge." In Mandarin Chinese, "ge" or "gege" means older brother, so Yifan is Yixing's ge, but not the other way around. Any easy fix would just be Yifan calling Yixing his "didi," which means younger brother. Actually though these are just picky suggestions, there is really no need for you to change anything. Just thought I might spread the knowledge, and if you feel like editing the fic it is at your own discretion! I'm loving the fic a lot~

Chapter 2: That's some Battle Royal business right there, the way you describe it! Love it hahah. The flashback stings and my guess is that Yixing and Yifan's friendship might have started deteriorating already then, with Yifan choosing his friends carefully and Yixing being the cute, happy one who likes almost everyone. And of course, Luhan showing up to "snatch him away", perhaps (/probably)... Well, you know I'm layhan trash so I'm not even gonna lie about really looking forward to their parts of this story. Thank you for updating <3

Chapter 1: My heart started hurting as soon as i started reading, before anything even happened. I guess it's the curse of exo-m? Anyway, i already love this so, so much and i was really happy to see (on AO3) that it's planned to be many chapters. The creeping angst is already getting me, and i cant wait to see what happens between Yixing and Luhan. I also really, really appreciate the subtle ing you have here. Thank you sooo much for writing this, i've been craving a fic (especially layhan) like this ;-;
