“Oh, I am looking forward to today’s guests myself.” Shinyoung says as she reads off her script. “They are the hottest indie band in Korea now; not only can they sing, they can also dance, play the instruments and have visuals that can rival any idol groups out there! Let’s welcome, TM!”

“Hello, we are TM!” The five members of TM chorused, hoping that their nervousness didn’t show.

“Please introduce yourself individually.” Shinyoung says as she looks at the other five people in the studio, calming them down with her small smile.

“Okay, hi I’m Jihyo, the leader of TM!” Jihyo starts off like the leader she is, and the other members cheer and clap for her. It moves on to the member beside Jihyo, and she clears .

“Hi I’m Nayeon!” She greets and waves to the camera in the room, bunny teeth in full blast.

“Hi I’m Jeongyeon!” The short hair girl states as she grins to the camera on her.

“Hi I’m Dahyun!” The tofu exclaims as she holds up a ‘V’ to the camera.

“Hi I’m Chaeyoung!” The youngest in the team answers as she gives a small smile while waving to the camera on her.

“Yes, so we have TM here today on our radio and from what I have heard, this seems to be your radio debut?” Shinyoung asks and the five of them nods in agreement.

“Yes, this is the first time we are on live radio, so please forgive us if we make any mistakes.” Jihyo answers for the team, and the rest shoot nervous smiles at the camera on them.

“Ayyyy, you guys are doing great so far!” Shinyoung says in jest. “Can you tell us more about how you guys came to form a group together?”

“Chaeyoung started writing her own music with Dahyun, and we thought it would be a waste not to perform it, so we uploaded a video of us performing onto the net and things blew up and we got picked up by our current label, JYP.” Nayeon explains, eyes still twinkling at the unbelievable memory.

“Wow, it sounds like a fairy tale come true.” Shinyoung coos.

“Yeah, we still can’t believe it till today.” Dahyun replies, shaking her head dramatically.

“So what does the group name, TM, means?”

“It actually stands for trademark, where we want to make music that belongs only to us, like our trademark. It can also mean trend maker, where we want to set new trends with our music.” Jeongyeon declares like she has memorized it beforehand, but really, it’s just engrained in her head.

“That’s really meaningful, who came up with it?”

“Chaeyoung did!” Jihyo says, and immediately turns to look at said girl with a proud smile.

“Woah, as expected of the composer of the group. Chaeyoung-ssi, I heard you wrote the songs this time too, why don’t you introduce the song you guys will be performing after the advertisement break?”

“Okay. Our title track this time is “I Need U”, it showcases a person in love who still needs their lover but their lover doesn’t love them anymore, so the person is left alone, still needing and loving their lover even though it hurts them.” Chaeyoung tries to summarize her song as best as she can and she feels Jihyo’s hand under the table patting her lap to calm her. She turns to smile at their leader, hoping to reassure the older girl that she’s fine, that it doesn’t really hurt by now. It turned out for the best, this writing thing, and she can’t be happier that it helped all of them become successful, together.

“… TM, please take your spots.” Shinyoung tells them and they all get up to get behind their mics. They all nod at her and she announces into the mic, “Everybody, this is TM, singing their newest title track, “I Need U”!”
