Hanuel found Jonghyun on her way to the cafeteria and they walked together. Jonghyun had asked how her first classes had gone and she told him everything she could remember.

“You wouldn't believe what the teacher had said. Apparently, we’re all made out of these little things that are all over our bodies and he called them ‘cells’. I don’t know if to believe it or not though, it seems absurd” she said while pondering about all the other things she learned.

Jonghyun chuckled at her statement. “After being to school for a bit you begin to see that a lot of things that may seem stupid or absurd start to make sense and appear normal,” he said while opening the door for Haneul to enter the cafeteria.

They both sat down with their lunches and started to chat away about anything and everything. Halfway through discussing how apples aren’t different, it’s just that they put something in them to make them shiny. (She wasn’t having that, she knew they put something in there to poison people). She started to glance around the room, she stopped and set her eyes on a lonely figure a few tables away from hers. It was the guy that sat beside her, ‘Chanyeol’ she recalled was his name. She didn’t know why he was alone but she wanted to go sit with him.

Just as she was about to ask Jonghyun if they could go, she saw one of the vampires her brother warned her about that morning approach him. She saw the vampire pat his back lightly and sit beside him. She hissed without realizing it and before she knew it she was starting to stand up from her chair. Jonghyun having noticed her strange behavior grabbed her wrist and kept her in place.

“What’s wrong? Why are you acting like this?” he asked concerned.

“Huh?, oh sorry it’s nothing, I just...I thought I saw something” she said while fixing herself up.

“Ok, as long as you’re fine…” he said while looking over her and then glance around the room. He wasn’t stupid he knew something was bothering her, at least enough to make her hiss. He wanted to know what it was but he knew that if he asked he wouldn’t be able to get a response. He decided that he would find out later and for now, he would just take her mind out of it.

Lunch passed by and they both headed back to their classrooms. Jonghyun walked Haneul to class and hugged her bye.

“I have a meeting with a teacher after school so wait for me on one of the benches by the doors okay?” he said and Haneul nodded her head.

They separated from the hug and she went into the classroom to sit down. She looked over at Chanyeol who was already sitting beside her. “Hi, how was your lunch?” she asked. She also wanted to ask why he was sitting and talking with the vampire but decided to leave that for another time.
