The House
Let me love you till you love yourself
They had been walking for quite a bit when Haneul started to complain “How much longer do we need to walk?, I’m sleepy. Do you have food at your place? I’m hungry” sighing he just kept repeating “Be patient, you’ll know when we get there.” Surprisingly enough he wasn't annoyed. He instead thought it was cute.
Looking over at her he went over her features. He noticed that she had lost a lot of weight. He concluded that it was because she hadn't eaten a lot in a while, he made a mental note to give her a lot of food once they reached his house. He also made another note to ask her what she had been doing all the years she was away.
However, putting aside all the things he wanted to ask and do, first, he needed to update her. He figured that she didn’t really know the trends seeing that she was wearing a really old and dirty dress from the 1700s.
After a bit more walking they arrived at his house. It was a small two-story house that was hidden inside the woods. He didn’t really appreciate noise and people so he kept to himself most of the time. He directed her to the entry to the house as she looked at it with awe.
“Is this where you live?” she asked. “It looks so different to houses from our time, talking about that what year is it?”
He looked at her as he had his answer as to whether she knew about the time they were currently in or not. “It’s 2017,” he said while instructing her to go into the house.
“It’s been 300 years??!” she said as her face reflected the surprise and wonder she felt.
As she started to look around the main room she noticed that there were a lot of things that she did not recognize from the last time she had been awake. She saw a box that was reflecting light and candles inside little crystal balls. What amazed her the most was thing her brother was using to heat what looked like food up. It had little squares drawn to it and made noises. She also saw that a red light started to emit from one of the circles in the thing.
“It’s called a stove Haneul, it’s like a fireplace but fancier,” he said with a little smile on his face. “This thing I’m heating up is food, it’s called a hamburger,” he said as he waited for a response from her. While he was having the time of his life seeing her try and process what she just heard, Haneul was trying to exam
