Even though Taeyeon claimed everything was okay and that she had forgiven Tiffany, the alpha couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't entirely true. The usual playful banter they used to exchange had disappeared, and Taeyeon's interactions with Tiffany felt more like obligatory responses rather than genuine connection. Tiffany contemplated the idea of playfully calling her by silly names, a nostalgic attempt to bring back their lighthearted days, but she hesitated, fearing it might be misinterpreted and spark another feud between them.

"She's just moody," Tiffany reasoned. "As the book said she would be." According to the book, women, in general, experience a longer post-heat phase than men, sometimes lasting a week or two, which could explain Taeyeon's current behavior. Tiffany anxiously awaited the end of this phase, hoping that things would return to normal between them.

The noticeable distance that Taeyeon, as well as the other girls, maintained from Tiffany weighed heavily on her. Yoona appeared outright disappointed, and Sunny seemed to scrutinize every word and action. Tiffany briefly considered the idea of temporarily leaving the dorm, unsure of how to navigate this situation. All she wanted was to restore the camaraderie they once shared with Taeyeon and revert the dorm back to its former lively state.

Tiffany was cozied up in her room, wrapped in blankets, engrossed in a TV show on her phone when a notification popped up on her screen—Taeng9cam had uploaded a new video. Taeng9Cam! It had been ages since Taeyeon shared anything on her Vlive channel. Intrigued, Tiffany promptly paused her show and clicked on the video. Taeyeon's content wasn't centered around a specific topic; it felt more like a casual chat with their fans.

“I'm feeling down today,” Taeyeon admitted, responding to a fan's question, and an unsettling pang hit Tiffany's stomach. Encouraging comments from fans flooded the screen—why so sad? Please don't be sad, Taengoo… Taengo-ya, we're with you. Then, Taeyeon dropped a bombshell, “I'm hurt because of a friend and what she said to me.” Guilt washed over Tiffany as she absorbed the weight of her actions. "Is it wrong of me to still be hurt even after she apologized?"

Tiffany cursed herself. How could she have done that to Taeyeon? Why did she say those things in front of everyone? Stupid Tiffany! "I'm sorry, Taeyeon," she whispered, though she knew the girl couldn't hear her. "I'm really sorry."

As Tiffany stepped out of her room, her eyes widened at the sight of Taeyeon in the kitchen, dressed up in a casual yet stylish ensemble— skinny jeans, a crisp white shirt, and sleek black boots. Taeyeon was slipping into a black coat, and when she noticed Tiffany. The alpha kin felt her heart race, making a nervous gulp.

“You...are going out?” Tiffany inquired, attempting to sound neither rude nor cold.

“Yes, meeting up with Heechul,” Taeyeon replied, her eyes focused on her buttons.

“Is it safe?”

“To what?”

“Go out?”

“Why wouldn't?”

“I don't know. You're still in heat.”

“I'm not in heat,” she clarified, her voice firm. “Thank God the nightmare is over.”

“But you're still in your post-heat phase, right?” Tiffany approached her.

“No, I'm not.”

“Yes, you are. You're still moody.” 

Taeyeon exhaled, completing the buttoning of her jacket. “Well, you'd be moody too if you spent days leaking like a faucet with no end,” she retorted, causing Tiffany to twist her lips. The girl sighed, moving past Tiffany. “But I’m fully rested and there isn’t an ounce of that anymore.” 

“Taeyeon…”

“I gotta go; Heechul is waiting for me.”

“Taeyeon…” The alpha called out, but the girl barely listened, grabbing her phone and bag before proceeding to leave.

“Just… be careful,” Tiffany urged.

“You solved it...” Sunmi said, her nails circling around Tiffany's abs just slightly.

“What?”

“Your issue… you solved it. You are not angry anymore.” Tiffany sighed. 

“I didn't solve it.”

“So where did you anger go?”

“I'm not angry. I'm just sad.” 

“What happened? Had a fight with the boyfriend?” 

“No. It wasn't with a boy. It was with a girl I like.” 

“A girl?” 

“She's omega kin.” 

“Hm, of course she is. It's true what people say about them after all.” Tiffany looked at Sunmi, who kissed her neck. 

“What do you mean by that?” 

“Omegas. Sooner or later, they will pull every alpha kin towards them.” Tiffany blinked. 

“What makes 'em so special?” She asked curiously. 

“I don't know.” Sunmi replied. “I wish I could know. Every single kin has something that makes them unique. But alphas can’t just help themselves from being enchanted by omega charms.”

“I wish I could understand what is going on with us. Maybe I could do something about it. After she moved into our dorm, I can't really stop thinking about her.” Tiffany revealed. 

Sunmi clicked her tongue. “She's your roommate...”

“Yes. And she is untaken...”

“How is she even untaken living under your roof? Don't you bang her when you're angry?”

“No.” Tiffany denied, vehemently. 

“Why not?”

“Because it's our home. And you should be safe at home. Not banged by your roommates.” 

Sunmi chuckled at the answer. “What is the matter with her?” The woman asked, even though she wasn't so interested about the topic. She was way more busy kissing Tiffany than anything. 

“She was taking pills to avoid her heat.”

“Smart decision.” 

“Do you think so?”

“Hell yeah. I'd take them as well if I were an omega. Thank God I'm a healthy beta kin.” 

“She's been taking 'em for her entire life. Never wanting to have her fever.”

“For an alpha that's a nightmare, isn't it?” Sunmi teased. “Poor girl clouding your alpha instincts.” 

“I thought she was making herself sick, so I asked her to drop the medicine.”

"And she agreed?"

“Why did she listen to a lusty alpha in need?” 

“I wasn't in need.” She denied. “And I was certainly not lusty. She listened to me because we were friends. Best friends.”

“We were good friends. We trusted one another and we had a good relationship.”

“But she dropped her pills.” Tiffany exhaled. “And went into her fever heat, ruining everything."

"She thought I asked her to halt the medicine so I could hear her beg for me."

"You didn't?"

"No!"

"Really?" Sunmi stopped playing and looked at Tiffany. “That's what every alpha kin wants to hear. Them begging. Especially during their leaking.” 

Tiffany shook her head. “I didn't. I just thought that she needed to go through that in order to know herself better.”
