“Unnie, I hope you don't mind. She's a friend and needs a place to live in town, so I invited her to stay in our dorm,” Yoona introduced the new girl.

Her scent was different from the other girls in the dorm. It carried a subtle hint of orange melon, a sweet citrusy fragrance with a mild undertone of alcohol. Tiffany had never encountered a person to have hints of alcohol notes on their scents, that was so unique. 

Unique and somewhat inviting. Tiffany wasn't ually interested in omegas but she couldn’t lie, their scents were undoubtedly their most powerful weapon.

“Her name's Taeyeon.”

Taeyeon. Meaning calm and serenity in Korean, a typical omega name. They are so weak and pathetic even their names express their personalities. Even more so the need of their parents to feel a little bit special naming their kids with stupid names such as Taeyeon or Eunha. 

“Okay, nice to meet you, Taeyeon. I'm Tiffany Hwang,” she said, extending her hand as a polite gesture.

Taeyeon blinked, taking a step backwards.  

“Tiffany is an alpha, yes.” Yoona added in. “But don’t worry. She’s the only alpha in the house and she can be trusted. You are safe with us, Tae. Trust me.”

Taeyeon glanced downwards, fixating on Tiffany’s hands, still not moving an inch. She ignored the offered hand and bowed respectfully instead. Tiffany felt her heart skip a beat as her nostrils, unbeknownst to herself, widened enough to let that addictive aroma imprint her senses.

“Taeyeon is really shy and reserved,” Yoona explained. “She doesn't like crowded places or many people.”

“Typical omega,” Tiffany muttered.

“Aigo, Tiff…” Sunny intervened, sensing Taeyeon's discomfort at Yoona's side. “Could you be more respectful? How could you say that in front of her?”

Tiffany shrugged. “It's the truth.” She never understood why alphas wasted their time looking for omegas when there were plenty of betas around. Betas weren't like omegas; they were fun, not clingy, and had personalities. Tiffany liked people with attitude. Every omega she had ever come across in her lifetime was nice and gentle but undeniably boring. Yoona and Seohyun made Tiffany snooze off instead of turning her on. That omega called Taeyeon wouldn't be any different.

“She's from Jeonju, doesn't have a family here. So I thought it wouldn't be a problem to have her around. You're the only alpha in our dorm, and you're not interested in omegas, so she's pretty much safe.”

“Yeah, that's alright.” Tiffany turned herself around to get back to her room. You are also part of this dorm, Yoon, and should have a say in who you want to live with just the same.” 

“Yeah, but you are the leader of our dorm, so just to make sure we have your acceptance.” 

“You do.” 

“Thanks, Unnie..” 

“Just tell her the rules and it’s good.” Tiffany didn’t even bother having another look at the new girl. 

“Don't mind her. Typical alpha.” Sunny added in. “Welcome to Seoul, Taeyeon! And Welcome to our dorm!” She added. “I hope you'll enjoy your stay!”

And Taeyeon smiled, gladly.

“There's a new girl in our dorm.” Tiffany told the group. “An omega.” 

“I in' love omegas.” Jessi didn't waste time to add. 

“No, you love in' omegas.” Bora corrected, making everyone laugh. Jessi smirked. 

“Yeah, they are quite nice.” 

“What's the deal with them?” Tiffany decided to ask. Her group of friends were all alpha females and two of the members, Jessi and Yuri, were always hunting omega males around. “I find them very bland and boring.” 

“Different for different folks, I guess.” Yuri shrugged off. “They are weak and hopeless but good lord they feel so good! And their scent smells so nice.” 

“She smells kinda good, I gotta admit.”

“Smells good? Tiffany, have you ever felt the scent of an omega in heat?” 

“Yes. Seohyun’s. Didn't really .” 

“Well, their pheromones trigger different responses from us. Seohyun was so young and she’s more like a sister to you, ain’t it? Besides, are you even interested in women in the first place? I don’t think I’ve seen you ually engaging with girls before.” 

“They are not out of my list if they manage to enchant me in some ways.” She said, slurping more of her beverage. “Something quite rare to happen I have to say.” 

“I know some good women.” Jessi added in. “In case you wanna give it a shot, you can talk to me.”

“I would stay away from them if I were you, Tiff.” Yuri advised, making Jessi look at her. 

“Why?”

“Your women are all crazy and unstable, Jessi. In case you need someone more normal and chilling you can come to me, Tiff, I have some contacts. The best ones.” Yuri tried to make an impression. 

“What about Yoona? She’s an omega as well, right?” Bora was the one recalling.”How do you even manage to stay sane when Yoona goes into heat?”

“Everytime Yoona is about to get her fever, she travels back to her hometown.” Tiffany said, recalling events from past seasons. “I don’t think I’ve seen her stay in our dorm during her cycles.” 

“That’s not a bad plan.” Yuri said. “Quite clever, I must say. Safe from all the tigers from Seoul.” 

“Also, isn’t Yoona's marked already?” Jessi remarked. “They smell different when they are taken and when they are not. An untaken omega in heat is heaven on Earth. Little bastards mess with our heads so much.”
