Mismatched Socks

Description

Marie has never fallen in love. She has always seen guys as friends and therefore accidentally lead them on. During one of these misunderstandings she meets Taehyung. Through Taehyung Marie comes across Jeongguk; a quiet, secluded boy who wants nothing to do with her. And it becomes Maries mission to become his friend. In the process she learns that Love is never the beginnig of a relationship. And love is never a one way street. Met with many obstacles, she struggles to find a hold somewhere, learning that sometimes it is better to just let yourself fall.

"I'm sorry," the bump to his shoulder quietly called as the girl continues running. He watched her.

The heavy churchbells were echoing down the street. Jeongguk had always had something for churchbells. He allowed himself a moment to take in the scenery. The first warm day of the new year. Sun rays danced on his upstretched face, coaxing a smile out of him. Spring was here. A slight breeze broke the trance. He had somewhere to be. He took long strides around the corner down Maple Street, stopping under a rusty sign which had experienced too many weathe changes. he leaned back onto the cement walls and rested his hands inside his jeans pockets before soaking his face in the sun again. He shouldn't have hurried; his hyungs were always late. He didn't mind much.

Time was a concept made by people. It wasn't real for him, so it could neither be wasted or treasured. Time was never rushed. It would always stay consistent, just like the steady heartbeat of your pulse. Quite ironic, how the one boy with no care for puntuality ended up with the best time management. In the dorm room he shared with his bandmates, he was the last one to wake up and the first one ready to depart. All he needed was a white t-shirt and jeans. Styling himself was never Jeongguk's kind of thing.

Rushed footsteps and loud laughter reached his ears. He pushed himself off the wall to greet the rowdy bunch.

Foreword

This is a piece of life first love story kinda thing. I haven't ever written in this style before, but I am hoping to capture the lightness, uncertainty and dreamlike state of a first love and friendship.

My description is so ambiguous: I am truly sorry. I just don't want to spoil anything yet, and I haven't even figured out the full plot line yet. I do hope I will succeed to pull through with this writing style. Some parts may come across as strange, cause I will be incorporating parts of my diary in here, and the transitions might start off as cut off. I will be editing this along the way, so hold out with me, or maybe read this when I am finished? Anyway, I can't wait and am excite to write this. If someone enjoys it as well, even better. Thank you, and remember: don't get caught up in your wrong doings and then believe you are a bad person. We criticize ourselves too harshly, when we should be concentrating on supporting our own dreams.

Chapter 1: Hello there! I saw your application to my beta request today. I read your stories and I will say that I'm in love with your writing style. Since I'm bad at description, and your story is well descriptive, I think you can help me improve that. I want to PM you to talk about a few things, but your wall is for friend only so I sent you a friend request. Please accept it and we'll chat about it. Anyway, thanks for helping me.
